Norse Mythology - Hotty Immortal, kick arse female lead.

The storyline is filled with twists and turns, romance and giggles and I fell in love with all the characters a little more with each page turn. The story runs at a great pace, keeping the reader hooked till that very last page has been turned.

With each instalment Ednah leaves us wanting more. Immortals is Filled with action, evil, adventure, mystery, and an even a little sparkly flare of romance that all we readers love to enjoy. Id enjoy a smooch or two off Torin grins! But I did enjoy seeing a little more of Eric in this story. I enjoyed the getting to know each other again stage but it seems that love always finds a way. Sigh We have a Kick arse female lead - she is no whiney - poor me oh my kind of girl.

She has spunk and we certainly see a strong side of her character in this story. This I enjoy much so in a story. Including all emotions and vivid descriptions. James, I would learn to reap souls, because forever with him sounded perfect. Those are the words I would use to describe how I felt while reading this book!! This book was perfect in every sense if the word. Raine gets her heart back only to have him not remember her. It was devastating but, Raine being Raine would of course change that.

She is finally starting to accept who and what she is. I love all the talk of Valhalla, the talk of all the gods, the runes, and of course of Torin. He really is, In this book we meet Lavania, at first I didn't like her but then I realize she's the "mom" to the other Valkyrie and an amazing teacher to Raine. So many different things happen in this book!

So many things revealed, so many events happen and it is paving the way to another amazing book. This author tells an amazing story and its only gotten better with this book! Great characters, settings, and she describes things perfectly! Just an all around great book! Everyone will love this book so if you haven't read book you need to get on that immediately! Nov 10, Tamara rated it really liked it. I just can't stop loving this world. Call me an Ednah Walters fan, because I just can't get enough.

Aug 13, Sharon rated it it was amazing Shelves: Torin is still completely infuriating but such a sweetheart! I love them individually but put them together and the chemistry is amazing. The romance has progressed at a believable pace which I quite liked. The plot was evenly paced and with a few unexpected twists and turns thrown in, it put a real spin on what I thought was actually going to happen, I liked the element of surprise. The secondary characters are awesome, Eirik is a sweetheart but we see a different side to him in this book, Cora is the supportive friend every girl needs to have but she turned out to be quite the surprise and I adored the parental presence and the love and support they showed to not only Raine but also Eirik.

I also came to like Andris in this book, we also meet powerful Valkyrie Lavania who at times I didn't know whether could be trusted or not. Overall, a fabulous, kick-butt sequel! Amazing action sequences, norse mythology written extremely well and the best kind of romance and friendships.

Ednah Walters is an auto-buy author for me; her story-telling is fabulous. I want to thank Ednah Walters for writing such a masterpiece. Ednah is a brilliantly creative writer. What she brings to life in her stories is beyond compare. She continually surprises me with just how talented she is. When she puts pen to paper or hands to keyboard she makes magic happen. Each book she writes outdoes the last one. Ednah is among a select set of writers that I consider to be my all time favorite. T I want to thank Ednah Walters for writing such a masterpiece.

The literary word would be a lot dimmer if she was not among them. Raine and Torin have a long road ahead of them. Raine has to convince Torin that they are meant to be together while, at the same time, keep her best friend Eirik from dark forces that threaten to force him down a dark and evil road. While Raine is starting her lessons on how to manipulate runes as a Valkyrie, Torin is struggling against the possibility that his memories of his and Raine's life together have been erased by Norns.

As if being labeled a witch wasn't bad enough Raine also has to deal with the fact that someone is defacing her locker along with Cora's. With everything that is going on Raine is fighting a losing battle to save Eirik from turning evil. If I had one wish it would be to see Ednah's Runes Series turned into a movie trilogy.

I have been so honored by being able to experience this series before the rest of the world. I know it is off my scale but I can't help it, it is just that good. I actually feel giving it a 20 just isn't enough. You just can't put a number or a price on just how fantastic this book or this series is. Ok so the ending of Runes was insane.

My reaction was "What?! How can they do this?! With Torin losing all his memories with Raine, she either had to somehow get him to remember their time together or make him fall in love with her all over again. Easier said than done because they did not like each other in the beginning. Of course Raine was still totally smitten with him, Torin just thought she was a silly g Ok so the ending of Runes was insane.

Of course Raine was still totally smitten with him, Torin just thought she was a silly girl with a crush. As she tries to figure things out with Torin, she also has to protect another important guy in her life. Can she help them both or will she lose them in the process? I wanted to wrap myself around him like a pretzel, bury my face in his neck and just soak him in. He hadn't shaved again, but I wasn't complaining. The shadow in his chin made him look even yummier. How can he claim he didn't want me yet look at me with such heat? I wanted to kick him or yell at him then kiss him senseless.

