For David, he has never met a women who did not care that he was in a band, but actually wanted to get to know that man himself. Evelyn, has a plan through life that has made her who she is today; that includes not very experienced in matters of the heart and without a love life. The two decide, after feeling that the whole thing was a big mistake, to give each other a chance. This is due to the newlywed couple developing feelings for each other. The book has received 1, five star reviews on Amazon and 21, five star reviews on Goodreads. Fans of the book like the way the two have great, steamy chemistry with a blend of emotional growth that is realistic.
The story will keep readers turning the pages til the finish, wanting more. This story is one that is impossible for fans to put down. The book will have you putting off going to the bathroom to finish a thought. Readers liked the idea that two people could get married with one being a famous musician when one is drunk and find that they actually love each other. Some readers did not like that they could not relate to the characters in the book, and that the book was poorly written, without much basis in reality.
Some found that the book has a lot of typos and sex scenes, but not much to the story.
Readers also did not like the way that the characters swear in the book; they find that they do it too much and to the point where it detracts and distracts from the actual story. People found that the author should have quit seventy pages before she did as it felt like she had ran out of steam. Some found the way Evelyn and David broke up to be bad and the way they got back together was worse. Drummer for the rock band Stage Dive, Mal Ericson, is in need of changing his image, and fast.
He thinks that if he has a good girl on his arm it should help things, but it is not a permanent thing- it is only to last until he and Stage Dive go on tour. For Anne Rollins, she never thought she would get to meet her hero from her favorite band; she also has some pretty big debts to pay.

Claudia, Brahm, and Diego. This book is quite the ride. Involves a scene with a graphic depiction of sexual violence. Necessary to the storyline. Maybe upsetting in nature. Skip the section if you are worried. You will know when the scene is approaching and can still follow the storyline.

Holy glittering hell K. B did it again. I absolutely LOVE this series. Claudia is a glitter loving vampire, partner in crime to her BFF Lucy and a dancer at the Sassy Sanguine and is in love with her maker Brahm. From the bits and glimpses we got of Claudia before, does not do this girl her justice! And this book just blew my mind! This book is everything you would want with the twisty little turns and the journey of words we get sucked into.
Plus Diego and Abraham both contribute their parts to this story and with Claudia that acts as the perfect mix into this book. I love Claudia and her two yummy men, Abraham and Diego. But the worst secrets always seem to come to light, as these do with a vengeance. An Emotional ride that ends in a HEA! We first met her in Lucy's book and I fell in love with her there. Her bubbly personality and total loyalty to her friends and family really resonated with me.
But those traits did not come easily for her and this book tells her story. She may be the glitter queen, but the darkness she had to overcome makes her one of the strongest women out there. I'm so happy she got her own book! See all 29 reviews. Amazon Giveaway allows you to run promotional giveaways in order to create buzz, reward your audience, and attract new followers and customers.

First of all, this story was better than the first. Secondly, Nick was funny, smart and hot, while Roslyn was the stupidest female I have ever read about!!! It's the end of the world and you find yourself with some guy who prepared everything so you could live comfortable.
Yes, he chained her, but does he tries to rape her?! Nope, Nick is witty and gentle with Roslyn, who only keeps repeating one thing - I hate you. She can't stop complaining when the First of all, this story was better than the first. She can't stop complaining when the world is literally falling apart and she is with someone who can protect her and take care of her. Lol, no, why would she, right?! No wonder in every book or movie the woman is the stupid one Heroines like Roslyn represent us badly. Give us some dignity! X And how this book is better than the first you would ask?

