Would you try another book from Wayne M. Yes, I would give it a try. It got annoying with the constant use of the acronym NUTS.

The book has some good ideas. But sometimes I wonder when I read a book like this "What is the womans role in the relationship? After about 2 hours I just couldn't take any more. He loves to use his phrase "your nuts" and doesn't go more than about a minute or two saying "your nuts this" or "your nuts that. We all KNOW that he is playing with he own double-entendre when he says "protect your nuts" or "don't let go of your nuts" or "trust your nuts".

It's clever, I guess. But after hearing him say some clever variation of what he obviously is trying to make his own coined term, times in a couple hours I get the impression he is more focused on marketing and self-promotion than actually helping men "who don't have any nuts" or "who gave their nuts to their wives". In fact, I am very convinced that that is exactly his goal in writing this book.

I'm likely asking Audible to take it back so I can use my credit on a real self-help book. Lately, men's roles in society have been shaped by wrong-thinking ideals and narrowly focused group-think.

Hold Onto Your N.U.T.S…

You will become a Man that leads, loves and nutures, all the while, holding true to your N. A man is judged by his actions. So, get to work! I am listening to it right now again. This is an ongoing life reference book. The first time introduces you to the ideas, but then you book mark all the tools and refer back when you need a little help or reminder, especially when challenged by your children, work, your woman, whatever. The Way of the Superior Man. Although quite different in approach, they both lead a man to becoming a lot more solid, steady, calm and strong emotionally so they can handle any situation that comes their way.

The pace was good and his voice is filled with passion for the topic, so that makes it easy on the ears. Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you? I liked the personal stories as I related to many of them. I highly recommend this book for any man who wants to improve himself as well as his relationships with others.

As I always say, your litmus test is your Bible. If the content deviates from the Good Book, then go with the Good Book. Levine, for example, says that men should establish their own N.

The primary focus of this book, and its greatest strength, is the eight tools that will help men hold on to their N.

Of primary importance is the book's emphasis on the importance of men having not just men that they can rely on, but establishing trusting relationships with initiated men men who have usually been through one or more of the various intensive men's weekend programs and who generally have a deep understanding of the discipline and commitment needed to make long-term relationships work. Such relationships, after all, are key to giving men a place to unload the anger, fears, and frustrations which can be relationship killers.

I would highly recommend that any man in a long-term relationship or any man considering entering into one read both Hold on to Your N. Both books present information that is essential to men who want the best tools to maintain strong, functional long-term relationships. I appreciated the insight, and learned a few things that I don't have to be responsible for in relationship. I probably should have done some more research prior to buying it. I didn't know it's a self help book. After completing it I have to say it was well written and is directed towards men and their relationships.

There are some fine tools to take away from this read.
