It can be something about friendship, about different ways of having fun, about differences between people, about being kind or unkind. But the main thing is that all these stories are about looking the bright side in every situation. Do you think it's a good idea to read this book?
Author Cinta Garcia has written one of the most charming, exciting books you will find. Her ability to create characters is incredible. You will love Little Nani, you will laugh with the caffeine addicted zombie, you may even cry for the double-faced boy. But, you will find funny, sweet adventures in all of them with wonderful lessons such as environmentalism and being kind to one another.
The illustrations by Almudena Romero are breathtaking as well. This is a triumph of writing you will foreve Author Cinta Garcia has written one of the most charming, exciting books you will find. This is a triumph of writing you will forever regret missing. You might compare it the Wizard of Oz, but it more than stands apart in its originality. Just don't get hit by the flying muffins. When I first saw the adorable illustrations on the book trailer, I knew I had to buy this book. Now that I've read it, I wish it had been written when I was Little Nani's age eight because I would have loved her zany friends and crazy adventures.
They are fun and imaginative on the same level as stories by Dr. Seuss or Lewis Carroll. I also would have loved adding my drawings to the stories in the spaces provided. I can't wait to give this book to the eight-year-olds in my life.
I thoroughly enjoyed reading these stories about Little Nani and am looking forward to when my grandson is old enough to read it as I think he will love it, and thought the sections where you can draw our own pictures to go with the stories were a brilliant touch as the child can really get involved in the stories. The Funny Adventures of Little Nani is a compilation of ten short stories. I never had the chance to read and review a children's book, that is why I didn't expect to enjoy it this much.
Little Nani is a little girl with a magic wand that tries to help her friends, but every time she tries to use magic to do so everything goes wrong, although not every time the wrong result is necessary the bad one. She is willing to be friends with everyone and she wants to help at every step, although she is not that good at listening to her friends.
She, like most kids her age doesn't have the patience to solve problems the classic way, that is why she owns a magic wand, but even so she doesn't know how to use all the spells. She is very funny when she thinks that no one listens and understands her because she constructs her sentences in a logical way. Yet, my favorite character was one of Nani's friends, Horse. Horse is a real bookworm; he reads all the time and often asks for more books and he tries to show to Little Nani when she chooses the wrong way to solve things. He did try to get Nani to read, but she is more interested in playing and exploring.
She soon finds out that the owner is in fact a ghost and tries to hide. I think I liked this very much because Nani was able to cast the right spell and helped Mr. Bookaboo to chat with Horse without leaving his bookstore. The Little Adventures of Little Nani besides having the funniest stories and the most adorable witch is also an interactive book. Every story has two tasks in which the reader is asked to draw the scene they just read. I tried to draw one, but I am not very good at it so you won't see it, but the book has very pretty illustrations which everyone will just love.
The adventures of the main character are both simple and delightful. I like that even when they are separated stories, there is a junction between them. Little Nani is not perfect, but she tries to be better, and in this trying is where the adventures happen. Las aventuras de la protagonista son sencillas, pero encantadoras. Little Nani no es perfecta, pero intenta ser mejor, y es en ese intento, cuando ocurren sus peripecias. This is my first review for a children's book, so I hope I do it justice. Little Nanni is a delightful book about a little girl who took an email course on how to be a witch. The small detail is that she might have not passed her course so her magic spells don't quite work as she likes.
This is how we embark on her adventures and we meet Big Billy and Skinny Nikki, "her first "casualties". Her gang of friends keep growing and become quite the posse. She keeps trying her magic and keeps not having This is my first review for a children's book, so I hope I do it justice. She keeps trying her magic and keeps not having very successful results but her positive attitude and shiny personality do not weather.
I also loved how the author intersected drawing pauses in the story and let kids put into paper what they are imagining while reading the story. I think each child at the end of the book will have their own Little Nanni book to revisit for years to come. In all, there are 10 short stories that are adequate for children of all ages. We meet a horse that loves to read, the word fastest turtle or so he thought! I enjoyed the reference to classics that might spike the curiosity of young readers , the sassy personalities and the original stories.
This is, for sure, a book any child will relish as well as the adults that might partake in the wonderful experience that is reading to them. But I joined anyway, because friends help each other. Well, now I have to say… I soo loved this book! It was exactly what I needed. Because I am a teenager. All we usually do is read about hot guys such as Max Irons.
Not in my case, It seems. I needed this book. It relaxed me, it made me laugh, it made me remember my childhood. It made my day better and it put a smile on my face for the entire day. Nani is one of the funniest character ever! Her personality was so cool and she was such a sweet girl.
I absolutely loved her. I loved the illustrations. They are so pretty! And I read this book in only 3 hours. J I definitely recommend this book. Parents, go buy this book and read it to your kids. They will have a blast! I enjoyed reading about all the mischief that Little Nani got herself into. What with the help of her friends, Skinny Nikki, Big Billy, and horse. Yes, the mischief I was talking about with Little Nani involves her and her magic wand. You see, Little Nani is a witch in training.
Review: The Funny Adventures of Little Nani by Cinta García de la Rosa | Self-Publishing Review
Only Little Nani does not have the patience to learn how to perform spells properly. So she ends up turning her friends into ostriches, chickens into penguins, and so forth. I loved the names of the different people that Little Nani encountered on her many adventures. What I found really great about this book is that there were many blank pages through out the book. These pages were for the reader to draw with their own imagination the scene that was happening at that moment in the story. This was good because it helped to make this book very interactive. Kids of all ages will have a good time with this book.
It will bring the inner child out again in all of us. Children with wide imaginations!
Review: The Funny Adventures of Little Nani by Cinta García de la Rosa
The Funny Adventures of Little Nani is a charming collection of short stories for children. I really like the quirkiness of Little Nani's world, and how she views the world in her own inimitable manner. She uses her mishaps with magic to teach her young readers a lesson as she entertains them with vivid scenes of mayhem. The illustrations are quite beautifully done, and I loved the interactive nature of the book: I found this utterly delightful as a way to allow her readers to connect to the stories.
The only reason I did not give this book a full 5 stars is that some of the writing needed a bit of editing. Cinta Garcia, who is not a native English speaker, demonstrates great knowledge of her second language, but there are a few expressions that need to be polished or altered for the dialogue to flow more naturally. That said, I was completely charmed by the whimsical stories and loved reading them!
The author readily engages the reader to the point of visualizing the magical spells taking place through her descriptive prose. This is an excellent choice and a wonderful opportunity to teach your children and have fun all at the same time. I also bought a Kindle edition. I enjoyed Reading about Little Nani with all her hilarious characters. I like that the book is interactive. She's tries so hard to perfect her spells with her little wand.
She took online classes but just can't seem to get them right. She has a feisty attitude , but tries to help everyone as only Little Nani can. She teaches lessons on how to be nice to every creature or person she comes across. The characters and their costumes are clearly visible with all her beautiful illustrations. Come alon I enjoyed Reading about Little Nani with all her hilarious characters.

My children are now nearly grown up, and so have passed beyond the allure of this phenomenal book. But I can remember when they were wee things, barely more than bright eyes and tufts of hair poking up beneath their blankets as I struggled each night to tell them stories that they would always remember.
I needed to tell my girls fanciful stories of wise Nani.

This is more than just a book of children's stories - it can be a companion for any child, completely self-contained with imagination and activities.
Although I missed my chance for my own daughters to delight in Little Nani, I am keeping the book somewhere safe.