Well, after Roslyn escapes in a t-shirt and without shoes and leaving the door of the cabin open, she realized she doesn't want to leave. Anyway, the story gets better from here. The pair tries to understand each other, come across some crazy old buddies of Nick and in the end, they go to the town everyone wants in. Well, the latter doesn't end well. Finally, I think the story was more interesting and entertaining than I expected.
Would I reread it?! Hell, no, I'd have to feed her the zombies the first opportunity I get. Very, very original story, and I loooved the hero. HERO was a Warrior prior to the zombies virus which destroyed most of the world. Dec 16, Lainey rated it did not like it.
Seventh Book for Smutathon Trope Challenge: It also didn't help that the girl mc was an actual moron. I am probably going to read the first book in this series. Because if you are watching The Walking Dead and are thinking, "Hey, I wish there was more fucking in this show. Full review to come but The very first page had me grinning from ear to ear - cheeky thoughts and witty conversation, yes, this was going to be a fun read; and the intensely charged situation in which Ros finds herself went from 0 - in a second and pretty much stayed there for the entire book.
The world as Ros knows it has gone to hell and nothing is sacred anymore, especially when starvation is just as likely to kill you as the zombies are! Roslyn is sarcastic, witty, maybe a little full of herself but amazingly real and lovable. And Nick gave off this all brawn no brain persona, along with an arrogant air of superiority that I knew had to be hiding a pussycat somewhere in there. Yeah sure, he's angry and a little self absorbed with getting laid but his intentions are good, in his own way!
I also loved catching up with familiar faces, it was great to get a glimpse into how their lives have progressed in the months since meeting them in FLESH and I love Sean, please be okay! I was too caught up in this addictive story to stop and write notes but the few I did, read like this Not only has Kylie tackled some pretty sensitive subject matter, but she has done it with dignity, class and a shitload of realism. Her characters are witty, opinionated, fierce and sexy!
I loved SKIN - every glorious, bloody, crazy, sexy, scary, funny, sexy second of it!! View all 6 comments. Not a huge writer of reviews, but I've really loved this series and thought this was a good follow up to Flesh Skin by Kylie Scott is an entertaining post apocalyptic zombie story that revolves more around the romance? Nick, an ex soldier, uses his skills and what not to barter for a woman-Ros. He's lonely and horny so he comes up with this grand plan that he will get a woman who he will treat like a queen and she will be so grateful for his attention that she will want have sex with him on a daily basis.
Nick learns quickly that the road to hell is paved with Skin by Kylie Scott is an entertaining post apocalyptic zombie story that revolves more around the romance? Nick learns quickly that the road to hell is paved with good intentions. Ros does NOT like him. She does not want to be nice to him. Ros tries from day one to escape, so Nick attaches a chain to her and keeps her captive, telling himself and her it's for her own protection.
He thinks he can eventually wear her down. I seriously laughed my butt off during this book. Nick, a bit of a caveman, isn't a bad man. He isn't abusive or mean-just really, really clueless. He can't fantom why Ros just won't get with the program. I admit to wanting ot smack him silly quite a few times. Ros, on the other hand, is a strong, snarky, independant woman who is seriously angry about the whole situation and tries everyday to explain to Nick that chaining a woman to a bed isn't conductive to winning her over.
I loved that it took Ros a long time to come to like Nick much less become sexually attracted to him. And he had a lot of changing to do before that happened. Trust is a major issue that they both have to deal with. Of course, once Nick realizes that letting Ros go may get him what he wants, the tides turn and they begin to work together rather then against each other. Ros wakes up chained to the bed after her and Nick argued and Nick is gone. She thinks he has left her for good and begins to imagine having to chew her foot off and drag herself to freedom.
Of course, he comes back and Ros lets him have it. His dark brows drew close.

He licked his lips, looked away. But his eyes darted back to her, assessing. I think you just think you do. It integrates well with book one and we get to see some character bleed over. I enjoyed Nick and Ros. They both did stupid things sometimes, but they learned from their mistakes. Actually, once they got over their stupid mis communication tricks, they taught each other how to learn from their mistakes.
That is usually what makes a romance really work for me: The capture fantasy part did get resolved in a way that worked for me. That tension and potential angst helped the character development along and furthered the overall plot The thing that caused me to round down instead of rounding up was the ending. The fight scene at the compound was confusing.
It also introduced half a dozen characters who hadn't been in the book up to that point. Yes, they'd all been in book 1, but even there they hadn't been mentioned by name. It was like a kitchen sink approach to adding last-minute angst and setting up characters for their own stories in future books.

