Suspecting a trap Badou had Mihai, former mob assassin follow him but things go sideways.

Occasionally with violent manga you get that. It never fails to bore me. Now I have another long wait to see more plot since I think this violent spate might be over with.

  • At least the fight scenes are well drawn. May 05, Molly rated it it was amazing. I adore the DOGS series. This book in particular is action packed, lots of guns, lots of swords and lots of movement. There is very little dialouge but what there is, is spot on.

As always the art is gorgeous and never confusing, which is a real talent considering the amount that goes on in just one panel. Everything flows perfectly and the use of full page spreads have huge impact. Can't wait for the next book! Apr 28, Nicole rated it really liked it Shelves: Talk about all hell breaking loose!

It makes absolutely no sense. I'm obsessed by it. The violence is just so pretty! Are you kidding me?! It cannot end like this. And I really, really hope they won't do that to us. I appeal to you directly. Please, please, please, please write the end of this series.

And make it a continuation of the awe some story and art that I've come to expect from your incredible team. When your writing is this good, I think you have a responsibility to the readers to at least give us an ending. I will be here waiting. Please make this before I die. I might die quicker than anticipated simply because the stress of lack of closure may cause an early grave.

So y'know, don't dilly dally or anything, okay? My enthusiasm for this is beginning to flag a bit as the story line seems to be spinning its wheels. You can tell we're near the end but both the art and the story has gotten a little sloppy and stretched. Heine and Badou, along with Giovanni, have left Naoto behind as they go underground to face Einsturzen. Naoto follows them with Bishop but is he really a friend or an enemy pretending to be a friend?

Unfortunately for Heine and Giovanni Giovanni isn't quite himself and not completely in control. Worse Giovanni's brain is decompensating. As for Einsturzen, Frankenstein had nothing on her. SHe has become something as monstrous on the outside as she is on the inside. And the rest of the volume is one protracted fight scene.

Among the fights we do get snippets of story line, history and present day but it's starting to feel like Bleach a few nuggets of story buried in so many fight scenes they've become monotonous. I'm following this to the end which should be soon. I just wish it balanced battle and plot better like it did in the earlier volumes. Jun 17, Sharakael rated it really liked it Shelves: I was half hoping that this would be the final volume, but I'm not complaining to be wrong - if anything this book seemed to only serve to heighten the tension to lead to a grand finale.

In this one we finally get to see the hopefully final antagonist - but at the same time more questions got raised with answers hanging.

Heine's identity, Naoto's identity - and while we finally found out what happened to Badou's brother, how it will get resolved will be interesting to see in the next volume s. The only thing missing from this volume was the rare light-hearted moments. In previous volumes there were still moments, however rare, that would make me smile. This volume was all adrenaline rush from start to end. That cliffhanger at the end though Jul 15, Barbara rated it liked it Shelves: I thought this would be the last volume, but it's actually just a build up to the climax and a reveal at the end that I thought we knew already?

Definitely a manga meant to be read slowly, not only to appreciate the art but to keep track of the fight scenes; personally I'm constantly finding they can get confusing, especially between characters like Heine and Giovanni who have similar appearances. Still, as always, I'm excited to see where this story is going.
