After Studying the Course of Miracles for over a decade, it is so reassuring to find direct quotes from the "Course" in these works although they were written before the course was even written let alone published. It is with love and great humility that I find myself in the treasure of Goldsmith needing no other source to guide my journey of love and service now. Patiently study this work to free your mind from the bondage of scarcity and limitation. Joel is truly one of my beloved teachers I wish I had the privilege to meet and thank personally.
Goldsmith wrote "The Contemplative Life" back in the early nineteen-sixties but it is as timely if not more timely for readers today. A sensible well thought out approach which address problems experienced by many who are disallusioned or confused from their experiences with organized religions and even "cult cures", "The Contmplative Life" provides balm for what spiritually ails at least some part of humanity.

A well worthwhile read and very accessible thanks to the efficiency of the folks at Amazon. I remember thirty years ago watching Joseph Campbell on tv interviewed by Bill Moyers. Joe said that at some period in Christianity a spiritual director would give to his novice a short spiritual phrase or sentence to repeat throughout the day and night. Often this would be a saying direct from jesus.
