They both try very hard to avoid the inevitable but , yanno that bitch called Fate Rest should've been history , but there comes the gavel that comes down on their perfectly laid plans. It's a good story, hot sizzling Montgomerys and cute sexy Jules. So much yum is packed into this tantalizing and tempting quick read! Some people will consider this a fine line to cross when incorporating it into the subject matter.
But the approach the author took with this controversial topic and expanding the reader's perception was My goodness But the approach the author took with this controversial topic and expanding the reader's perception was just downright brilliant! Trashy Foreplay is so much more than what is initially expected. You're given a story about two lost and heartbroken people, who find an all-consuming love during one of the worst times in their lives. And no matter what they say to themselves and each other, and how hard they fight it, their passion and chemistry is too powerful of a force to deny.
You learn what drove each character to where they are, and the choices everyone made. And the more that is uncovered, you can't help but hope for what everyone wants out of life By the time you're finished with this book, you'll be left with more questions than what you started out with. That's all I'm going to say about that, as I hate revealing spoilers.
Actions have been taken that will leave you curious, and decisions need to be made that will toy with your emotions. I was instantly captivated with this story line and the unique characters at play.
Not You It's Me
Just when I was finally given what I wanted, it was ripped away, and I was left desperately wanting more! I'm beyond excited for the next book! If it's even half as good as Trashy Foreplay , I know I won't be disappointed. Mar 16, TF rated it it was ok. Going to call this one a bust for me and not bother with Book 2. I couldn't seem to get into the story Jun 07, Julie rated it it was amazing Shelves: I'm pissed, I wrote what I thought and it showed posted on GR but obviously it's not here.
Unless it's a duplicate, I'll have to check it out. Either way I'm not going to write again except I love the shit out of it! On to book 2. Gemma James delivers a 5 star, page turning goodness of a forbidden story that got under my skin from the very first page!! This book was unputadownable!!!! Its a story that had me teetering on the edge of my seat the whole time, and my heart lodged permanently in my throat!!! This was a highly addictive read for me, packed with a lot of emotions!!! I couldn't get enough of him!!!
Trashy Foreplay
My heart really hurt for both Cash and Jules - their chemistry so potent yet their circumstances was so forbidden!!!! James's narrative - I love the way she writes from dual POVs and the ease in how her story unfolds! Steamy, sizzling and intense, just the way I like it. Can't wait for Book 2! Aug 06, Kira rated it liked it Shelves: The title was misleading. It wasn't trashy, and there wasn't much foreplay unless you consider flirting foreplay. The only thing that made this remotely trashy was that Cash was married. It didn't bother me because it was clear his marriage had been on the rocks for a while.
It was one of those things where it seemed like it was over but he hadn't admitted it to himself yet. It was good but lacked the intensity of Gemma James's dark romances. It was a quick read, and I didn't want to put it down The title was misleading. It was a quick read, and I didn't want to put it down. I've read stories similar to this before. It's not my favorite type of romance. The ending was a surprise in a good way. Obviously something was going to happen, but I was expecting something different.
I received this from Netgalley in exchange for an honest review. I need more pages! Talk about chemistry and sexual tension. Jules up and leaves her life in small town Oklahoma for a fresh start in Seattle. She needs to get away from the mess she made of her life and a chance encounter with a sexy passenger might not be the best way to start fresh.
Cash is on his way home and is completely taken by fellow passenger Jules. But Cash's life is a bit complicated. Maybe a bit is an understatement. When fate intervenes for a second time he hires Jules to be UGH!!!! When fate intervenes for a second time he hires Jules to be his assistant and then things go from warm to smoking hot. Told in alternating POV, you see how hard these two fight their attraction to each other in a lose, lose battle.
While I don't condone much of their behaviors, their attraction to each other was so heavy you could feel it. And I couldn't help but feel a little wrong for cheering them on. This book is not for everyone, but it was certainly for me. I don't mind a little wrongness in my story and this one had just enough. But this story is not over, there is more and I can't even begin to guess where it is going. I tried to be a good girl. But the blurb kept teasing me, it kept whispering in my ear all the filthy possibilities.
I can't help that a small part of me needed to know just how this book plays out. So here I am justifying my curiosity to people who could care less. I just want you to know, I didn't start out wanting to reading books with cheating. I even justify that too. Or I could if I cared enough The tension, chemistry, and overwhelming need in this book is off th I tried to be a good girl. The tension, chemistry, and overwhelming need in this book is off the charts hot. You may not like cheating my hand is raised on that one but the heat in this book is undeniable.
