Truly enjoyable historic experience. You can't help but think of all the aristocrats and bourgeois that spent the night where you are. The passage of time takes its toll on the house, giving it a lot of charm. Our second time here in a month once on our way down France, and then on our way home.

Natacha and Michel were both very kind, generous and patient with my french. The house and garden are very relaxing and comfortable. The dinner and breakfast that Natacha prepared were superb and very satisfying. Their company was very enjoyable and made my stay all the more memorable. I would highly recommend Natacha's to anyone. Merci encore Natacha et Michel. Sylvie is a charming host and made the stay at her gite very enjoyable. As described, it is a working farm which is part of the appeal. I was able to buy some organic, freshly picked vegetables when we checked out. This location has a lot of character being originally founded as a monastery in I would happily go back again if I pass through this area.

A great place to stay, fantastic host, very helpful. Lovely old buildings filled with character. Good suggestions for local visits. A great fun place to stay especially with children. Sylvie and her family were great hosts. Will defiantly be back.

Booked for my parents - they had a wonderful stay and very pleasant meal, booked by Sylvie for them at the local Auberge overlooking the Seine: Foucheres is a quaint little river town in the champagne region and this bnb ties in perfectly, wonderful hosts, beautiful home and property, breakfast is great, but if a language barrier but that cannot be helped. One word of advise be sure to go out and buy food for lunch and dinner as there are few options in the area. Great place to stay over, lots to do in the area. We arrived quite late but Sylvie was there to welcome us.
We bought some homemade jam when leaving and just wished we had bought more. Our bedroom was tastefully decorated and the beds were comfortable. Dining with the other guests was a nice touch and the food was delicious and home grown and cooked. Thanks for a lovely one night stay.
We couple with 7 year old daughter very much enjoyed our stay at this place and our daughter loved the animals cat, dogs, deer, wildpigs etc. I would recommend this place for people that are looking for a quiet place and enjoy some animals in the proximity of the house. The breakfast is very good en the host and the family they live next door are very kind and helpful they helped organising our trip to one of the champagne houses.

The house is spacious, has a lovely garden and an outdoor seating area which is great for having al fresco meals. Phil and Suzanne made a lovely meal on the first night which was a welcome treat after a long day of travelling. The location is great; the port is a short cycle ride away and there are a few restaurants and small shops within walking distance. The town is beautiful and lovely to walk around during the day. There are plenty of activities to do in the area such as champagne tasting, cycle rides, water sports and many more - Phil and Suzanne gave us lots of useful information and know the area very well.
Phil and Suzanne were amazing hosts, really welcoming from the beginning and nothing was too much trouble. Freshly baked goods from the local boulangerie set us up well for the day, and we opted to join them for a BBQ in the evening which was a pleasure. Their knowledge of the local area was also superb The rooms themselves were perfectly clean and tidy, and were really amazingly spacious.
As mentioned in their description, they are renovating the house and outbuildings. This didn't bother us at all though and we spent most of the time in the glorious sunshine outdoors anyway! Esther and Michel were such friendly and helpful hosts! The farm is a beautiful setting, and our hosts did everything to accommodate for our needs and make us feel at home. Myself and my partner had a lovely stay here, and we recommend this place highly! We especially loved dinner and meeting the donkeys. Thanks again Esther and Michel. Great little gem of a place - even nicer than the pictures suggest.
Michel and Esther gave us a warm welcome and a lovely evening meal after our long journey. Room was lovely and very comfortable with all that we needed and plenty of room for our family of four. The village is very pretty and quiet. Great breakfast too and Michel was kind enough to introduce us to their lovely donkeys after breakfast. We would definitely come back if in the area again! The accomadation is fantastic, and the hosts are lovely.
Make sure you have the evening meal with the hosts as its perfect, and great value. Expect to have an extra visit to the donkey sanctuary on site. Inside the house are four large family bedrooms, each with a different bed configuration and space for extra beds as needed please enquire! There are two shared bathrooms: Downstairs, there is also a cosy lounge with a TV, and dining rooms for when we don't eat outside. As well as staying in a traditional French maison, with excellent food served from our kitchen, we have plenty of fun outdoor experiences on offer… - Champagne tours half day or full day around the vineyards and farm producers with tasting opportunities a-plenty!
Some will attract an extra cost - please enquire! Dienville is a small town in the heart of the boutique Champagne region. It is quiet in the winter and busy in the May to September period.
