Did she hear him right? Could it be someone inside the facility? Looking around the area, Mercy stared at the vault dial. Mercy looked at her hand and back to the dial. Grinning, Mercy had an idea and went to spray on said dial. After a while, Mercy switched off the lights. Reaching to her crown, Mercy's halo started to glow. She went to the dial and smiled at the fingerprints. Punching a number into her phone, Mercy asked Winston to scan the finger prints from her phone. Speaking of Winston, as the gorilla waited for the results of the finger prints the computer beeped at another monitor, showing an unknown aircraft traveling towards Egypt.

Winston adjusted their glasses, watching the moving beeping red dot on the screen. Typing a few things, Winston stood from his chair to join the team to investigate the area. It is a race against the clock as the enemy team consisted of Widowmaker, Reaper and n0v4. Widowmaker sat on top of her nest with her watchful eyes for any incoming enemies. Reaper stood in the shadows, his shotguns at the read as n0v4 tapped into the mainframe.

The roar of an engine and jets were enough to give away that Overwatch was here. The bullet hit the floor an inch from McCree's foot, causing the cowboy to jump back to safety. Widormaker smirked, that was just a warning shot. Why kill them so quickly when the spider can play with her food. Thinking up of a plan Winston jumped to the front, activating his shield.

McCree and Genji shot their weapons up to her. Widowmaker took a step back, covering her face with her arm and tried to wait out the shield. Winston held the Barrier Projector in his hands, making sure the device doesn't fail like those other times. This unfortunately means that everybody was too busy to check the flank. Reaper was easily able to approach and disturb their formation.

Pain shot though McCree's body as the shotgun at that distance did a lot of damage to him. McCree bended over with his hands on his knees, breathing hard as Genji tried to help the cowboy while firing shurikens at Widowmaker. With less heat on her, Widowmaker took scope and aim again. With a mighty swing, Winston pushed Reaper aside like a ragdoll.

Smiling, Winston was going to celebrate until Widowmaker shot his body armor, which made Winston realized the Barrier Projector was also thrown aside when he hit Reaper. The Group dispersed, running for cover. Genji carried McCree to safety. The Japanese Samurai looked at the damaged done, remembering what the doctor had said Genji gave McCree some pills. Genji didn't talk, he didn't felt like it. Although he was also hurt, he didn't feel much pain or harm that was inflicted on his metallic body.

Genji still missed his old body but he learned to accept this new one. Genji just shrugged and pulled the man up onto his feet. Back on the Objective, n0v4 sat on the dusty floor staring and tapping away to gain access to the god program. The hacker stood, waiting as her laptop continued to load into the mind of Anubis.

Frustrated, McCree checked how many bullets he had left. Left click snipe his ass. Literally the highest upvoted post is one that says old Roadhog was the answer to a plethora of issues and an extremely effective, comfortable pick to function incredibly well independently of your team's effectiveness at their respective roles. And then it implies that we should go back to that state of the hero. The second highest echoes the same sentiment, going even further as to say that Roadhog's characteristic of running around and destroying shit without any team support helped him climb easily and that the character should be like that again.

Well yeah, the drawback being that although he could do everything, he fed enemy ults, thus accelerating the entire enemy team. Another problem with hog was his ult being terrible, not benefiting your own teams ult economy as much as a Zarya or Rein ult. Hog's ult lowers his pick potential and his DPS a lot of the time, makes him a huge sitting duck, and leaves him unable to heal.

Overall his ult is literally the worst in the game other than arguably riptire. There are certain situations it can be good, but those are few and far between and mostly rely on an entire team pushing into one corridor or comboing with Zarya. At best it pushes people off a cliff or traps them against s wall which makes it fairly situational.

Most of the time it just tickles the enemy while keeping them away from the point. He was an interesting factor no matter how you look at it, and not without downsides which this post or the top voted replies is not delving into. All I know is the game already felt stale and now it feels even staler and I am honestly sad. I feel increasingly that they are killing the game for a lot of people. I still wonder who those people are that complain about Roadhog while fronting GM flairs.

This is strictly subjective. Even high level players complained about Roadhog because he's a fundamentally controversial hero. It's not a question of balance he was pitch perfect prior to these stupid nerfs , it's a question of whether or not there should be a low skill character that literally creates 1v1s where neither his team nor the enemy team are relevant in a team game. There's a very small number of things you can do to help a teammate survive a Hog hook which are highly situational.

