Its an interesting premise but lack of real emotion, and too many oddities for me to rate higher than a three, OK read but not one to keep. An interesting idea but one that didn't hold me for long. ARC supplied for review purposes by Netgalley and Publishers Jan 09, Jessica rated it liked it. I got this book for free on my Kindle, and I have to say, for a free book it's really good.
I mean, it's actually a decent book, free or not. You can't always say that. Annie Crawford was forced by circumstance to sell a ghost town that had been in her family for generations, and she meets the developer and new owner, Luke Maxwell, there to look over his plans for the land. But something strange happens to the two of them while they are there, and next thing they know, the wake up in Why a I got this book for free on my Kindle, and I have to say, for a free book it's really good.
Why are they there? Are they ever going to get home? As Luke and Annie try to figure out what's happening to them, they of course fall in love.
It was an interesting story, and I liked seeing the ghost town come to life, and how life was compared to modern life. It was a nice mixture of modern and rustic. But what bothered me in the first half or so of the book was Annie. She was prideful and stubborn to the point of being stupid. I mean, if it walks like a duck, looks like a duck and quacks like a duck, then it's a duck! I understand her confusion, and not wanting to believe in time travel, but she acted like a moron for far too long for my tastes.
But it didn't last forever, and the story ended up being pretty good. Mar 23, Mary rated it it was amazing. I do not usually read time travel. This one is not your typical medieval time travel though. Nope, Annie and Luke travel back to the late 's to a small town in Idaho. It's small town now and then.

This story was extremely compelling. The time travel element works well and is directly correlated to the romance. The relationship between a woman struggling financially and a rich real estate developer could've felt contrived, but the author uses their time in the past to connect them believably. I definitely recommend this book to fans of historicals, romance, and time travel. You won't be disappointed! May 26, Angel rated it really liked it.

Could you keep me updated when it will become available for purchase again? You just posted a pic from your comic where Lexa is clearly shorter. She is small in every frame she is in, especially in comparison to EVERYONE and frankly the effect is rather "squat" or childlike and almost comical FYI, as someone who worked on the set in costumes, Alycia is two inches taller than Eliza and it's Eliza who wore heels for height, not the other way around. And no, not about to prove that for job reasons.
Lightning never strikes twice
Eliza's heels are visible in many shots. Thanks for the feedback! Tagged as feedback Anonymous.
