Today, people think that Lighthouse Chapel is rich. Years ago, I compared the income of our church with the income of other churches and I noted that it was relatively lower. The leadership of the church was prepared to adapt to a lower standard of living so that the ministry could move ahead into prosperity. The climate is sometimes hostile to the blossoming of anything successful and prosperous.
They spend thousands of dollars trying to get a visa. If an income of less than three hundred dollars a month puts us beneath the poverty line, then most Ghanaians are economically categorized as poor. Our church is planted deep in the heart of a depressed part of the city. In spite of this, we have prospered and become successful. No matter who you are, you have to study hard if you want to pass your exams.
It is a principle that applies to prayerful and non-prayerful Christians. It is important that you work hard! However, there are things that your hard work cannot provide. Many people work hard, and yet, cannot meet their needs. Look at the testimony of Elijah. He met with a widow who was about to die from a famine. Elijah wanted to minister a miracle of supernatural supply of food to her.
So he told her: Anytime you minister personally to a man of God, you invoke the laws of divine provision. In addition to that, there is also a sectional curse. These two curses came about at the origin of the human race. The existence of these curses makes it necessary for us to apply wisdom and spiritual strength to have victory and unbeatable prosperity in this life. All I am saying is that there was an Adamic curse which was global and there was also a Noahic curse which was sectional.
Another curse you must be aware of is the curse of poverty. I am aware that some people take vows of poverty. I respect them for their great sacrifice to the Lord. However, I can see clearly that when God cursed the Israelites, he used poverty. Poverty leads to a lack of education. The world, and even the Church, is truly polarized into the rich and the poor.
I have been despised before and it is a painful experience. Truly, poverty is not a blessing from God. May God will give you wisdom to escape from the curse of poverty! In every church, there is always a small percentage of people who tithe. You may also have noticed that it is only a small percentage of people who prosper. I call it a secret because it is hidden from many people.

You see, there is what we call a heavenly account. You must have a heavenly account before you will qualify to make heavenly withdrawals. Just like walking up to the bank when you do not have an account or you have an account and there is no money in there, and they say: If you do not have an heavenly account, or you have an account and there is no money in there, you cannot make withdrawals. So, that individual, that Christian who has the right to call forth money is that Christian that has an heavenly account.
Now, how do you have an Heavenly account? That is the only way you will have money in your account. How do I make deposits into my heavenly account? There are three key ways: When you do all this, you are depositing in your heavenly account. Once you have deposit in your heavenly account, you can call forth money. Now, I have money in my account.
What do I do? First of all, I must be very specific about what I want. You do not walk up to the bank and say…hem…hem You are asking the banker! They will look at you as somebody that is not serious. You must make up your mind about what you want, and in this, in the Kingdom of God, you know, a lot of times, the devil has cheated a lot of people, they will say: If I ask God for plenty money, God will not answer me! Do not cheat yourself.
If it is a million nairas, stand on it and say: But you know, there is another aspect that you need which is for the senior class. We will get there. You can ask for anything that you want. Now that you are specific, you want , nairas. If you are married, your best candidate is your wife. Call your wife and say: I want us to agree on this. If you are not married, call your friend that is a believer, not an unbeliever, and you join your faiths together and you pray, agree on that. So, agree on it that you want a million nairas, and that it is coming.
You receive a million nairas. In the morning, the afternoon, at night, anytime of the day, declare that you receive a million nairas. Do you know why you are doing that? The Bible says that when you pray, believe that you will have it and then it is yours! You know, people say, whatever will be will be.
Whatever will be will not be because there is somebody that does not want it to be. So for you to have it, you have to rebuke that person. You cannot stop it! I rebuke you from standing in the way of my miracle. You cannot stop it. Take your hands off my finances! We should call them and send them on errands. So, you send them forth and you say: Bring this money to me. You must be thankful. You give praise to Him. When you thank Him, He will open the door to receive, and that money is coming.