It's not like a typical flank where the enemy player has to aim and you can force a 2v1 engagement to make them give up the pick by healing or otherwise supporting the teammate they're flanking. Fuck alright I'm dead bye". When Hog hooked someone he didn't care where his teammates were or what they were doing, the kill is all his. He needs no support, no teamplay, nothing. Even if he misses the hook he can smash that mf E and spin around frantically until his hook comes back. It's just not a team oriented kit.

People like that about him. Some people don't like that about him. I think it'd be pretty hard for a good player to argue hog needed a nerf because he was OP, but it's not exactly a mystery as to why people didn't like a low skill OHKO hero who functioned so well independently of his team. If blizz wants to follow the "we don't like one shots unless they're skill based" philosophy, he had to go. Proposed Junkrat changes put conc mine on the one shot chopping block. Scatter is probably next.

We'll see where they go with this. I agree with this sentiment wholeheartedly. I miss old hog dearly, I really do. But removing the binary one-shot mechanic opens up his kit for so much more. Old hog's iteration was one of the best answers to dive in the game. He could immediately eliminate or at least, knock back divers in your backline.

He was highly effective against Winston, could neutralize Genjis or Tracers, expose D. I would play aggressively against teams without dive, and sit back to peel for him against effective dive. It worked really well. Without his one-shot mechanic, he can't really do this effectively by himself anymore, so I'd love to see Blizzard double-down on displacement as a way of disrupting incoming dive or enemy defensive setups. One idea I toyed with was instead of the dmg reduction on his heal , give him a passive where he will get dmg reduction for a second or two after being hit, with a cooldown of seconds.

This would create windows he could capitalize on to get better effectiveness out of his ult, going for hooks, etc, as well as enemies can play around it by "softening" him before full engages or before he gets into position. Soldiers, Winstons, Tracers anyone with large clip sizes are only minimally less effective while bursty characters can't eat through his health pool as quickly for a short window.

Thematically, it ties in nicely as well with the massive, one-man-apocalypse theme. Hog just gets shredded so quick whenever his enormous gut pops into view. Another passive idea was to have displacement effects have a reduced effect on him a niche strength, but come on. He's a hp meat shield. The fact that all that hp can be so quickly negated really hurts. I like this idea. Call it "Adrenaline" or something. Fits his character and model well I think, more than getting DR while he runs off and heals.

Well I mean not grossly unbalanced or "wrong", or OP and meanwhile demanding of your attention and creating variety not get hooked die or right click die caricature variety but you need to be a bit cautious here or there, jiggle peek and dodge a hook and shoot him, or use your abilities to help team mates, as a zen you can frag him and so forth and try to strategically punish him both playing against or as him.

I think people can be biased me included , someone that is happy only playing Genji or healers and only care about their own experience will probably dislike hog.

I remember in S1 I was super annoyed with Zaryas barriers, and shields in general. Greatly lacking in perspective and I was super opportunistic almost purely playing DPS in having an issue with it although everyone get fed up with shields from time to time.

Tracers by Uche Nduka

But I am not a hog main and I would play a lot of D. And I can sense that he is missing as an enemy and that I have come to the conclusion that I dont like that. You are saying good players did not like hog. I very much doubt a whine thread about the nerfs, even on this subreddit, upvoted by every good player on it would outweigh the downvotes from everyone else. So there is no way to know, but you could be right just as well. But there is no way to know exactly how people that fully grasp how to play against, or play hog themselves, think of him.

Would be interesting to know. I also dont agree that he is a low skill character. People exaggerate his ease of play, and sometimes people play different games, or at different levels. Also if hog is not team oriented because he is focused on doing damage then DPS is not team oriented and so forth I dont buy that logic. And a lone hog can get punished so fast. And there is a different style of playing hog that has nothing to do with holding side angles which can be counterplayed I will add or flanking aaall around a team, but bumping heads with enemy tanks which could work even in Masters games.

I just dont think they can do anything, and they have removed something that was meaningful. They can basically tankify him like they already have, they are talking about some kind of bastion style healing: Nothing on the hook yet. And people did not like to get hooked in a way that was disadvantaging to them.

Buy for others

The outcome of a improved hook then would be that someone gets hooked and dies. Probably because they're not actually gm. Yes ranked is so much better without Hog. I personally love D. Va's fair and balanced Defense Matrix stopping anything from dying. And when they do Mercy ults, making for an even more fun gameplay experience. And let's not forget Tracer and Winston rushing everyone down! Hog could hook DVa out of her mech and stop her bullshit Defense Matrix spam. He could pull in Mercy before she could undo all of your hard work by pressing one button.

