Now engaged to the bitchy but beautiful Melinda, Kieran finds himself drowning in a pit of self-pity and alcohol and loathing Cara is also engaged, but breaking up with Kieran all those years ago has always been a deep regret, and damn if she can find it in her to give a shit when he makes her feel like a albeit drunk goddess.

In addition to the fact that he can't stop thinking and drooling over his ex-girlfriend, Kieran's life is quickly spiraling out of control. Too much time on his hands has him drinking himself into a constant stupor and falling into some really self-destructive bad habits. Join the Love family as they take on this most recent challenge of supporting one of their own. As a huge fan of Ms. Crowe, I devour anything of hers I can get my hands on, and while this series isn't exactly my favorite, I can't deny that her "Romance for Real Life" writing style has me up all hours of the day and night devouring her stories as fast as I can.

My main issue with this series is the seriously obscene amount of unremorseful cheating! And that everyone is more or less A-Ok with it in the end which seems totally non "real life" to me, BTW. Crowe's writing style isn't for the faint of heart or those who want a light frothy read. You'll get "the feels" from page one, start rooting for SOMEONE by page 10, cry by page 60, laugh at 70, throw your ereader by 90 and at the end, if you're not too mentally and emotionally spent, you'll say brava Jan 08, books are love rated it really liked it.

To top it off his ex-girlfriend who he loved since high school the one that dumped him in college and said he was nothing to her is marrying someone else and he still loves her. That is not the strangest part of that tale. This comes out at the wedding or non wedding and this is when Kieran and Dominic declare their love. Kieran outwardly to his ex. Dominic in a show of strength and courage one that Kieran is proud of. This story entails these two brothers and how they are dealing with their spiralling life. Dominic with heartache and accepting who he is. Kieran with trying to start over and live with the fact he loves Cara his ex from college.

Unfortunately for Dominic he intertwines in the story for both Kieran and Cara. You will feel so much for Dominic especially at the end. What he goes through and is trying to come to terms with just will break your heart. And when Kent finally accepts and comes to terms with who his heart really wants it may be too late. I do hope that works out.

I love Cara in this story at the end with Kieran. He keeps having to ask her for her hand and go through hurdles. She accepts and loves unconditionally and I hope she can help keep this family together with that ending. I love Kieran and his support and love for Dominic as well. A wonderfully written story of love and acceptance.

I was provided an early reader copy of this book and I know that editing is still in progress. Afterwards, there is an all-out war type of basketball game between the brothers and no one leaves without at least a bruise or more. Of the four sons there is the oldest one who watches over everyone, the second is the athlete and peacemaker, the third is the bad boy with various issues and works in the brewery, and the baby brother who spent many years in higher education and becoming a writer.

Kieran is the second son and the peacemaker. There are a lot of changes with his career and love life and I empathized with his pain and trying to find his way. This series is different from other Liz Crowe books and where a broader range of readers would enjoy the stories. With the sons, you have the love, loyalty, fighting, and competition. Liz provides a HEA, even though it might not be the one you expect. Mar 02, Maria's Book Blog rated it really liked it. I enjoyed this one the most out of books , even though the whole cheating theme was still very much present. I felt like Ms. Crowe brought more than enough to the table to compensate and I found myself completely invested in this story and curious about the direction it was going in. Coach Love (Love Brothers, #2) by Liz Crowe

All of which will keep you on the edge of your seat until the very end. And OMG what an ending! Allow me to backtrack a bit Keiran and Cara are high school sweethearts. Because they're still pining after each other and their failed relationship. For all intents and purposes he seems pretty amazing, the perfect catch. Although the saying "it's too good to be true" rings very true in this situation.

But that's something I'll let you figure out on your own. The fact that all of Keiran's life plans seem to be crumbling, one right after another is what I think brought him back to the original source of his heartbreak So now, even more than before, he can't get her out of his mind.

Cara is aware she made a bad decision in ending things with Keiran, but her relationship with Kent is too far along to go and end it all. I love that the family dynamics are still going strong in this second installment, and that the dual POV is still present. The writing is pretty much on point and the story flows well. Kieran's life seemed to be going so well in high school until he was painfully dumped by his true love Cara.

