The author has captured the sense of depression and panic of the characters who face what they think of as economic extinction The story is powerful. Gopaul loves fiction writing. It's his new passion. As a software and database specialist, Gopaul wrote seven books for IT professionals. He then turned his attention to writing two books on spirituality, which paved the way for a hidden passion to emerge. When crafting and completing Tainted Justice, a lifelong dream of Gopaul has now become reality.
He also wanted to be different; only time will tell if he is successful. One thing is for sure: He is bent on giving his readers a satisfying experience. As this books goes into print, Gopaul is planning to write three more thrillers.

Moores rated it really liked it. Tainted Justice is the first work of fiction written by V. Gopaul, a 9 time non-fiction seasoned author. Tainted Justice is the story of one man fighting for his convictions against all odds. Gopaul excels at delivering realism within his fiction. This is clearly a case where the author is pulling directly from experience and giving readers an inside glimpse into bureaucracy at its most sinister moments. Remaining true to the craft, Gopaul keeps the action and suspense rising throughout the entire book.
My favourite character is Terrence, a former hacker turned corporate lap-dog, and only life-line to Jason at his new high-security job. Even though these two men work together to figure out who is spying on Jason, their friendship is not strained and remains realistic within the confines of the plot and their background.
The book falters in two areas though: Here, Gopaul does not use enough emotional attachment and insight to allow the connection among these characters to flourish. My other concern revolves around the inciting incident — the murders at Softek. The characters are never told what happened. A reporter tries to find out and has her own suspicions, Jason hears that a good friend of his is the catalyst for the crime and may or may not have killed himself and several others.
It is never identified, throughout the entire book, as to whether the public crime is a murder-suicide, a mass-murder, or some variation in between. That being said, I have read several interviews and blog postings by V. Gopaul and I know that he intends to turn Tainted Justice into a trilogy. He has even hinted that the question around the media suspicions gets answered in the following books. My only concern as a reader and a fellow writer is that he has left this so open ended and ambiguous that I feel cheated.

How politics may have ties to privately run firms, and how their invaluable support to the private sector, erodes the rights of those belonging to the working-class. There is an amalgam of events which are taken upon in the story, as we come to terms with issues related to lay-offs at the workplace, friendship, love, romance, family-ties, hard-work, a struggle for a rightful cause; and finally, a remarkable attempt to settle for a better lifestyle within the society.
In his quest for setting things straight and rightfully, the protagonist goes the distance to prove that his being a truthful, honest and a dedicated Senior Software Engineer a software analyst at a certain computer firm Softek was worth fighting for. The pathway chosen by Jason McDeere, takes him on a road that leads to dignity and self-respect.

I loved this book—very suspenseful. The reference to the name of the work place in this book was very familiar to me. It bore a name very similar to a company my husband worked for.
