Of all the Miniature Blister Packs currently available for Flint and Feather , below is a picture of my favorite. These are Iroquois Haudenosaunee Warriors in wooden armor. I think the style of the armor is pretty cool and interesting to look at. Iroquoian Great Warriors in Wooden Armour. Of course, the armor would be of no use against the fire-arms brought over by Europeans, but this is a game set before contact. Now, this starter set has the Beta rules in it.

The full blown book is not out yet, but check out the contents!!! Check out those contents!!! This has been on my wish list for a while.

Flint and Feather Trail - 8 Reviews

The rule book is not yet out, but it sounds like the guys at Crucible Crush are expecting it by August 1st. Hopefully this means that they will even have copies for sale at GenCon where they will be sharing a booth with Pulp Figures and Crocodile Games. The book itself is pages long. Later, they plan to release an expansion to the game that takes place after contact with Europeans giving rules and stats for English, French and Dutch colonists.

If you are interested in seeing these miniatures or this game at your local retailer, be sure to talk to them. Crucible Crush is now looking for retail support and would love to have your local stores selling their products.

Just tell your favorite store to be in touch with Crucible Crush to see if they can work something out. To end, I want to totally switch gears to something completely different, yet related. The guys at Crucible Crush let me know that they are working on something new that would be best described as a Weird War Vietnam skirmish game called Black Sun.

Some of the miniatures for the game are already released.

I am certainly interested in seeing how this game develops! We have already run the successful Star Crush Miniatures Kickstarter which brought our first project to life. The Flint and Feather project has been a more extensive and time consuming process. These rules have been playtested at conventions throughout the USA and in Canada over the past year. Meanwhile Bob Murch continued sculpting the figures, adding more to the project.

As a company, Crucible Crush Productions, and each of our partners have personally invested money and effort into this project. The figures are ready to go, sculpted and mastered. We will be producing the production molds in May and production will begin in June. It is our goal to have these miniatures shipped before Historicon and have the whole range available online by July 15th. This is a very aggressive productions schedule.

We also have several sets of new miniatures that will be included as Add-ons as Stretch Goals are met. The rules are in the process of being play-tested and we wish to bring them to print by the spring of We are offering the miniatures now and running this Kickstarter to fund the publishing of the book, Wound Markers, Orenda Dice and Medicine Roll cards.

These items are all in prototype and will be introduced throughout the Kickstarter as Add-ons. These items and the rulebook are planned to be shipped in February We need artwork for the rulebook, layout and printing to get this product to our supporters. Please support us and help us bring this exciting game system to life!

The Flint and Feather Trail

Flint and Feather is a 28mm, individual figure, skirmish game that allows players to accurately play out heroic raids in the Legendary Pre-Contact age of Great Lakes North American First Nations. Individually Hand Sculpted 28mm Miniatures - We know this may be repeating ourselves but unlike some other games on Kickstarter you will not be receiving any duplicate figures in the basic starter Huron and Iroquois sets. Each set contains 14 individual posed and unique miniatures along with a plastic base for each. These figures are not plastic either, they come in unpainted metal.

These are highly detailed, top end miniatures sculpted by Bob Murch who has decades of experience in sculpting. Attack and Defense Card System - This unique combat system gives you the ability to choose the attack or defense maneuver of your key characters providing a critical decision point in the game during each and every melee you may fight.

  • Mojave Desert Wildflowers, 2nd: A Field Guide to Wildflowers, Trees, and Shrubs of the Mojave Desert, Including the Mojave National Preserve, Death ... Joshua Tree National Park (Wildflower Series)?
  • Medicine Roll Initiative System - This creative initiative system allows interesting aspects of the Native American Indian mythology to be added into the game play and provides the game with more of a feel for the Legendary Pre-Contact period. Orenda - this word is the Iroquoian name for the spiritual power inherent in people, animals and the environment.

The rich Iroquoian mythology introduces aspects that allow us to creatively add magic, spells and spirit creatures to the game. Of course the wargame purist does not have to add these rules to the game if your inclination is for standard combat. Raiding enemy camps, obtaining captives and capturing plunder all add to your honor as a Great Warrior and brings power and wealth to your tribe and Nation.

By the 15th century, the pre-contact Wendat settled in the area of the north shore of present-day Lake Ontario, before migrating to the Georgian Bay district on the shore of Lake Huron. The Wendat were a great trading nation and controlled crucial transit points vital to North American trade. Iroquois power and influence extended widely into Canada, westward along the Great Lakes and down both sides of the Allegheny mountains into Virginia and Kentucky and into the Ohio Valley. Alexander Mitchell, our lead game editor, and Vidal Bairos presents a turn of basic close combat game play in this video.

Much work lies ahead. We need to cast, package and ship over forty different miniatures. However, we are a manufacturing company and we both have experience producing miniatures. This is what we do and we know how to produce a great product. This is also not the first Kickstarter we have produced. We have successfully shipped the Star Crush Miniatures Kickstarter. In our Star Crush Kickstarter we did not have the final three models sculpted and this held up our fulfillment date.

However, Bob Murch sculpted some great starships and our supporters were happy with the result. Late fulfillment of the miniatures will not be a problem for this Kickstarter as we have all the miniatures sculpted and we are preparing the production molds while this Kickstarter is running. We are well ahead of the curve.

So join us and get some great looking figures at a lower introductory price. We have set a date of March to get the rulebooks printed. This will be a new process for us and although publishing a book is a long process it is not a overly complicated procedure. We also have quotes for markers, cards and dice from reputable manufacturers.

You can expect to pay these prices if you are supporting us at the Basic Pledge Level. If you pledge for add-ons you can expect to pay up to double these amounts, and even more if you would like your package sent Air-mail. We will also offer a Historicon delivery to those that would like to take advantage of our attendance at that convention. We are a small but experienced team, and we seek to be smart in our planning and expectations. Bob Murch has been sculpting figures since and successfully runs his own miniatures company.
