Dec 18, Aestas Book Blog rated it really liked it Shelves: Guys, this book was awesome!! A friend of mine actually recommended it to me and after reading this section of the blurb, I knew this was one I had to check out He ran a tattoo parlor with his four brothers which was where he was working in the opening scene.

And then a girl walked in asking for a very specific tattoo and he felt drawn to her in a way he'd never once felt before But I see pain. I see things she probably wouldn't want anyone to see. But then, about one minute into their interaction, this girl punched him in the face and walked out the door!!!! With that scene, I was hooked me! The opening chapter alone had made me smile, surprised me, and intrigued me to want to know more about the characters.

Logan wasn't able to stop thinking about her and finally tracked her down to the last place on earth he thought to find her -- homeless and playing music on the streets to make enough money to get by. I wish I'd given her mine. I can't help it. I need to see where she's going, or I won't be able to find her again. Not to mention that her being alone in the night in the city scares the shit out of me.

While she was grateful for the place to stay, she was not the kind of girl to just accept charity and her past had taught her not to trust anyone so she kept a lot back from Logan and felt unable to trust him with her secrets. But luckily, he understood and was falling for her hard enough to make her worth the wait The writing was so addictive!!

Now, given that Logan lived with his four brothers, there was a helluva lot of testosterone and general male awesome going around. Their parents weren't in their lives, so they'd developed a very tight-knit bond -- they always had each other's backs and each one of them would have been willing to give up anything for the other. I was in Alpha male heaven!! Plus, they were downright hilarious: D "I go get another beer, and Paul glares at me like the time I let the toilet lid fall on his dick when he was seven and I was four.

Logan was just a dream. What an absolute sweetheart of a guy!!! He tugged my heart strings and had me fanning myself over and over and over again! He was the kind of guy that is impossible not to fall for. There's something about the tattooed ex-manwhore who falls for this one special girl that makes me swoon. And Logan just had the biggest heart and had a very distinctive, memorable quality to him. And the heroine was also totally awesome as well -- what a badass chick!! It was so nice to see a female character who was able to defend herself, didn't blink once about punching a guy twice her size in the nose and just who didn't take any shit from anyone.

But she was also incredibly kind, loving, and caring and over the course of this story proved how she was willing to sacrifice anything for the people she loved. It was so cute and endearing watching Logan and Kit get to know each other and I especially loved the way sign language was incorporated into the story. I also really appreciated that he didn't let anything stupid get between them and was willing to be patient while he waited for her to learn to trust him. But I think it's the same as being my friend, but I get to make you come. The way the author described all the little details, actions and thoughts brought the story to life so vividly in my mind.

I laughed with them, swooned and even cried! It was definitely one of the highlights of the book for me. The emotions hit me strongly and brought an added depth to the overall story, really rounding everything out. Overall, I'd say this was a sweet, well written, wonderful story that just drew me right in and kept me connected. It had great characters and plenty of steam and fun, but was also balanced out by a lot of heartfelt emotion. It was a full length novel, but also a quick, easy read. I loved it the whole way through and would totally recommend you check it out!!

Luckily, that book has already been released, and also, even if you don't have time to read both books immediately, there is a bonus "first chapter" from the second book at the end of this one that will answer the one major question that you were left with so really, I'd call it a very "safe-to-start" book: Even though in the blurbs, the heroine's name is different, they are the same girl. She just doesn't tell him her real name til the end of the first one even though the reader knows it.

I'm the guy they don't have to talk to. I'm the guy they don't have to pretend with, because I wouldn't know what they're saying regardless. What a perfect imperfect guy!! And 4 more orphaned brothers Yessss I loved this story! I just wish it was a little longer because I was sensing some epic phenomenalness and then I turned the page and No one really talks to me since I can't hear.

This is by her own conscious choice. I personally thought she rocked. Even though she came from a life of privilege she gave all of that up to be true to herself. To follow her dreams. When you find out her personal secret If you're anything like me, you will soar to the sky to get this girl her happily ever after!!! When their worlds collided It was amazing chemistry And the way they fell in love was perfect.

I know she's going to break my fucking heart. Because I've never wanted anything with anyone the way I want something I can't even define with her. Emily and Logan form a connection early on and the chemistry between them is quite believable, but what I really loved is the relationship she forms with all his brothers and that the brothers have with each other. We could have used more on what brought them to the place they were at, but there was enough information for the reader to piece together their past.