Also it seems like this is just the beginning Trashy Foreplay is one book 1 of Even if you call me trashy This is the story of Jules and Cash. Jules and Cash are attracted to each other after meeting on a air plane. Jules is dealing with a past mistake that she wants to make a fresh stat. Cash is in a bad marriage with a cheating wife. Jules and Cash have so much that should keep them away from each other but their feelings won't be denied easily. This book does end with a cliffhanger to set you up for the next book in t Trashy Foreplay by Gemma James is the First Book in the "Trashy Affair" series.
This book does end with a cliffhanger to set you up for the next book in this series. Overall I really enjoyed this book and find Ms. James books hard to put down. Since there is the married man with single women story line keep that in mind if it is a issue for you. My feelings are so mixed up on it.
Daisy (Archer's Creek #2) by Gemma Weir
I have been wanting to read Trashy Foreplay since I found out about it, and even though I've never read Gemma James I had really high hopes for it. While I was reading it, I couldn't stop. I read the entire book in one day because it is a definite page-turner. Chemistry and anticipation were the key factors in why I couldn't t 3.
Chemistry and anticipation were the key factors in why I couldn't tear my eyes from the page. Gemma James created great tension throughout the entirety of the book and I can see why she's a bestselling author. I received an advance reader copy of this book that I have chosen to review.
This story gave me the hick-ups. It's one of those reads that when I realized how close to the end I was reaching, I started to feel sad that it was almost over. I couldn't fathom not having Cash and Jules to pant over. I started to worry about the pace of the story and how Ms. James was going to wrap it up. Then I discovered, much to my delight, that it's a part of a series This story starts out strong and This story gave me the hick-ups.
This story starts out strong and never lets up. When it opens Jules is lamenting the demise of her relationship with a boy named Chris. It's not entirely her fault, it takes two, and that is a message that plays loud over the course of the book. Soon after, Jules meets Cash, and both start to believe in fate. What put them in first class as seat mates, why are they so drawn to each other? And when he touched me, bringing me back from the edge of fear and despair, my body came alive.
Sometimes the timing is simply all wrong. Gemma James leaves us with dangling but not too close to the edge. When I signed up for Trashy Foreplay, I did so with great trepidation. The last book I read from Gemma James was from the Condemned series; dark, twisty books that assuaged my palette for reading. I loved those books, and still they remain among one of my favourite series. I was wary about reading her New Adult work in case it disappointed. I knew it was different but the irresistible pull of this author, and the way she writes, pulled me in. I hoovered the first chapter, falling in love again with the way this author so eloquently writes.
I was immersed in the feels and the emotions that were emoted through her character, Jules, who we meet first. Then in walks Cash, equally emotive and just as devastated as Jules. From the moment they meet, you feel it, and you just know Trashy Foreplay is going to drag you through the ringer. From a technical point of view, Trashy Foreplay is as cliched and overdone as you can get. Two random meetings, nine emails, four days and a broken boy that brought me back to life. Fates gift for making it this far" "Your the best fucking pr "You're a tunnel of light in a lifetime of darkness" After I stopped fanning myself over this cover, I got stuck into my second book by this author and it's also this authors second book. Fates gift for making it this far" "Your the best fucking present I've ever got baby" I'm a huge fan of MC and after reading so many they come in all different shapes, sizes, forms, they can all be so different, what is normally the same is a possessive alpha biker who lays claim on his woman, kind of like a cave man banging his chest "Me man, she my woman" and although some woman don't like that, I love it, it's fiction and I love the whole protective alpha scenario and Daisy despite his flowery name is all man and definitely no flower but he also made this story beautiful..
For Daisy this is an insta love story from the moment he sets eyes on the timid Angelique who is later named Angel he can't get her out of his head and even though he is intrigued and has lust in his eyes, this biker of the Doomsday Sinners is on the ride of his life to love, he just has to get Angel who has no life experiences on the same journey. Angelique lives under the house arrest of her father who is the Mayor of Archers Creek.
See a Problem?
Most people don't even know the mayor has a daughter she is home schooled and alienated from the outside world. Angelique is a mouse of a girl who takes beatings from her father and dreams of one day being free. Her night of freedom comes from an overheard conversation she hears of her father and another man planning on the sale of her virginity to pay a debt. Angelique runs from her home and falls into none other than the arms of Daisy who hasn't been able to forget his Angel since the first time he laid eyes on her all be it brief.
For Angel this is a story of self discovery, courage, freedom, a journey of firsts, finding real love and family. For Daisy this is a story of finding a new purpose as protector and discovering love and his life being complete. A great story and really well told By Gemma Weir it flowed brilliantly, hotness in the right places, brilliant and lovable first and secondary characters and an addictive story, like I said I couldn't put it down. Another brilliant addition to the series, my favourite so far and I know without a doubt I will be saying that again with another book that's how it goes.
