We know that God is near to those who worship Him and that He inhabits the praises of His people. Over these next 30 days consider devoting yourself to prayer and having a heart of worship. Release your heart to God and worship Him as He inhabits your praises. Becoming a Christian can be likened to becoming an Olympic athlete. Likewise a believer cannot step into the race of God without counting the cost first. A man of God is called to be a leader in this race. It refreshes a weary soul, and encourages a person to go and do likewise. It inspires them to do good and not evil. By showing kindness we can turn others to righteousness.

This is exactly how Jesus saves us. By His kindness we find salvation through conviction. When we walk in His kindness others experience the very beating heart of Christ. When we choose kindness it stirs our heart. We experience God and it opens our eyes to see His kindness more clearly. With them we can build up a heart or with them we can break one. Love has always been expressed first through the lips.

Before every romantic relationship begins, words of love come first. We communicate our hearts through our mouths, and whatever is bubbling over from our hearts spills forth from the mouth. Like a kiss on the ear a beautiful word can truly bless a soul. But a bitter word can crush a spirit. Knowing this, we ought to devote ourselves to having holy, edifying, and loving tongues. For if the Gospel of Jesus comes from our mouths, then what are hurtful words doing there as well?

One should be careful to abstain from negative talChoosing Words That Healk, whether toward others or of ourselves. Consider devoting yourself to have lips full of love as you choose words that heal. Have you ever wondered why you're on this earth? What your purpose is and what your place in life is? Have you ever wanted to know why you exist and what you're created for? You have been created for something more than this life. You have been made by God who cherishes, treasures, and loves you. Your purpose and your meaning are found wrapped up in His arms.

He made you to be His special treasure. You have not been made to suffer through life but have been created by God for His love. There are many influences in this world. Some turn us to the Lord and some distract us from Him. Desire haunts us like an evil thing. Our flesh pulls at our hearts with a gnawing fury, seeking to break down what Christ has built up in us. The Devil plays on our desires and entices us, that we should be shamefaced before our God.

But by discipline in the Spirit we can curb our fleshly desires and acquire the heart of the Lord. His desires shall become our desires, and our hearts and minds will be refreshed in His love. Our will can be conformed to His, and the sting of sin can be defeated through the power of God. By overcoming the flesh, and conforming our desires to His, we can have a victory walk in the Spirit that isn't overshadowed by sin and bondage. By release, and by the freedom granted to us from continuously walking in God's Spirit we can become fully pleasing to Him in discipline and desire.

In every circumstance, and in so many ways God is always communicating to us. He continually speaks to us to communicate His love and reflect His will to us. He always shares His heart, and continually gives His children His word. Whether through the circumstances of life, through the inward voice of the Holy Spirit, through His word in the Bible, through His presence, or through other individuals God is always speaking to us. We must be attentive to His voice, and willing to hear Him at all times. God wants to be intimate with you. He adores you, loves you and cherishes you. Daily He pursues you in His passion, tenderly whispering intimate words of love in your ear.

He is always saying something affectionate or purposeful and none of His words are spoken in vain. Yet everything He speaks comes from a heart of love. Beloved let us not neglect so great a gift, but rejoice in the hope we have in Jesus. Let us rejoice in His word, and walk in it. By practicing them it will bless your relationship with Him as you seek to draw near to the one who loves you most. The Bible is the greatest and most influential book in all of human history.

People have fought for, bled for it, have been tortured for it, have lived for it, and have died for it. It is the most powerful and influential book that has ever existed. For in it are the words of salvation and Eternal life. This salvation is found in no other name than Jesus Christ. Knowing this, the need for understanding the Bible is of infinite importance. We need to seek God on a daily basis in His word. Personal Bible study time, with God in the secret place, should be a daily practice. Daily God is passionately pursuing you from the secret place. He is calling you to a quiet and secret place to intimately convey His love for you through His word.

Life upon earth is a warfare, but you watch the contest and aim man to conquer. The weak you sustain; the victor you crown. The power of prayer is not the result of the person praying. Rather, the power resides in the God who is being prayed to. And if we know that he hears us - whatever we ask - we know that we have what we asked of him. His answers are not always yes, but are always in our best interest. When our desires line up with His will, we will come to understand that in time. When we pray passionately and purposefully, according to God's will, God responds powerfully!

We cannot access powerful prayer by using "magic formulas. We don't have to use certain words or phrases to get God to answer our prayers. In fact, Jesus rebukes those who pray using repetitions, "And when you pray, do not keep on babbling like pagans, for they think they will be heard because of their many words.

Do not be like them, for your Father knows what you need before you ask him" Matthew 6: Prayer is communicating with God. All you have to do is ask God for His help. He stilled the storm to a whisper; the waves of the sea were hushed. They were glad when it grew calm, and he guided them to their desired haven.
