Infinity 3 by Patricia Eimer Infinity 3 by Patri In this thrilling conclusion, Queen Allie is ready to start a peaceful life and begin rebuilding her kingdom, but is pulled into battle and risks everything to save those she loves. The kingdom of Nerissette is finally at peace. After multiple battles, Queen Allie just might have the time to start building a relationship with the dragon next door, Winston, before her sixteenth birthday.

But unrest is forming at the borders and soon she realizes that it's not just the Fate Maker who wants to take her crown, but her aunt, Queen Bavasama. When Bavasama sends her troops over the border into Nerissette on a campaign of mass destruction, Allie has to decide whether or not she's willing to bring her battle-scarred country back to war.

She can't take the chance of letting more people die, or letting those she's lost disappear from memory. Queen Alicia Wilhemina Munroe the First, the Golden Rose of Nerissette is declaring war, all bets are off, and if she has to march into her aunt's palace and rip the crown from her head, that's just what she is going to do I could give you the rest, but where's the fun in actually reading the book??

By now you all know I dislike spoilers, so I'm not going to give them, but I will tell you this rates higher then five stars in my book!! I love this series unconditionally. It has instantly become a favorite and if I was to ever meet Andria, I would squeal like a boy band fan girl and beg for her autograph! The Chronicles of Nerissette will truly sweep you away into a world filled with fear, greed, devotion, love, magic and undying friendship! I knew Infinity would end on a happy note, but that didn't make it any less fun or interesting to read. This time the story picks up 10 months after the finale of Evanescent. Nerissette is once again rebuilding after a terrible battle, but this time Allie isn't so sweet or patient about the consequences. She is out for revenge and she's bloodthirsty! Unfortunately, the rebuilding and the peace treaties are for naught, because her evil aun I received an ARC through NetGalley. Unfortunately, the rebuilding and the peace treaties are for naught, because her evil aunt, Empress Bavasama, attacks with all of the force that she has.

Dragon fire and dryads with bows and arrows aren't going to be enough this time. I have just adored this series!

I don't think Infinity was the strongest of the series, but I still enjoyed it very much. Allie has shown a lot of growth over these three books. She's no longer that shy, unsure of herself, pushover that she was when she first got pulled into Nerissette. She does go through a rough patch at the beginning of the finale where she's nearly blinded by hatred, but luckily she has friends to remind her that that isn't who she is.

She doesn't need to stoop her aunt's level in order to win.

Allie and Winston are adorable, and he's her voice of reason, but they barely get any page time together! Although I suppose since they spend most of the book in battle, that wouldn't be possible Now for the reason that Infinity wasn't my favorite of the trilogy.

Chronicles of Nerissette Series in Order - Andria Buchanan - FictionDB

The plot is a bit repetitive, and is generally the same as the previous books but a bit darker. Characters who are gone, just won't stay gone, since no one wants to do the more permanent solution: Allie falls for a trap again, even though she's told it's probably a trap. People lie to her face and her instincts say not to trust them but for the sake of conflict, she does. She's just too willing to see the good in people that doesn't exist.

I still enjoyed it, since there's plenty of tension and action, but I would have liked some more variation. As it is though, Infinity was a great conclusion to a really fun series. Magical magic is magical and makes me smile, so I definitely would have been happy with more than the three short books that we're given.

The ending is very happy since good trumps evil, but I would have liked to have seen a bit more of what happened after evil was defeated. There were a few plot threads that were carried throughout all three books that, while not dropped, didn't feel totally complete to me. I think an epilogue could have taken care of that.

It was fast-paced and had me eager to find out how the whole story ended. Though I will admit that Allie's personality and how she behaved in the beginning half of the novel annoyed me. True, part of the story, and emotions were running high especially after everything that's happened, but kind of wanted to shake her and tell her to get over herself.

My favorite parts were the moments between Allie and Winston. I love their romance.

Just wish there was more of it! I also liked another heart to heart scene that Allie has with another character Read to find out with who Also, the ending is pretty good. Just wish there was more! Would love to find out what happens in the future. Overall, Infinity is a solid conclusion to what is a great magical fantasy series. Feb 17, Ruthsic rated it really liked it Shelves: In the third installment of the Chronicles of Nerisette, the war with Bathune ends in a peace treaty and her aunt Bavasama is visiting for the same.

Allie, however, has her doubts on whether her throne is really safe from her power-hungry aunt and is cold and distant to her. The kingdom is just exhaling a breath of relief after the treaty, when attacks start happening over again and she has to prepare for another war - to crush Bathune for once and for all. Allie is constantly struggling with being a stern ruler and a kind one and this final book really tests her strengths. She doesn't know how to use the Relics, is human in a world of magic and creatures, and has to bear the responsibility of an entire kingdom at just Not to mention, she is in constant worry about her mother who is trapped in The World That Is, on the other side of the mirror, a world inaccessible to her without the knowledge of the Relics.

The entire series has been such a great story and even the last one didn't disappoint. The writing was to the point, elaborate when necessary, and the pacing was good. The characters were defined well and it was interesting how each of them perceives fate. For Allie, it is nothing but superstition, for the dragons it is an enemy, for the people of Neris, it is a goddess - each have their own view of a divine power but there is peace mostly among the different races.

It also showed that there need not always be cruelty in a war, even for the those who seek retribution. I was awed by how the author subtly put these lessons into the storyline. The ending was great - mostly an HEA, but open-ended enough to leave things to our imagination. First, although each book in this series pretty much can also be read as a stand-alone, I strongly recommend to read the trilogy all the way through.

Not only for background information reasons, but it's fun to watch the main character, Allie, develop from a shy, out-of-place girl to an amazing, self-assured queen.