Brian from Rock Me is one of my all-time favorite pierced, tattooed heroes, but Logan gives him a run for the money. He will satiate readers who are thirsting for the inked, pierced in all the right places!! I know some readers were not happy with the ending, but I felt it was fitting and satisfying. I can walk away from this book feeling content or choose to continue this series or not. The author just needs to propel them forward, not inject anymore drama into their lives, and leave the drama and angst for another brother…hopefully Paul.

If she does that, then this series will set itself apart from the cliffhanger trilogies, or quadlogies…pentlogies Despite a few issues; some moments in the book were not quite believable and maybe a little far-fetched, some eye-rolling on my part, but then again we are talking New Adult; I was still captivated from beginning to end.

It was sweet, sexy, steamy, and fun. I enjoyed the brothers and the family element; it rounded out the book nicely, the author did a great job on this aspect. Proving Pauls Promise The Reed Brothers Series Book 5 Pdf Book

It was a bit sexy too but with a name like Tall, Tatted and Tempting I thought it was going to be all kinds of smutty. There are two versions a sexy and a sexy-lite. I of course read the sexy version. The story started a little something like this He hasn't spoken since he was 13 years old. He lives with his three brothers including one with cancer, Matt after their parents died. He works with his family at their tattoo parlor. Emily is surviving--not living--on the streets. She plays guitar and sings in the subway to try to get by.

She's on the run, by choice. She doesn't have a home. She meets Logan while trying to get a tattoo. He stares at her boobs, she punches him in the face. He later finds her in the subway singing and so their story begins. Logan and Emily are attracted to each other. Emily is hesitant to open up to Matt because of who her family is. Logan refuses to give himself to Emily until she can trust him completely. When Matt's cancer takes a turn for the worse, Emily selflessly gives up her life on the run and returns to the only place she has called home.

No really, that's how it ended. What's going to happen to Emily and Logan??? But then I read the first chapter of the next book And now I feel much better!!! View all 13 comments. I loved how domestic most of the scenes were, brushing teeth, showering, cleaning, eating, just like normal everyday life. The Reed family was so supportive and I appreciated how the author didn't shy away from showing monetary struggles and stuff. And Paul's daughter was the cutest, especially how she was learning sign language for her uncle. Everything was very instant, not saying exactly insta-love, but the protectiveness and jealousy and just confidence between each other were too quick to develop for my taste.

The fact he basically started talking to her instead of his own brother was just weird for me. I will say it was a bit tone down and not as annoying but still not something I am a fan of. Quick discussion of the ending: Also, the first dialogue of the mom was so weird for me. I can totally understand why I gave it 5 stars the first time I read it. It was winter vacation I was bored and this was free on kindle. One of the first new adult romances I read in English and I totally loved it. But it certainly delivers in the entertainment factor. I recommend this if you are starting with the New Adult genre and if you are on vacations and just want something quick but the grips you.

Losing their mother at a young age and having their father walk out, the Reed Brothers had to take care of each other. Kit is running from something. But that is the life she has now. There is this instant spark with these two, not instant-love, but a connection that Logan feels instantly. I loved Logan and his need to protect Kit. I loved that he spoke for her. That she was what set him free and how easily he shifted to keep it. No worries if you found yourself reading these out of order, although the couplings are a given, most of the twists are kept out of the other stories — allowing them to be enjoyed as standalones. Dec 21, AJ rated it really liked it Shelves: Entertaining and meaningful right from the start, I was instantly addicted and I absolutely loved it!

When Logan realises that she is all alone with nowhere to go he offers her a place to stay for the night in the home he shares with his four brothers. From there, a tentative friendship develops between the two of them, which quickly grows into something more as they start to fall for each other.

What Logan and Kit find together is so meaningful to the both of them — they accept each other without question, and their openness and honesty about what they are feeling is gorgeous.

The Reed Brothers Series by Tammy Falkner

The two of them together absolutely melted me. She is incredibly guarded, and hides a big secret. Instead she keeps a part of herself from him, but gives him what she can, and hopes that it will be enough. Having never been in love before, he is knocked on his ass by Kit, and his devotion to her and confidence that they belong together is gorgeous. I love the Reed boys. They rib and tease, but they are fiercely protective of each other and the love that they have for each other is obvious in all that they do.

