Juicing kale is perfect because you can sneak it into almost anything giving you all those vitamins and nutrients for your body to absorb in its raw state! With that said, I wanted to share our favorite recipe that is perfect for beginners! Chris started off making this drink daily, but then slowly started adding in more green veggies once he adjusted to drinking that much juice. Fruits are good for you of course, but you really have to watch how many you put into your drinks because all that sugar can add up working against weight loss.

Fruits and most veggies are 0 points, but since juicing takes out the fiber, etc, it makes the juices have point values of more than zero. Alicia makes a good point. Juicing in a juicer does remove the fiber thus making fruit juice alone, so Alicia is correct. Thanks for mentioning that! I typically either maintain my weight or gain a little drinking juice because I add it to three full meals, but I can skip the multivitamin so it works for me! Especially since it also makes me feel better. I am a juicer myself and was VERY skeptical when I started but I swear I have been able to keep from getting sick by drinking a few fresh juices a week.

Juicing or blending in something like a Vitamix is a great way to ensure you access all the nutrients and enzymes.
I also try to have an equal volume of water to drink through the day. I actually have both a blendtec like a vitamix and a breville juicer. It really adds up very quickly. So is he having juice for breakfast and dinner, then just lunch consists of foods?

He stay pretty full? Any snacks with that? He does a juice for breakfast about 16 oz and one for dinner. For lunch he eats anything from grilled chicken and veggies to turkey chili haha aka whatever I made for him to bring and brings snacks like almonds, veggies or protein bars. I tried this recipe and it was lovely. I found that the Kale I used a whole bag made very little juice and most of it ended up in the pulp bin. Is that normal with Kale. Did you use a bag of already chopped kale or whole kale with the stems? We found that we got barely any juice when using the bag of chopped — not sure why but we tend to get a ton of juice when using the stem and all!

One piece of advice though, do some research on the different types of juicers out there and the pros and cons of each before you purchase. I was wondering if I should stop having the juice during the challenge or if you recommend having your green juice option? Also what exercise do you recommend during the 22 day plan. For the price, I thought it was a great way for me to try juicing without having to spend a ton of money.
