All these books are short stories or novellas and many are free in the Kindle store. All the stories are written around the lives of real people which is such an awesome idea.
This was a really great story I think may people are like Stacy and Joe in one way or another and well, I could see why both characters were at this crossroads in their lives and how difficult it would be for Stacy to let someone in. But, she does at least open her eyes before she loses her chance at a fulfilling life with Just Joe.

Not sure I'll try another book from this author. May 19, Amy Jacobs rated it liked it Shelves: This was a sweet and tender read that was actually worth reading even though it was quite short. I would have loved a little more insight into the charity and the work they do for it. The characters were good and I actually liked them together. I think if this book was a full length book, then my rating would have been higher.

This was a nice story about a woman running a charity for feeding the hungry and at the same time running away from personal relationships. Stacy's biggest worry is funding for her charity. So she enters a dance contest to try and win money to tide the charity over the winter. Along comes a real estate developer named Joe who has decided he wants more out of life than work and money. He tries to win Stacy's heart but she does not want to let him in due to the issues she has with her father. The romance portion of the story was cute, but not developed well enough.
Instead we got a great story about Stacy working on the dance contest, the little "twist" at the end, and then some tension and everything is resolved. I'm not really sure that Stacy should just drop everything and trust Joe just because he volunteers at the gardens.

As things progress a serious misunderstanding between the two almost drives them apart, like all good romance stories though this one ends on a high note for Joe, Stacy and her beloved charity.

Joe is trying to get his life back together after a horrible event that left him empty inside. I enjoyed the push and pull between these two-how they worked together. It was an all around good read! I plan to make every moment count from now on.

The reason why I gave this 3 stars I really like Stacey's devotion to her organization. I also like what Stacey did for her organization.
