Darcy and his brother Sterling come to Brac Village to start a new life Darcy who is a worrier, a pessimist, and overanalyzes everything knows that something feels off about the town. They get jobs at the diner and Cody calls the Lakeland's to give them a place to live. Raven who is a vampire and Dudley's oldest brother takes one look at Darcy and knows that the man is his mate and he can't believe it he has never been with a man and he was raised by a man who thought that vampires were better than everyone else Magnum put his sons down and disowned them when they wouldn't kill Sloane.
Raven tries to leave Darcy alone but it proves to tempting to him. When Sterling is attacked Darcy goes to help him and he is attacked we also find out who Riley's mate is and I can't wait to read about those two. The sex between these two was hot both of them being virgins and all. When wolves attack the Lakelands Raven will do anything to save his mate but he forgets to tell Darcy about other shifters and while at the Den during an attack Darcy goes off with some of the mates to save his brother. When decides to leave Sterling doesn't want to go he does want to leave his bear and although Darcy doesn't want to leave Raven he thinks that he can't handle what's going on in the town.
I liked that Darcy turned down Magnum when he offered him money to leave his son. This was a really good book with no errors in grammar or spelling. I am looking forward to reading the next book. This book in the Brac Pack series was full of excitement and many newcomers. Wonderful new sequel, I was looking forward to D's story and I'm not disappointed. However, I would have loved this story to be a little bit longer, because too many things were happening at once and it felt rushed. I understand this author maybe is writing about 10 books at once to keep us all happy, even though, it would've been nice if this story have a few more pages to see more the issue about D's brothers and their father.
Apart from that, I loved it. As always, I'm looking forward for anythi Wonderful new sequel, I was looking forward to D's story and I'm not disappointed. As always, I'm looking forward for anything this author release next. Nov 08, Candice rated it liked it Shelves: Sloane really grew on me.
I liked his actions and his reasons on why he did or didn't do something. First read I love D: Sloane had to grow on me, but D on caffeine was great.

We first met these two in book 22 when Tater was walking home when he meets Dudley they meet a wolf who turns out to be Sloane Brac who is Maverick's cousin. Dudley grew up being told that shifters would kill him and eat him by his father who looks down on everyone and he is a vampire so when he finds out that Sloane is a vampire he panics and calls his brothers to come take care of it he puts a hit out on his mates.
Sloane can't believe that his mate This was book 26 in the "Brac pack" series. Sloane can't believe that his mate would want him dead he decides it is time for him to move on so he buys a house to get away from the den and all the mated couples. After talking to Pa, Dudley realizes that not all shifters are bad and that it is ok to have one as a mate he tries to get his mate to talk to him in the last book he chained himself to Sloane's bed.
After being on a depression kick of not eating he goes for a walk in the woods were he runs into Sloane and they talk when he goes into the house he gets a call form his father and he goes to warn Sloane that his father is coming to kill him.
Dudley who is accident prone including while trying to bake a cake he almost burns the house down he also speaks before thinking and although these two have sex Sloane doesn't claim him he knows his mate is holding back he wants to get to know the real Dudley. This was a good read although I didn't like the rat problem they had. This book was well written with no errors in grammar or spelling.
I am looking forward to reading the next book in this series. Apr 29, Jackie Mckenzie rated it liked it. I thought this was a good read. I have read the entire series and I find this is pretty much par for the course for the series. It is funny in some parts, and then touching in others. I love the fact that Ms Hagen is continuing to introduce new characters along the way. These are easy, quick feel good reads for me, but they are very addictive.
His Imperfect Mate (Brac Pack #26) by Lynn Hagen
The spinoff series Zeus' Pack and Christian's Coven are also very entertaining. I would recommend these books highly. Dudley and Sloane have been doing t I thought this was a good read. Dudley and Sloane have been doing this push-pull for a few books now in the series.

The many questions I had about why Dudley would reject his mate were more than answered and I also got to see another side to Dudley. Sloane was understandably holding Dudley at arms length at the beginning. Once our two characters started talking, everything got worked out.

It was also nice to see Dudley find his spine near the end of the book. I do like how these books get the story line all wrapped up at the end, but then BAM look at this new wrinkle Very smart, and always keeps me coming back for more. Feb 01, Serena Yates rated it liked it Shelves: Back to the pairing of wolves in this volume - and we finally get Sloane's story as well as Dudley's. Dudley is one accident-prone vampire who was on the run from his father and carried more prejudice against shifters than is healthy. After having seen not all shifters are monsters, he has revised his stance and wants nothing more than for his mate to claim him.
Sloane has been through the wringer - first his mate outright rejected him, now Dudley is trying to chase him down. I can't blame Sloane Back to the pairing of wolves in this volume - and we finally get Sloane's story as well as Dudley's. I can't blame Sloane for being a bit hesitant, especially since Dudley has so many self-image issues. Sloane wisely focuses on getting rid of them first. This is another light, fun read, with a double dose of humor.
Lots of angst, jokes about rats as pets, and hot loving give it the typical 'Brac Pack' feeling of the recent books. I look forward to the next one!
