I highly recommend this story to those fighting any type of life situation. So many moments of inspiration in a time of desperation. Did you know that Sickle Cell Disease: Allen Jones, a Sickle Cell Disease advocate, has written a book that is well worth reading. In this book she not only shares how this disease has affected her own personal life and how she had to learn to cope with it in all areas of life, but having done a great deal of research she has included valuable information with disturbing statistics.

It turns out to be an autobiography book for the writer. It describes her sufferings and struggles living in a torn apart family in a bad neighborhood and her struggles to survive in life. Part of her struggle was having Sickle Disease.

I share big parts of her concerns having sickle cell my self but at the same time I dislike the way she conducted her resentment for something she had nothing to do with having in the first place. It is totally legit for a person to agonize and suffer from such a nasty disease but more supportive and encouraging talks are needed for those patients. Not only sharing agony and resentment. SCD is not a joke! Sometimes I get shocked when people don't know what exactly is SCD, and sometimes they have many misunderstandings and false concepts, this ignorance should be wiped away as soon as possible because it just makes things worse for all the people who are fighting it on a daily basis. Please read this book, you would def I wish this book would become popular among as many people as possible.