Then, on your own part, be expectant! You must be looking forward to receive Matthieu This aspect is very, very vital. If you overlook it, that money might actually come and you might not recognize it, because you do not know the way God is going to bring the money. Actually, I have a colleague. He changed church sometime and he told me that he dropped all the beliefs of his previous church except one thing: He still does not tithe, and I gave him the scenario of someone that went to Heaven and when he got there, he was welcomed by Angel Michael, and Angel Michael was supposed to take him to his house. On earth here, he was staying somewhere in Iyaganku, in a mighty mansion. So, they started going along the road.
At first, they saw this lovely house and he said to the Angel that that must be his house but the Angel said no, your house is still in front. They kept on going. He saw a lovely bungalow and he said maybe his house was a bungalow since he stayed in a duplex on earth, but the Angel told him no, that that was not the one. They left the tarred road and got to the un-tarred road and he asked the Angel again where he was taking him to.
The Angel told him they were still going to the place. Finally, they got to a house with a solid foundation. It was big but the building had not even got to the lintel level. The construction was still going on. The Angel told the brother then that this was his house, but the brother told him that it could not be. He said he was a rich man on earth. The Angel then told him that he did not send up enough money up here to complete his building. This was where they got to on the building I was just trying to tell also, how important it is to tithe ….
It would have brought forth maybe the stem, and then, the leaves, and then, a full blown tree which would begin to bear fruits. He would then go there to harvest. That is the way it happens in the Kingdom of God. A lot of people, they are expecting that , nairas at a goal and not until they get the , nairas cash, they will say that God has not answered their prayers. Sometime last year, I made up my mind that I would give a million nairas to God. I had never given a million nairas before.
I made up my mind that I was going to. Where do I get the money? I sold my car. I sold it for , nairas. So, I had , nairas to go. From where do I get it? I had no business with anybody expecting money. So, I began to call forth this , nairas. So, I was praying that way and I followed all the steps that I told you about.
One day, I got to the office and somebody came to me and he said he wanted to do a job. We facilitated it and the guy did his job. He came back and he said to me that the day I gave him that job, other people came to him and started giving him that job in various locations, so therefore, he said he had to come back to me to say thank you. I said it was all right. About two or three weeks later, he came to me and he said he was very, very happy and he said he had made so much money and he knew that I was the source because I had started it, so, he said that that day he was going to Kaduna and that he would be back the next day and that when he returned, he would come to see me.
I said it was okay. The day he came to see me, I was closing and I was driving out of the plant.
I said I could not wait and that if he wanted to see me, he would find my house. Uncle Femi is here, he can tell you about that. The man looked for my house the next morning and he came and said that what I had done for him was just too much and he said he did not know why but that he just had it in him to just give me some money.
He gave me , nairas! You might call forth , nairas and somebody would come and give you 10, nairas. If you are not sensitive and you are not careful, you might spend that 10, nairas maybe buying one shoe and what is left, you will go to Mr. And somebody is saying to you that you both agreed together the other day that God would give you , nairas, what has happened? And you would tell the person that God has not yet performed. He has started performing but you did not recognize it. And you know, once He begins to give you that money, because you have a reason for calling that money forth, you did not call it just because you wanted to feel cool that God answers prayers, no, but because you had a need.
Maybe there was a call in the house of God and you said you wanted to give a particular amount of money, so you needed the money to sow into that. And then, God gave you 10, nairas out of the , nairas and you whacked it. Maybe the next morning, someone else walked up to you with another 5, nairas and you whacked that one as well, it will stop coming. It will not come again because the purpose for which you called it forth, you are not using it for it. And God would say that: It is a principle. So, when you call forth money, it could come in parts and it could come all at once.
Recognize it and use it for the purpose for which you have called it forth for. That is why I came at the time I came and not because of any holy holy thing. I cannot be sick. That is why I came at the time I came. But I am not moved by those things. Those are lying vanities. It is not real. I do not know how your week was, I do not know how tired your body is, I do not know what the situation that you are faced with is or that you came here with, but I know something, It is only a name.
And I know that there is a name that is higher than that name. And that is the name of Jesus. And I also know, that God has used the foolish things of this world to confound the wise. You are going to shout at this time. You are going to shout. This is not my message for today but I cannot preach to a sleepy audience.
