His dependence on God is what gets him through every day.

Angelina Baroni had runout on her protection before she could testify against her father. She felt the US Marshal who was protecting her was instead in the pay of her Father. She felt she was better off on her own. Perhaps after hearing she had fled the protection of the Marshals, her Father would decide she was not going to testify and instead leave her alone. She is back in custody with the Marshal she distrusts. They managed to keep her alive as they moved her from the hospital to a safe house.

Angelina knew she had betrayed and hurt Dylan when she ran the first time so she warned him she would try to leave on her own if she had the chance. Can the Marshalls keep Angelina safe or is there a mole in their own organization?

Then again, seeing him all wrapped up like a papoose in a blue blanket with teddy bears on it, dark hair waving across his scalp, lashes fine as spider webs laying on fat pink cheeks, he could see how a mother might think he was. One tiny hand had managed to break free of the swaddling blanket and was splayed over one cheek, wrinkly fingers spread wide.