Yay we are back in Archers Creek!!!! The one thing I took away from Daisy was Gemma's writing style, from the first book to the second, you can feel in the words how she's developing and growing as an author, so well done Gem, I loved Echo, but Daisy pipped him to the post. This is the 2nd book in the Archer's Creek series, and another member of the Doomsday Sinners MC get's their moment in the spotlight don't be fooled by his name, he's no flower.
Gemma does insta love so well, this wasn't as Yay we are back in Archers Creek!!!! Sep 30, Gin rated it really liked it. Daisy is a sexy young stud that's newly patched into the only family he's known. The Doomsday Sinners runs Archer's Creek and keeps it safe from gangs, cartels and hard drugs. I haven't read Echo yet but this story is terrific. It took me awhile to get used to a big biker named Daisy but with his bravery and sexiness I fell in love with him. When he falls for Angelique and rescues her from her horrible family life his wonderful personality shines.
His Angel is a young innocent I'm swooning hard! His Angel is a young innocent that is running from her evil father and his nefarious plans for her. She has been so beaten down by her circumstances that she's a trembling mess when she runs to Daisy for help. But with Daisy's gentle care she blooms into a strong woman. Daisy's patience with her was so swoon worthy as he guides her to find her inner sex kitten. They are a young loving couple that belongs together and together they are. They sexy are sweet and hot! I have to give a shoutout to Grits and her lady balls.
Loved her and the brotherhood. This story focuses on the terrific characters and their story rather than being a blood and guts type of MC story. The author does a fabulous job of character development and makes us care about the wonderful characters she has created. For me it dragged a little in some parts and was somewhat predictable but overall was a fantastic read. I was ready to jump into Blade because I loved the writing and these fierce brothers and their women.
I voluntarily reviewed an ARC. I really felt for Angel, how could a parent do a child like that?! Daisy and Angel fight for their love and the club has their backs. Apr 15, Emma Allsop - Perusing Princesses rated it really liked it. Daisy has been a prospect in the Doomsday Sinners MC for the last 18 months. Loyal to his club and brothers, they are his family and he loves everything that they represent.
But her father has other ideas and her plans may need to change. I really enjoyed this book. Having read Echo, I had already met Daisy. When I found out that his book would be next I was intrigued to see where Gemma would go with it. In the opposite direction is where. She has shook it up, changed pace and given us a very captivating storyline. There is nothing that I love better than opposites attracting to make perfection. He is your typical biker but Angel really brings something out of him and the gentleness he has for her made me swoon.
As for Angel, well she surprised me. I can imagine that as much as a debut is nerve-wracking that the follow up must be even worse. Was the first book a fluke? Will everyone hate this one? Well I can wholeheartedly say that no nerves are needed by Gemma Weir. I think this book proves that Gemma has genuine talent.
A hundred hundred-word stories about London by Gemma Seltzer
What am I going to do with you. I knew, after reading Echo, that I would love you and I do, so freaking much. Now, about the book Well there is no danger of that with Daisy, No, because we jump straight into a saucy thre Daisy, oh Daisy. Well there is no danger of that with Daisy, No, because we jump straight into a saucy threesome don't we!? And wrap my arms around that poor girl. I feel for her so much, how she wants to do what's right but her feelings for Daisy are too strong to keep her away. I also loved Grits and how she came in and took Angel under her wing!
And she's a total badass! Well, what can I say?! There are no words I can use to describe him. What decent mother would allow these kinds of things to happen to her children!? Angel was a lost soul, someone who needed saving. Daisy and the club saved her and gave her the family she needed. Their love was sweet and gentle yet true. I knew, after reading Echo, that I would love this story even more and I did. And finally, that epilogue! I couldn't have been happier! Now Gemma needs to hurry up and write all the words for the next book because I'm not sure how long I can wait! Fantastic Okay this was great!
I really connected to the torn, abused heroine and her plight. I needed to see what she went through to feel her pain and anguish and it really tore at my heart. I can see why these two fit and fall into each other quickly. When your soul or fate guides you to your one you take it and go. Daisy is a marvel of an alpha, so patient and sexy as well. Anders and grits stole my heart. Small cons or just something for the author to think about. Not a Fantastic Okay this was great! Daisy was fully redeemed anyway. And as much as I loved this scene where grits is shooting a gun, that would cause quite a ruckus in a public setting.

The topic of others being around and how the MC handles that was glossed over and for me that causes my mind to spin a little wondering how that worked and I know it will for other readers as well. A beta read will catch things like that. All that said this deserves 5 stars.
