The bio on my edition reads: Her hobby is driving fast cars, of which she has five, and in she was involved in a bad road accident. Between and she wrote twenty novels. Those Without Shadows oscillates around a group of mostly young Parisians who oscillate between love affairs with each other.

In the same way their personalities meld together to illustrate a similar despondency and emptiness, an almost pointlessness to their love affairs and greater, their lives. They sat on a bench in the rain, which never ceased. Lists with This Book. This book is not yet featured on Listopia. It is brief and focuses on the lives of a group of Parisians.

It is well written and stylish and has a certain insightfulness about it; even if at times it seems a little slight and self-indulgent. It follows a group of people, mostly young some married, some not over about a year. They fall in and out of love with each other, betray each other and lie to each other.
