I liked the concept of the story, character development of the principals as well as the secondary players. I especially appreciated the concept of a slightly older woman early 40's with a history of an abusive ex finding love with younger men age not specified but assumed they were early 30's and sexual fulfillment.

I thought the relationship between the three principals could have benefitted from more depth and development. The sex was well developed and hot. It is my understanding that Table for Three was Ms. I would have liked a more detailed, and indepth ending. I liked the book enough that I then bought two more of Ms. I would rate this book a 3. If the improvements I indicated had existed, I would have rated the book a 4 to 4.

I hope to see more of Ms. I wanted to like Table for Three. Reading the blurb I thought it had many of the aspects I like in a menage. A woman who has found or is finding her strength. A decent villain to help bring them together. And it did have most of this and a wealth of potential. What it lacked was a decent rhythm.

Her "flow" so to speak. There was nothing wrong with the grammar, it was more the difference between watching actors recite their lines verbatim with little to no inflection, and forgetting you were watching actors and becoming engrossed in the play itself. I hope that made sense to those reading this. I've found that everyone's version of hot sex is different so I know better than to rely solely on reviews that proclaim the sex scenes to be hot.

Catch Her When She Falls [Sequel to Table for Three] (Siren Publishing Menage Amour)

That being said, the sex was fine. Did it cause my toes to curl up around my ears, no. But it was better than many I've read and believable. All of the above I could have excused and have in the past in other works by other authors, but what made this story a 1 instead of the 3 or 4 I thought it likely to get was the ending.

It didn't have one. There were three major issues that should have been resolved and just weren't. For those who don't like spoilers I'll just say, I can't recommend this book, though I enjoyed the premise and it had potential it left me discontented. The heroine's concern about entering into a polyamorous relationship? Addressed, and handled well. The issue with the heroine's inheritance? Likewise handled in an almost satisfactory manner. However the author deliberately emphasized the jealousy of one of the town's female citizens, the fear that the heroine had regarding her ex-husband finding her, and items that were stored in the attic of the heroine's inherited home that she repeatedly passed on investigating.

These three issues were touched on again and again throughout this story, and nothing came of them.

Romeo & Juliet Death Scene 1986

It was disappointing to say the least. Maddening, if we're being honest. It is my heartfelt wish that there is, or will soon be, better works to be found by this author because with no real proof to go on, I still feel there is some very real potential in her writing. And I'd like to see it become reality. This is the first book I have read which features a two men and one woman combination. I have yet to find a book which has two women and a man, but I am sure there are some about!

The plot was good but appeared to have an unfinished agenda, though I figured that the sequel would answer the missing link and of course it does.

I would have liked to find the first chapter of the next book in the back of the first so the reader knows the "miss Missy Martine write erotica and what you see is what you get!!! I would have liked to find the first chapter of the next book in the back of the first so the reader knows the "missing" part of the plot is coming.

Perhaps the sequel wasn't started at that time. The plot was strong, unlike many erotica storylines and the characters likeable. The age difference between Cass and the twins was just enough to cause doubts in the mind of the female protagonist. Cass's inner thoughts could have been brought out more, but this is a minor issue. The well-written sex scenes are very sparky! For a first novel of this genre, which I am sure is quite hard to write, it is an excellent read: May 10, Judith rated it really liked it.

See a Problem?

Three people, hurt and disillusioned by some very disappointing and wounding experiences, are drawn together. Cass is an older woman who was finally able to get out of a 23 year long abusive marriage and has now come to Oregon to claim her uncle's legacy to her. She resists their advances, largely because of the difference in their ages and her unwillingness to enter into any kind of relationship.

She is really fearf Three people, hurt and disillusioned by some very disappointing and wounding experiences, are drawn together. She is really fearful and has some understandable trust issues.

  • This is a warm and delightful love story that is at its center about renewal and redemption, reclaiming the best in one's heart and learning that not all people are abusive or selfish. Ms Martine has a very readable writing style which demonstrates her talent well as well as her knowledge of the writing task. This is just a really, really good read. Feb 14, Emily rated it really liked it Shelves: Cass Abernathy hasn't had much handed to her with a world of trouble with it, but when she finds out she is the niece to an Uncle who has passed away, she sees as this a chance to start new.

After a bitter and abusive marriage, Cass doesn't have any plans on getting involved with another man, let alone two but when twins Matt and David make it clear they want her, she has to make a decision if she is willing to trust again. This is actually a reread for me but for some reason my review disappeare Cass Abernathy hasn't had much handed to her with a world of trouble with it, but when she finds out she is the niece to an Uncle who has passed away, she sees as this a chance to start new.

This is actually a reread for me but for some reason my review disappeared so read again to write a more current review. I enjoyed this story a lot, I realize that there are a few things that make it a little to fast to soon, but I enjoy a full bodied older woman story and Matt adn David are doting lovers when it comes to Cass. • The guys met Cass and knew she was the one for them at first sight, I also though the relationship turned physical really fast considering Cass's past. But even with those issues I enjoyed this book. I loved that Cass wasn't a super skinny girl like normal. I liked how the guys pursued her with a vengeance and did their best to overcome her concerns.

I also loved how the guys used this relationshi I liked this book, but did have a couple issues with it. I also loved how the guys used this relationship with Cass to repair their relationship with each other. The mystery with her inheritance was blah and I am not sure why the author brought up the call with her ex-husband, it went no where. Overall this is a fun sexy read!

Mar 27, Obsessed rated it liked it. I liked this story, but I felt like it needed a little more "oomph. I kept waiting for the dilemma to be resolved but nothing happened. In the end, I felt like I was bidding my time until I finished the book. This book is an easy read, but it's almost just as easily forgotten. On a side note, during the sex scenes, one of the guys is always thinking something along the lines of "I'm not gonna last! This is a fantasy, guys! You better man up and work on your stamina!

Mar 20, Amy rated it it was ok Shelves: Short menage story between two twin brothers and the new older woman that has moved to their rural town in Oregon. Beginning of the story was slow but what was more frustrating was several parts, including one major part of the plot never wraps up. It's like the author just scratched it, end of story. Had a good feel for the characters but sex scenes felt repetitive and dull. Maybe the sequel will answer the unanswered questions. Jun 23, Mlleelizabeth rated it liked it.
