If deadheaded, the bloom cycle will be extended. However, some spent blooms should be left on the plants in fall because their seeds provide winter food for finches and other birds. The dried seed heads also provide architectural interest in the winter. Missouri native perennial grass. Adaptable to wide variety of soils--tolerates clay soil. Medium green leaf blades grow to 1' long. Nine inch long "bottlebrush" inflorescences emerge in the summer, are held well above the foliage, and persist well into the fall.

Heliopsis Tuscan Gold is a companion to the very popular Tuscan Sun, offering flowers that a little more saturated with color and a little larger. This selection blooms mid to late summer and has a compact, upright habit with dark green leaves that resist powdery mildew.

A true breakthrough in daylily breeding, this is the first red, very early blooming, hardy daylily. In the ground, this daylily typically starts to bloom in mid-June which is several weeks earlier than most cultivars. Plants can rebloom up to 4 times per year, showing nearly days of color in zone 6. It is documented to produce 6 or more fans per season compared to fans produced on an average daylily. It also tends to produce more than one flower scape per fan, so the plants quickly grow to form a highly floriferous, robust clump. Daylilies can survive many harsh conditions that other plants cannot including: Visually, almost identical to Happy Returns, but with a more intense, lovely fragrance!

Leaves emerge dusty-rose, then transition to pewter while retaining some dusty rose accents for a long time. Silver leaves topped with bright pink flowers. A short yet robust plant, perfect for containers. A Heuchera villosa hybrid, so displays a good tolerance for heat and humidity. This heuchera with wavy, yellow-green leaves and cream flowers will really brighten up shady spots in the perennial border. This Heuchera has big leaves and big color with bright purple leaves and dark gray veining with rosy flowers atop these dense plants.

Chartreuse leaves with scalloped edges have bronze red coloring around the veins. Bright pink flowers alight from a very full mound in early summer. A lovely heuchera all around! Long-lived bright pink flowers adorn this foliage plant, making this selection extra interesting all year long! Large, heavily dissected, light green leaves with purplish centers. Lobed leaves emerge dark red, lighten to bronze, then change to a deep green in summer. Deep red, incredibly lobed foliage, 5" wide. Turns to an olive green foliage in the heat of summer. This series should be hardy in zones 5 to 9, and prefers acidid well-drained soil.

Amaretto has coral-salmon colored petals. Ambrosia has a bright pink bloom that blends into a bright white center. Bleu Brulee's flower is sky blue with a red eye. Brandy Bleu has a blue-tinged flower with a multi-toned red eye. A compact olive green hibiscus ideal for tight spaces. Don't grab the Visine, these long-lasting blooms are beauties! Cordon Bleu has a blue flower reminiscent of the classic Rose of Sharon, with a red eye that extends towards the margins in the veining of the petals. The front of each waterfall is decorated with a rhinestone embellishment. The final page is a pock which holds several postcards, a tag, and a photo mat. It is embellished with another chipboard image from the paper collection.

More flowers , some ribbon, and another one of those teeny tiny masquerade masks finish off the pocket.

The Midnight Masquerade

Here is the entire 'album' standing open on its own. As it's made from 1 piece of paper, it's obviously 12" wide, though measures shorter when 'zig zagged' to stand on its own. I then covered the top with rhinestone mesh so that the entire surface was a sea of sparkle! Sweeper Fringe was then run around the window opening of the box. Check out the different color combinations available - gorgeous! I used some silver glitter on white feathers and filled a 2 Inch Glass Bottle with seed beads and specialty beads in the same colors as the paper collection.

A lot of paper flowers were used and really help to give an extravagant vision. I used various elements from the different designs from the paper collection to create a small collage-like cover. As previously mentioned, everything had to be flat, so that no depth was created. Thanks for spending time with me and my Midnight Masquerade!