This book was so good! I really enjoyed it. I loved the characters, the twists and turns, the surprises and the betrayals. Sounds like the perfect book doesn't it? And if I thought the ending of Runes was a surprise, so was this one. I recommend this book to everyone, I thoroughly enjoyed it and I can't wait for the other books to come. I really enjoy Ednah's writing style and her awesome plots and she's got great ideas for the future books, i can't wait to find out. Dec 10, Amber-Rose rated it really liked it. Immortals started up right where we left off in Runes and I must say I am glad, nothing annoys me more than a massive time jump and your left wondering what an earth is going on.

Yet again Ednah has managed to drag me into her world with her writing, it was as though the more I read the deeper I got and that's saying a lot considering it is only Book 2! Immortals is filled with everything we hoped to see, tension, suspense, lies and truth, romance, GODS my gosh I need a Torin! I cannot wait to continue this amazing story!

This review and many others can be found on my blog - Feed Your Fiction Addiction Immortals was an awesome follow-up to Runes. It had everything I loved about the first book and more! This book starts up two weeks after the last book left off. Raine and her family have just come back from a cruise they needed to get away for awhile after the swim team tragedy that claimed several swimmers' lives. But, Raine can't just go back to life as usual. First of all, everyone knows about how s 4. First of all, everyone knows about how she went crazy at the swim meet and tried to get people out of the pool.

Word is that Raine is a witch - and everyone either fears or hates her. Luckily, she still has her best friends Eirik and Cora by her side. Unfortunately, Raine doesn't have Torin by her side. He still has no memory of Raine and he isn't convinced when Raine tries to tell him about their history together. But, Raine isn't ready to give up on Torin.

She believes that she can win him back - one way or another! Torin is not Raine's only problem - The Norns have informed Raine that Eirik is in trouble and that she is the only one who can help him. She has to work to keep her friends and family safe while trying to regain the life she hoped for with Torin. A good portion of the book is based on the fact that Torin not only doesn't remember Raine, but he also doesn't believe her when she tells him that they were together.

I had a little bit of trouble understanding Torin's complete lack of belief considering that he knows what Norns are capable of and didn't quite understand why everyone didn't just back Raine up right away so that he would know she was telling the truth. Instead Raine decides that she can't convince him and just makes comments about her "ex-boyfriend" I couldn't figure out if Torin actually realized she was referring to him or not.

It all just felt slightly awkward to me. But, things got much better later on as far as this was concerned and I felt like some explanations were given that made sense, so this ended up being pretty forgivable.

No more love triangle. I was very happy that the love triangle was resolved rather than being dragged out into two books. As I mentioned in my review of Runes below , the love triangle was my least favorite part of the first book, so I was happy to have it resolved.

I said that I loved Eirik in the first book and I that didn't change in this book even though Eirik himself went through some major transformations! If anything, Eirik became a much more interesting and well-rounded character. We still saw his loyal, loving side, but we also got a glimpse at a darker side of Eirik that was unexpected and really interesting! The sparks between these two were really flying in this book! I felt for Raine as she struggled to get "her" Torin back and I just wanted to reach out and shake him when he didn't believe her about their relationship!

And when Torin does finally start to realize that everything is not as it seems, I was captivated by his pain at not being able to remember pieces of his life. Unlike the first book where I was slightly conflicted, I was rooting for Torin and Raine all the way in this book! Just like in the first book, I thought that the mythology was seamlessly integrated into the book in a way that wasn't confusing and we got to see even more of the mythological characters and the problems that they caused!!

The book was action-packed and exciting with LOTS of paranormal activity. Immortals was an exciting roller-coaster of a sequel. This was one case where I felt like book 2 actually even outshone book 1. If you enjoyed Runes, I'm pretty sure you will absolutely love Immortals! Yes, only one L in Hel. So much happens; so much to keep up with and one twist after another. The characters kept me interested and non stop action.

This is not just a love story but it covers everything guys want in a book too; action, sports, death, mystery, suspense and mythology. For the girls, there is a love story, family, loss and friendship. You want it - you got it all right here folks! We start Holy Hel! We start off a couple weeks after the end of the last book. Torrin doesn't remember Raine.

But we all know that he has to get them back somehow. Otherwise, we would be angry readers! Torrin does slowly remember things. Just not the memories that made them special. He remembers her nickname first. He is also a jerk and Raine decides she should just cut her losses and move on. But she can't and Torrin is miserable but he doesn't know why. Raine's dad is back and he starts running again. Raine worries about him because he looks sickly but she runs with him. She loves that he is back and is cooking again too.
