I was brought up a bit short by your harsh comment at the end of Douglas Wolk's review of Judenhass. Do you have some past history with him that justified that? If not, it seemed a small, debatable point in a piece that was mostly about other topics, and not worth questioning all of his critical abilities over.

Douglas is a fine fellow, and to his credit he does not respond to my barbs. However, some time ago I appointed myself the heckler of the critics. I would never respond to a critique of my own work of course, but there is already far too much confusion in the public sphere regarding our medium, and if If a critic writes something that is just not true with regard to the medium in general, then that will be me you read in the comments.

The point was not debatable a it was not a term of Sim's devising and b there were a great deal more than a 'handful' of proponents of the style.
