I love Dev and the author Mike did another wonderful job delivering another hit!! I just adore his detective books. Devlin Haskel is a man with a great heart that has trouble wit I received this book in exchange for a honest review. Devlin Haskel is a man with a great heart that has trouble with women and a penchant for trouble. It just happens to land on him in a big heap. Dev always manages to get out by the skin of his nails.

I am definitely going to buy the ones I haven't read and see what other weird scenarios Dev lands in. I look forward to more by this author and this series is one I will surely recommend to my friends. Dev takes his date Carol to a bar and while getting a drink meets Justine who inquires about his Detective Service. He is then trust into the world of female roller derby. Justine just so happens to be "Spankie" and is intrigued by the information.

He takes the job and learns that the England team the Hustlers famous player is being stalked by weirdo that puts middle fingers in weird places like on the outside of a door. He and Jimmy work together try to figure the best course of action regarding the stalker.

While on the job, an incident happens leaving Dev in cuffs and accused of something that was a misunderstanding. After that the stalker is bound and determined to blame Dev for the incidents against the famous player. Will Dev figure out the stalker? Will he be put in jail for good? Find out in the amazing and delightful tale!! I give this book a 5 star review. I couldn't put it down once I started. I laughed at loud at Dev went through and some of the things he says.

Bombshell is no exception, Dev spend more time than usual in custody. He actually spends less time in bed due to being in custody thus also less drinking. But this all is why I love a Dev Haskell book. He is human and I dated a few Dev Haskell's in my day.

I am no Heidi though. Dev is a character that is so stereotypical that he is as familiar to the reader as a character can be. The plot of Bombshell, in its simplicity and its predictability gave me a few welcome hours of respite where thinking was not required and where pure enjoyment was the name of the game. Dev Haskell, hapless P. This time he's working with American roller derby babes and their British counterparts. What starts out as a hunt for whoever is sending grisly items meant to scare one of the performers quickly turns into a murder investigation, and Dev is smack in the middle of it. Faricy has given us another clever mystery, along with humorous dialogue, a tight plot, and compelling characters.

Everyone in the city hates him because of this. He just keeps getting into trouble but it is fun trying to figure out what stupid thing he will do next. Dev Haskell is a private investigator asked to help with some mysterious things that are happening to one of the ladies on the team from London. However, he becomes a prime suspect. Can Dev help solve the crime before he is found guilty of the crimes?

Faricy is a strong writer and takes care of the reader. A la Ray Chandler, Faricy's characters make bad decisions early, and their consequences inform the story. I didn't realize I had several of Faricy's books already on my Kindle, so as soon as I read one, I galloped onto the next one. Makes it hard to review just one book. The stalker is more crazy then dangerous, leaving fingers taped to Harlotte Davidson's locker. If you like private investigator novels with humor, I think you'll enjoy reading books in this series. And so far, Mr. Faricy has written eleven of them. He must probably be one of the worst detectives ever, but a fun guy. A loser who thinks he's good, yet in his bumbling way he gets the job done. The humour is rather understated and one cannot help but feel a sense of sympathy for him.

He flouts every sensible and reasonable instruction but it takes the storyline to its end and justice prevails. In this story, he is a victim but somehow one cannot help but consider that it's his own fault. Recommended reading, like the froth on a double latte. I love how the storyline had Dev in the middle of another huge mess. The great thing about Dev is that he is consistently mucking things up, royally ticking off women and somehow solves cases in the meantime.

His antics are hilarious and usually end up having the opposite effect he was going for. The characters were great. This is one of those series that I've grown to love. I look forward to reading more of Dev's adventures. A great add to your tbr list. I thought Bombshell was a fun read. Dev Haskell, PI, is a womanizer who drinks too much but manages to get the job done.

There were so many times I laughed out loud while reading that my husband asked what was funny. He, too, laughed when I read sections to him. Bombshell is a quick read.
