She didn't know what to do. I will never be able to tell these cats apart! My one and a half year old niece likes the book. She looked at it immediately and kissed Grady's picture. She also was taken with the image of Grady in a fireman's hat. She had her Dad read it to her and then shortly after wanted me to read it again. That's about as strong of an endorsement as you can get from that age group. The only problem is she may be a little rough on the book since it's not heavy duty paper. I'll say a 4. My niece has had the book for a month now and still hasn't tired of it. She carries it around quite a bit and still wants it read to her.
Grady seems to be a hit. Mostly because he's a cat but that doesn't really matter, the bottom line is she likes it. Dec 07, Laura rated it liked it Shelves: The story of Grady the Gray Cat who gets adopted from an animal shelter and goes to a home where there are two other cats. The rhyming story tells about how Grady spends his day, what he likes to play with and what he likes to eat. Each page has a nice illustration highlighting what Grady is doing. I was hoping to read the book to my daughter, but I think she might be a little too young to sit through this right now.
The story is told in rhymes which I know will attract her attention, but I think The story of Grady the Gray Cat who gets adopted from an animal shelter and goes to a home where there are two other cats. The story is told in rhymes which I know will attract her attention, but I think there are too many verses on each page for her. Unfortunately, not quite two-year olds do not have a long attention span - she likes to help turn the pages and will often turn them before I am done reading.
I do think she will like it when she gets older though. This story is also told in rhyme and gives you the further adventures of Grady. Read as part of the Goodreads First Reads program. Dec 01, Sara rated it really liked it Shelves: I really enjoyed reading both stories in this book with my daughter. She just recently turned three and at first I thought there might be too many verses per page to hold her attention but she absolutely loved it. Her favorite story was the the side where Grady gets a toy firetruck.
Very cute book and illustrations. I can tell we'll be reading this story several times.
I really like him. Can we get another Grady story?

Moore did an excellent job of making me wonder what will happen to Grady next!
