The sense of dread was established in the first pages and only continued to build throughout. I was immersed in the story and turned each page with ever growing anxiety. The Spell Binder not only kept my interest it kept my heart furiously pumping as the characters found themselves facing test after test that seriously challenged their ability to persevere.
I absolutely loved Imago Chronicles Book Six: Suzuki's attention to detail within the development of the fantasy world of Imago has led to a rich canvas upon which her characters are set. This leads to a complex interplay between the characters and the environment of this sometimes hostile world that only adds to the tension of the storyline. This is my favorite book thus far in the Imago Chronicles. Starflower Tales of Goldstone Wood Book 4. The Doom of Kings. The Four Dragon Lords of Oleskia: The Prince of Shadow. For Canadian authors who never knew about or never bothered to register their books with the federal government's Public Lending Rights Commission, you might want to take the time to do so. Lorna was pleased to receive an unexpected, but nice cheque from this government agency to compensate her for patrons of libraries borrowing the Imago books. Unfortunately, she was only compensated for the first five titles because she didn't register Imago Prophecy and Legacy last year. So even though these books showed up on the database, they didn't qualify.
