It is an excellent book and backs up everything with scripture. This book is humorous and easy to read and tells the truth in a non condemning way. I bought Liberated through Submission because a friend recommended it. I have never seen another book on this subject that is handled so truthfully. It covers submission for married women, singles and what men's role is. My husband is reading it next. I am not finished but I do like the content this far.

Wilson has a great sense of humor and her insights about submission have been very helpful to us. We all have to submit to authority every day of our lives - first of all to God - and then to those above us. It is not a rigid, legalistic kind of submission, but a loving, respectful and honoring attitude toward our husbands that is so helpful.
She cites several situations where there could be problems and gives insightful wisdom as to how to deal with these.

I am so thankful for this little book. By putting her suggestions into practice with the help of the Lord , our marriage has grown "sweeter as the days go by" and that is not just a trite saying! God has given us 60 years together and as we have tried to follow the Bible's wisdom, even though failing often, we have grown in our love for each other. My husband read this book too and we both feel it changed our lives significantly and we thank our Lord for it.

It make you return back to how God originally design it! Great book for anyone interested in maintaining a healthy Christian marriage. Liberated does a great job of explaining role of the wife and the husband and how those roles came to be from the Genesis story.
For feminists focused on "equality" this book is not for you. Marriage is for grown adults who want to be a part of a successful team. There is no equality on a team. Each individual has a role, a job. Each individual has to do that job for the team to be successful. The roles are not "equal". This is a must read for couples considering marriage and couples who are already married but are struggling to understand the marriage dynamic.
