Feb 28, Thanks for making this discussion, Kaje. Here are a few that I know of: Empress of the World by Sara Ryan and its sequel: The Rules for Hearts The Divide: Morning Rising by Samantha Boyette and its sequel: I also enjoyed the Sara Ryan books, especially Empress. Nicola felt real to me. Thanks for the suggestions. Mar 28, Jun 30, Added some to the shelves: Will add more with time.

Nov 21, Some newer stuff no one else mentioned I saw you put them on our shelves too - Thank you! There are a lot of books missing from your shelves, so I'll add more later. It's an awesome resource. We do want it to become a good resource list, so members should also edit to add books to additional tag shelves since some are entered just off the blurb.

Nov 22, Good question - maybe a secondary character?

Born Wicked " Yeah, I've read the first and second book. Not the MC, but an important character who has a ton to do with the story. I can't say who it is without it being a huge spoiler for the first book, but trust me, the lesbian character is important. The MC's mom is married to another woman and they are really major characters in the story. There's a ton of queer content in this one, including two other male main characters.

See a Problem?

Some more newer stuff no one mentioned Born Wicked " Yeah, I've read the first and second book Paranormal is like modern witches and vampires, right? I can only think of paranormal with gay guys. Malinda Lo's got main lesbians, but she probably counts more as sci-fi. Adaptation and Inheritance are good though. Nov 23, What exactly do you want from a YA lesbian paranormal??

  • Fred The Reds Dottir (The Great Brummie Russian Novel)!
  • ?
  • The Bible Incorporated.

A dark tale, or funny, or exciting? Tell us what strikes your fancy Okay, cos this confuses me So vampires are awesome - and paranormal - now i would place with that shifters, witches, wizards I think the difference is in the framing setting. If the frame is basically modern day earth or a recognizable earth historical perhaps, without much alteration and the action happens against that backdrop it's either paranormal if there are non-human creatures as MCs or urban fantasy if the MCs are all human.

If the setting is Victorian-ish with elements of a steam-powered technology prominent, and a darker feel, that's steampunk. If it's a whole new world, or an earth that never was close to that, then it's fantasy. If there's no magic, just an altered history, then it's alternate-history.

After the Storm : Book 1 of Kit and Shara

Nov 25, That being said, I remember some LGBT themes in the book but can't remember much of it since I read it when it first came out Spoiler alert for the first book The MC walks in on the two lesbian characters kissing. So it's established that they're lesbian in the first book but it gets more developed in the second. Nov 26, Not the MC, but some secondary characters. Dec 01, Another paranormal is Hollow Pike by James Dawson, with a teen lesbian couple.

Dec 03, This is a post-apocalyptic fantasy She talks a lot about the crush she had on another girl before the disaster that destroyed the world. Then later on in the book, she falls in love with a character who is FTM. There is also a gay male teen couple in the story. Lots of LGBT themes!

  7. I'm surprised I haven't seen this one on more queer book lists. Thanks for the link: Just came across this one Dec 04, Another one I just found Tides by Betsy Cornwell The story is mostly about the MC and his sister, but their grandmother is a lesbian in love with a selkie. Yes, fantasy with lesbian and non lesbian selkies! Dec 12, Dunno how many people read short stories, but this has a ton of lesbian characters! Don't forget my book Jade.

Who, if anyone, will they find? No one knows and it is with some trepidation that they start their journey down the coast. I look forward to future books to find out exactly what Kit and the rest of the group will face. Is there anything or anyone left to find?
