I could not believe I had not heard before from what was going on in this country before and in so recent times I loved the story on Bata, this should be studied in Business Schools worldwide.

The narrative quality was poor. Somewhat tongue in cheek look at the Czech Republic.

Covering paternalistic industrialists, entertainment icons, and some of the dark happenings of the Russian occupation. Good, but it's due back at the library and I'm not super compelled to finish it.     We are very fortunate that English is finally among them. I mentioned before that it is difficult to remember that Gottland is not a work of fiction. If the book reads like a novel, perhaps that is because we believe that novels can convey better than non-fiction the texture of the past.
