There is deceit, romance, friendship, fear, anger and many more emotions in the story. She learns Who she can always trust and how He has never left her alone. God is on her side and she now has His peace back in her life. Dylan has remained strong in his faith, even after Angelina left him and his career took a serious hit. His dependence on God is what gets him through every day.

Angelina Baroni had runout on her protection before she could testify against her father. She felt the US Marshal who was protecting her was instead in the pay of her Father. She felt she was better off on her own. Perhaps after hearing she had fled the protection of the Marshals, her Father would decide she was not going to testify and instead leave her alone. She is back in custody with the Marshal she distrusts. They managed to keep her alive as they moved her from the hospital to a safe house.
Angelina knew she had betrayed and hurt Dylan when she ran the first time so she warned him she would try to leave on her own if she had the chance. Can the Marshalls keep Angelina safe or is there a mole in their own organization?

Then again, seeing him all wrapped up like a papoose in a blue blanket with teddy bears on it, dark hair waving across his scalp, lashes fine as spider webs laying on fat pink cheeks, he could see how a mother might think he was. One tiny hand had managed to break free of the swaddling blanket and was splayed over one cheek, wrinkly fingers spread wide.
He reached out with one finger and touched the hand. Instantly, the fingers moved…curled… It reminded him of the way a sea anemone contracted when you poked it with your finger. The pink mouth contracted, too, drawing up into a tight little bud, and the forehead wrinkled into an infant version of a frown. What the hell am I doing? He jerked his hand back, turned and tiptoed quickly across the room and through the French doors. Rachel was in the courtyard, standing by the fountain.
