Look forward to looking into your web page repeatedly. This is my first visit to your blog! We are a team of volunteers and starting a new project in a community in the same niche. Your blog provided us useful information to work on. You have done a extraordinary job! Did you hire out a designer to create your theme? I love your blog.. Did you create this website yourself or did you hire someone to do it for you? I needs to spend some time learning more or understanding more.

Thanks for great info I was looking for this info for my mission. I truly appreciate people like you! I think the admin of this site is genuinely working hard for his web site, as here every stuff is quality based information. I savor, cause I discovered just what I used to be looking for. You have ended my 4 day long hunt! The residents in Mobile are very friendly and welcoming and a great downtown entertainment district. When I visit those area I have no idea where to go or what to do so. Mobile is a growing city and if you would look at crime statistics for the same size as Mobile you will find the crime rate percentage is gonna be about the same….

Not buying this survey. The places they listed as best also has high crime rates. I would invite you to visit these towns and then decide if your list is accurate. Fort Payne City Schools were one of the first schools with a Prometheum Board, if not the first, in the State and have a lot of excellent programs that other schools their size only dream of. It is also one of the most beautiful places in the State.

Funny that MANY other lists I have seen have it as one of the most beautiful places in the State and even one of the most beautiful and best places to live in the country. This is the good restaurant capital of Northeast Bama!

It’s here: the NEW Britannica Kids website!

This is a bunch of horse shit. And it is not a suburb of Mobile. Whoever did this needs to do their research. I was going to say the same thing. These want-a-be journalists drive thru Alabama and think they are experts on the state. Do you not like to provide links to other lists that may be more credible than yours? Also, do you ever think of the damage you may be doing to the towns on any of these lists that you put together as far as their ability to recruit new business or other things that would stimulate their economy.

It was rather disheartening to see my hometown, Eufaula, on this list. Please review your resources. The pic is taken from Google Earth, looking north in the south bound lane of South Randolph in front of Baker furniture across the street from First Baptist. Eufaula does starve for overall entertainment and unemployment is high but a much better place than this writer is familiar with.

10 Best Places to Visit in Alabama (with Photos & Map) - Touropia

Who are you making this list for? Talking down someones hometown is not a good idea. How about doing something worthwhile. No one is buying your propaganda. If you really want a true list, start it off with Birmingham. Why does people try to cover for Birmingham. Black on Black crime is through the roof. City is all but bankrupt.

Worse political leadership ever. Traffic is a nightmare. No one from the city should be allowed to drive. Next time you do a survey try actually getting it right. I think Birmingham has the highest crime rate in Alabama! I generally agree with the content. I like the ranking, but a little more discussion on the weighting of the statistics and the rationale for using those stats would have been interesting. Gadsden — is a city full of possibilities. But they have too few serious investments from outside sources.

Road and rail — Gadsden is in a perfect situation with highways and rail — and it is under utilized. Interstate 59 runs north and south with easy access to I 20 — east and west. There is a massive rail system in West Gadsden that was utilized when we made steel.

Changes in attitudes and altitudes. Believe it or not — folks want to have fun. A long time ago an investor planned on building a waterpark utilizing Noccalula Moutains changes in elevations. A mega Water Park would generate tons of taxable revenue and jobs. And what are the support groups for a large attractions — hotels — dinning — shopping — and oh you get the idea! I grew up there — and was visiting just yesterday. That seems to me the major thing holding them back. Johnson, it would serve you well to visit Eufaula, AL before judging it based soley on the criteria of which was chosen to defile it!

Eufaula, AL is one of the most historical and beautiful towns in America. I can assure, Eufaula offers much more positives than what your criteria offered. Matter-of-fact, you should visit. You just might be pleasantly surprised with the wealth of the good southern hospitality by which you would be greeted. It would seem, based on the criteria, you just might benefit from it. Shame on you and your criteria! Personally, I absolutely love Alabama! These small towns are why I love Alabama! You can keep your ,so called, progress of the bigger cities!

Sell your property, or whatever other excuse you may have, and go be happy! Hoover at 3 while Vestavia is 1? If you are trying to decide if a place is lousy or not, do not use this article as a guide. Possibly, if it were an article written for a 7th or 8th grade school assignment that term could be used, but not here. There are parts of the criteria crime rate, unemployment, and income that make perfect sense in determining the quality of life in a given community.