And the way they include Kit into their family is magic. I want to be adopted by them! But when the unthinkable happens, Emily is faced with a heartbreaking decision that could destroy the happiness that she has found. But is it worth the cost? I wasn't too sure what to expect when I picked this one up, but it turned out to be one of those reads that I instantly loved, and I LOVE when that happens! And that big dramatic ending not a cliffy exactly, but not somewhere I was expecting the book to finish had my heart in my throat, and me reaching straight for the next book of the series.

I loved it — 4. View all 19 comments.

Tall, Tatted and Tempting

Jul 11, Goddess Of Blah rated it it was amazing. The title and cover of this book does not do it justice. It's not a fluffy chick lit read as the cover and title might suggest. You're drawn to all the characters and you're really rooting for the Reed family 5 brothers to make it. Practic YouTube Book Trailer: Practically orphans - they're NOT despondent and melancholy - in fact this book doesn't have any self pitying moments.

It's about survival and making the best out of life. Only survivors building Dreams The author weaves into the story allowing her readers to engage with the characters. We're invited to understand our protagonist rather than put up with one dimensional characters. For example, how can you not be moved when you learn that a young boy - after becoming deaf at age 13 due to a fever - stops talking due to kids bully him in the playground - accusing him of sounding like a frog. No crying pity-me-i'm-so-sad recollections. A deaf hero, a severely dyslexic heroine and a brother fighting cancer.

The author manages to highlight these issues and manifest wholesome emotions without making you think "oh god not a sob story" - instead you're really hoping that these kids make it. Achieve their goals - become a success. You're invested in their happiness. I also like that fact that Kit, despite what her parents put her though - loves her parents - that shows she's a genuinely kind and loving person - she NEVER comes across as a brat. Life can throw many challenges - and reading this book - it really was uplifting to see how protective and strong 5 boys can be for each-other.

And the manner in which their brotherly love was conveyed was beautiful - the nuances skilfully woven into the story to manifest love without melodrama. Witnessing the family interactions and Kit's burgeoning relationship with them was profoundly gratifying. She's hoping to have a tat and brings with her a drawing that she designed. He gets frisky with her and she punches him in the nose she's learnt to be tough and storms out leaving behind that design by accident. Logan is intrigued by the design he's an artist and pursues her.

It's as they become acquainted that the story develops. Logan being deaf and Kit being unable to read properly makes communicating extremely difficult. The challenges they face poverty, secrets, building trust, etc all come into play in a riveting story that manifests the struggles, sacrifices and love a family endures. He's intelligent, artistic, funny and kind. Additionally, he's had to make huge sacrifices for his family just as they have had to make sacrifices for him. He's the middle brother 2 older and 2 younger. After his mother's death, plus due to his disability and other hardships he finds it difficult to become close to people , particularly women.

Generally I loath playboy characters snore , BUT as we get to understand Logan and his background, we can see the depth he possess and admire him for his resilience. She's had to put up with many ignorant people not understanding her disability and assuming she's stupid. She doesn't want pity and she's struggling to become independent. She's not the spoiled, self-absorbed teenage angst-y melodramatic type but a tough cookie who works hard. She really cares for Logan and his brothers and it's enjoyable reading their interactions.

It is safe to say that I have a new band of brothers that I am head over heals for. They a four wonderful boys who have made a life for themselves considering the shit hand life has dealt them. They each have their own battles they are fighting yet they all do it with a smile on their faces. Family really is number one to them and I think that is why I have taken such a strong like for these men. Because I too hold the same values. Kit aka Emily walks into a tattoo parlour and walks out with a bruised fist and tattoo-less.

She punches Logan in the first scene of this book and from then it had me. Hook line and sinker. This book was full of swooning over Logan and the amazing man that he is. Kit is hiding a lot from him, scared that who she is running from will find her but Logan is patient, loving and incredibly supportive of her. But you might one day. It creates a different feel to the love story but works so incredibly well. It gives their love story an edge and ultimately makes their journey a lot deeper and their connection stronger. There is honestly not one character in this book that you will not love.

This series will follow each one of the Reed Brothers so I am really looking so forward to getting to know these boys as I continue on in the series. This book was very well written, really easy to read and follow. It got really emotional towards the end that caught me a little off guard.