Not my most favorite thing in general, and especially not when it interferes with my ability to enjoy the ending of the story I'm reading. Seriously, I'd been planning to read book 3 even before the sequel-bait ending of book 2; it wasn't necessary. View all 3 comments. I knew he could get Roslyn to come around. I loved how different this has been from anything else I have been reading lately.
Again the narration wa 5 Skin Stars I loved this story, Flesh gave us a beginning and Skin gives us a different perspective. Again the narration was ok, I like Ray better in this book. And Elena is good but I kind of wished we had a different voice than the rest of Kylie's other books. Dark, intense and confronting, SKIN not only pushes the boundaries of her characters but readers as well.
Scott took me on an emotional roller coaster ride that was sometimes confronting, most certainly thought-provoking, yet ultimately satisfying. The action is fast-paced and gruesome, the romance compelling and intense. Nick and Rosalyn struggle and deal with the very realistic issues of loneliness and intimacy, redemption and survival in a world where the rules of civilisation no longer exist. SKIN is a page-turner and you won't be able to put this book down. Oh my oh my oh my. Traded for a panel van full of food. However, the heroine does, and what unfolds is a mix of humour, scares, hot sex and promises!
View all 7 comments. Skin is about a different "couple" in the same world as Flesh. We do get a peek at the main characters and a couple of secondary characters from Flesh in the last few chapters of Skin. Flesh fell a little flat for me because of how the hero went about getting the heroine. So of course she thought he was a bad guy and was going to rap Skin is about a different "couple" in the same world as Flesh. So of course she thought he was a bad guy and was going to rape her.
He had no plans to hurt her but come on, it's creepy the way he went about "saving" her from the asshole group she was with. Their start kept me from really rooting for them to be a couple. I did root for them to survive but I wasn't invested in their romance. Don't get me wrong, he still did a good job but because he only voiced one male POV I didn't get to hear his different ranges for male characters.
I really enjoyed that while listening to Flesh. So much so I was hoping at some point there would be a second love interest so another menage would happen just to hear more male voices. Just kidding Over all the series was a dirty, dark and sexy escape. It hit the mood I was in for a departure from contemporary romances I've been listening to lately. This review can also be found on my blog: I had no problem with the premise or Nick. I thought perhaps I would have trouble accepting a man who did something so horrible. I have never been into the bad boys, and have always had trouble accepting men with bad habits, which the last book I read proves, Bully.
But I fell for Nick and his excuses fas This review can also be found on my blog: But I fell for Nick and his excuses faster than Roslyn. He had good intentions, and like he said, the world isnt fair anymore. There is no law anymore and no society. And what he needed to help him survive was a purpose. A woman to protect, a reason to get up and keep going every day.
So he kidnapped Ros and treated her like a queen, minus the chains. He had a cabin stocked and ready for her. Full of clothes her size, books to keep her busy, food, even wine. They were set up for the long haul. He cooked for her, forced her to work out and stay fit to stay alive.

Taught her how to fight, run, climb trees, shoot, and anything else that would keep her alive against the zombies. He even massaged her after a long day. And he never raped her. He planned to woo her. He may not have kept his hands off her, but I cant blame him if he intended to win her over, and he knew he was an appealing guy. So he had to push his luck a bit if he ever intended to win her over. He gave her a few unwelcomed kisses, and sometimes forced her to cuddle with him at night. All A-ok in my books. The only thing he did which I had a problem with was when he was dry humping her against her will.
But besides that, I would have agreed to the deal if I were her. Why would you wanna face the zombies alone when you could have a big military guy do it for you, and do everything else for you too, in exchange for some loving? And Nick wasnt even serious and creepy like rapists and stalkers. He was sweet and funny and a smart-ass. I would want to have at least some sort of connection, however small.
But given that we had that, I would have been like, "Where do I sign? I also really enjoyed Ros. She was so full of spark and fight, and she was so mouthy. Nick really didnt know what he was getting himself into when he picked her. P But he still picked the perfect woman for him. I wasnt sure about Nick and Ros' relationship at first. I felt like it wasnt really a romance, just survival. He loved having her around because it gave him purpose, nothing more.
It didnt really have anything to do with who she was. Realistically, if he kidnapped the first half decent woman he came across, chances are it wouldnt be his soulmate. But it wouldnt be in a book if she wasnt. P So, I waited a bit longer than I wanted to to see the natural sparks, and I was sad to see their cabin go, but once they were on the run and Ros was free of her chains, they were free to explore a relationship in a more natural atmosphere, minus the zombies.
I love the fact that they were able to get passed their relationship's questionable beginnings, to accept the world they are in and the hand they have been dealt, and just hang on to each other. You chained me up for days and I still wanted to come back and talk over our darkly sordid, slightly kinky, and a lot warped relationship. Face it, you're stuck with me. I didnt realize who they were at first because I havent read Flesh.
It took me awhile before I realized she was with two men. But as soon as I did I went and checked the blurb for book 1, and sure enough it was the same two men.
And it still kinda creeps me out. Definitely not reading Flesh. I dont do menage. But I still loved this and will check out Kylie Scott 's other books, as long as they dont contain menage. I will read Room With a View: Hot Down Under next, but I would enjoy another full-length book in this series. When I got to the end of the book I want more, So much more!
It was really so good! I enjoyed the world that Ms. It was unique and original! It's truly one of a kind! Okay So, This book starts off with a group of survivors hiding out in a school after a zombie outbreak has taken over the world.