Another would be quality of education, but that is not part of their criteria. I was one of a few lucky Bexers selected for the full day Space Camp experience, and my first morning at TBEX I was off like a rocket to this dream day at camp. Our morning started with a briefing session about our day, then we had a tour of Space Camp before making our way to the simulators for training.

Everyone was assigned a role in the team for our mission to the Space Station, and I jumped up and volunteered was lucky enough to be picked as Mission Commander! As a real-life pilot, it was only fitting that I drive the Space Shuttle on our mission. At least that was my logic. After training for the mission, we had a tour of the museum, which was awesome to visit in its own right, walked through the rocket garden, and made our way to the famous NASA Spinny Thing. That is the nickname I gave the motion simulator made up of several rings to form a giant human gyroscope.

The next thing we did was lunch, which I was luckily able to stomach just minutes after flipping and spinning. After lunch, the group split up for our mission to the International Space Station. Mission Commander Rosenberg was up for the challenge, which took about an hour to complete. The sign below told us that it is astronaut Alan Bean's favorite rock. What makes it the favorite? I have no idea. But if it's his favorite, maybe it should be mine too!

A post shared by Eric Rosenberg ericrosenberg1 on May 6, at The landing was particularly cool. Normally the simulator is locked for visitors outside of the campers who have had several days of training. As a private pilot, the Space Camp mission expert unlocked the controls and put the success of the mission in my hands. On the first attempt, I landed gently in a swamp in the Everglades, but we were running a little early so I got a second try. This time, I landed less than 10 feet from the center line of the runway in Florida.

I held my chin up a little too high the rest of the day.

Space Camp is also home to a military style camp called Aviation Challenge, which features F flight simulators, zip lines, and survival training. Between Space Camp and Aviation Challenge, there are wonderful camps for kids, adults, and families.

Even if you are not lucky enough to head to a full Space Camp experience, any family or grown-ups would enjoy a visit to the Space and Rocket Center to see the original Saturn V rocket, Space Shuttle, a moon rock maybe my favorite rock , explore the museum, and the rest of what the public experience has to offer. The next day, I went on two local pre-BEX trips. One of them was back to space at the Marshall Space Flight Center.

I met the man in charge of the entire NASA site, saw some very interesting speakers on topics ranging from engineering to plans for a mission to Mars. Everything from bomb testing to rocket testing takes place at the site. The blast from the five engines was so powerful it blew out half of the windows in town. Redstone is a secure facility and we had to be US citizens and show ID to enter.

Because I was with a group of travel bloggers, we went on the tour normally reserved for US Senators and House Representatives! We broke up into smaller groups and each group saw a different facility. I was lucky enough to see some giant robots and 3D printers used to fabricate space ship parts and the payload system that will go up on the next Space Launch System SLS launch delivering satellites and a Japanese rover that will fly on to the moon!

Our next stop was the facility where people here on Earth work with astronauts and cosmonauts to operate various experiments and tests at the ISS. We looked through a viewing window into the room where they were actively monitoring the ISS, including people working on setups with nine or twelve monitors and cool names like CAPCOM. Sadly this facility is typically closed to the public.

At the end of our tour, we drove around and visited launch test sites including one on the national historic registry and the massive one used for the largest rocket tests. If you get a chance to visit Huntsville and go on the tour, I highly recommend it. TBEX is a conference for travel bloggers and media, including some fun social media, podcasting, and blogging personalities.

I met some very cool people along the way. If you are interested in travel blogging, put TBEX on your to-do list.

Guidebooks in the look up, america! series...

At TBEX I was able to network with other bloggers ranging from brand new, pre-launch bloggers getting ready to start and others who have been in the industry for decades. We met with sponsors from around the world looking to lure in writers to cover in their destinations. Other exhibitors were focused on the business side of blogging. One of my favorites was the Centers for Disease Control, where I met lovely people for an in-depth conversation about Zika virus.

Sorry South America, you will have to wait for another year. Enjoyed a great walking tour of historic Huntsville this morning. This mansion was built in A post shared by Eric Rosenberg ericrosenberg1 on May 4, at 2:
