I focused this week on writing the sequel to "A Song for Eventide". I am getting very close to finishing my first draft. Since I don't have a stand alone story to put up this week, I am posting a chapter from Dirge. This scene is from the perspective of one of the Mountain Wolves, whose kind made a devastating appearance in Song.

I recommend it if you have not. It is at once aggravating and invigorating. You, of course, have to take your audience into considerat. Even the non-human characters are relatable and accessible to the reader, without seeming to be in any way human-ized. This is a quick read, hard to put down, and generally enjoyable. Well worth the time and money. Although I originally read this on Kindle, I fully intend to purchase a physical copy soon, to support the author, but also to add to my bookshelf for the future.

Can't wait for the second book of the Lifestream Trilogy. This is a fantastic book. It paints a vivid image of the World in which it occurs. This has to be one of the most imaginative and creative stories I've ever read. I got sucked right into the world he created and couldn't wait to see how the story progressed. In terms of novels of this genre, this is one of the best thought out I have ever come across.

    4. He created characters you can relate to and are still fascinated by. I am at a loss of how I found myself relating to a "Goat Man" but he pulled it off beautifully. This was the first in the trilogy, and I am anxiously awaiting the next two. I enjoyed all the different characters and how they interact with each other. The author's imagination to create such characters is amazing. Can't wait for the second book in the trilogy. I thoroughly enjoyed reading Mr. The real strength of the book is in it's characters, both in the creative and exciting new races and in the depth and complexity of their personalities.

    My only complaint is that I now have to wait for the next installment in this thrilling series. Lehman, give us another book already! Lehman is a fine story teller. His use of language is rich. I was pulled into his story and his creative cast of characters and thoroughly enjoyed being in there with them.

    I heartily recommend this book to anyone who seeks fine writing! With stacks of books around my house, just waiting for me to read, when I got this one, it went to the bottom of the stack to wait it's turn in the line up. It's not my usual book these days, I tend to be drawn mostly to non-fiction, but somehow, this book called to me one day.

    I pulled it from the bottom of the stack and it's been a page turner ever since. With a full plate and busy life, reading time is sacred and all too short. I choose my books carefully. This one has me giddy like a kid every time I get the chance to pick it up. Imaginative, exciting, written with such skill that I am not only reading this story, I'm in it! See all 14 reviews.