He created a zone of threat that Tracer or Winston wouldn't dare to enter. He made the game a lot more healthy and diverse because he countered a lot of stuff that other heroes couldn't. Now you just have D. Va and Mercy mains running around all over GM and Top and you can't do anything about these heroes without running them yourself since Roadhog doesn't do anything anymore, and his 'defensive buff' does nothing to change that. DVa and Winston being oppressive and rez being annoying doesn't lend any credence to the argument that Hog's changes should be reverted.

DVa and Mercy one tricks were littering high ranks before the Hog nerf. Winston, Dva, Tracer, Genji and Mercy were already running rampant in top long before Roadhog was nerfed. You have to be delusional to think Roadhog single-handedly countered dive heroes. He didn't single handedly counter but he was one approach you could take in MM and when maybe not everything is perfect, freeze a Winston or walk into his bubble and shoot at him.

And even with a good Tracer if there is a group situation the hog can kill or surpress the Tracer, and a pressured genji, esp considering all levels of play, is giving the hog a good opportunity to punish him. Some games people just don't fill roles adequately, and it's really frustrating to play. Having a glue character or two isn't so bad.

In your team game did you know you can make your team shoot a flanking Roadhog together, a Lucio can bump him, a Zen can discord him, or have your Zarya shield you when you get hooked, or a D. Hog gets countered by teamwork, and didn't team as effectively as other tanks either. In the "old hog" games teamwork was already out the window, that's why he was the one man apocalypse.

They're overpriced and I hate them, but with new movies there's no other option, other than watching a shitty cam version. I went and saw San Andreas a few months ago. It was the first movie I'd seen in a theater in years, and, I gotta say, that whole "theater experience" really sucks.

The smile on her face ceased as the thought of Overwatch's Revival invaded her mind, thinking if it was really a good idea to come back in action. Overwatch was shut down for a reason and Angela sat there quietly as time went by. She almost missed the beeping of her phone. Angela picked up the device, looking at the details as she finished her dark chocolate. The doctor picked up her suitcase and exited the restaurant, walking toward her destination as she followed the blinking dot on her screen. In the area of Geneva stood a research facility of Nuclear and particles, this facility study the fundamental structure of the universe.

The place was guarded with the highest security they could get with motion detection, heat vision cameras and laser rooms.

Editorial Reviews

It would be impossible to enter that facility. However, tonight was different as a glint of a scope flashed in the building nearby.

Welcome to Reddit,

Widowmaker kneeled on the floor, her sniper rifle resting on the window still with a silencer attached on the barrel of the gun. She jumped forward, flicking her right wrist to activate her grappling hook. In an unknown location, a figure was busy typing away on a computer. The facility began to power down before lighting up the area again. This gave Widowmaker a safe opportunity to sneak into their labs.

The laboratory door unlocked, allowing Widowmaker to enter. The sniper explored the lab, looking at the apparatus and materials on the tables. Widowmaker ignored them all and walked to the vault, where it slowly unlocked itself. The vault opened, showing a breaker with a red substance. Widowmaker took her test tube and poured some into said test tube and left the remaining in the breaker. She left the facility with her grappling hook, flying over the wall as the security came back on.

However, her leg met air as Tracer blinked away. All the while, Tracer kept giggled that she knew would annoy Widowmaker. The sniper kept her aim true, shooting wherever Tracer as she track her down. In the shadows of the buildings, a figure carefully watched their fight waiting for the perfect moment to strike. The hacker loaded a dart and took aim, waiting when she'll get a good shot. The battle went like it always did with Widowmaker and Tracer in a tied. After the intense fight, Tracer's chrono-acelerator started to dim down causing the girl to temporary unable to use her abilities.

That was the chance n0v4 needed and fired. The dart landed on her neck, causing her to reach for her neck. Tracer pulled the dart out, taking a good look at it before falling to the ground unconscious. The last thing Tracer saw was Widowaker's smirking face. Widowmaker was about to shoot the girl in the head until n0v4 stepped in front of Tracer. The hacker shook her head. The sniper sighed, turning around and walking to the evacuation area followed by n0v4.

Behind them lay the sleeping heroine, not knowing the events that took place on those streets. Back at Talon base, a group of soldier immediately rushed to the escort n0v4 to her quarters. They blindfolded her, tied her wristed together and dragged her to her room. On the way, they passed a laboratory with only a male occupant staring, watching his wife go back to her prison. He took it and began the experiments, taking one last glance out the window to see the last bit of her disappear.

In another room, a young teenage boy was in the firing range, shooting a rifle at the target.