Just when he finally seems to have gotten his life back together with a new love he's reunited with his old love which leads to some painful decisions for everyone. Kieran was always seen as the perfect son but his cheating in this story tarnished that image for me, but with Ms. Crowe's impressive writing skills she still makes him likable and had me rooting for his HEA throughout all the ups and downs. Cara always knew she'd made a mistake dumping Kieran but moved on to find a man she cares about with a life of contentment.

Seeing Kieran again has her doubting her happiness though and with old feelings intensifying she reconnects with him despite all the pain it leads to. Cara's a likable woman doing something that I find disappointing, but Ms. Crowe makes her a multi-dimensional character whose acts are understandable in her quest for true happiness. The people in this story are flawed, they don't always do the right thing but they go with their heart despite everything. Their imperfections are what pull you in as we see the grey side of life depicted. Family plays a large part in this story and are equally realistic as they're sometimes overbearing and say the wrong thing.

They're loyal though and always there when needed. Amidst the romantic drama surrounding Kieran and Cara is the emotional struggle weighing on Dominic. His pain is palpable and I'm even more drawn to him in anticipation of his story arriving next. Feb 20, Deanndra Hall rated it really liked it. This is the second in the love Brothers series, and I leaped into it with both feet.

This book brings us the story of Kieran, the star athlete of the family until an injury removes him from basketball permanently. He returns to the family fold and a job he enjoys, but life throws him more than his share of curveballs. The best part of the whole book, for me anyway, was watching the situation with Kent as it twisted and morphed heading into his wedding to Cara and the depth it adds to the storyline. Jan 06, Sportochick rated it really liked it Shelves: The author really created a hands down not nice character in Melinda that both men and women can relate to.

Crowe wrote her as being very strong and at the same time weak. Kieran is someone that I really relate to. It is hard trying to always be the good, perfect son. I love how his mentally falling apart because of his job situation and damaged body was written. It showed angst as well as the despair that there is no solution. At least he better or I will always wonder what happened next. Ironic that she happens to be his physical therapist.

Yes even more complications she is engaged to a lawyer. This relationship actually creates a very shocking ending to this book. I predicted part of the ending but no way did it come about as I thought and I really loved the impact of the events that left me with no solution for one and a HEA for another. I am looking forward to the next book and kudos to the author! This book really was a much smoother read than the first book to this series. I give this 4 stars. This book seems a little tamer with the sleeping around that dominated the first books story line. Still has enough sex and I am beginning to think all the brothers are dogs and will have sex with anyone. The grist of the story is wonderful. You find yourself picking sides and hoping this one will finally get the one they want. Dominic was the wild card.

I can't say I didn't see it coming but on the flip side I didn't think I was right. There are enough hints to make you guess but then he does something totally different that you think ok maybe I am wrong. The author wrote a unique story about Love brother number two, and everything that has been happening to him since his basketball career ended, as well as everything going on with the rest of the Love Family and their said drama. This is an amazing family, that rally's around their parents and each other in everyday life and everything else in between. Read this book, it will make you laugh, cry, sigh a lot, shake your head often and cum a lot! I loved reading book one and now book two and I can't wait to read book three.

MJ Fields write an amazing book. She takes raw emotion and emotional attachment to a book to a while new level. This book was raw, emotional, and passionate. My favorite character is Tessa. I loved her and yet I hated her. She was so selfless and caring and amazing. I hated Her because I would have done the same thing in her shoes but at the same time I wanted her to be selfish and get what she wanted. Lucas oh my, he is what I would have imagined. But man of man is he one mixed up boy. I wanted to hate him and I wanted Tessa to hate him but I just couldn't.

This book sent me on an emotional rice I won't soon forget. It's a must read and I have read it twice since yesterday. Ok so after reading it I felt confused and annoyed it's one of those books I just have to finish but wish u didn't but u also want to know what happens next I liked Tessa at first but then she just kept changing her mind on things I mean it's understandable since she's a teenager but really she seemed strong and also weak I didn't get how Lucas kept saying he loved her but kept hurting her if u really love someone u don't cheat in them I don't think they make a good couple at all seems more like reality tv I wish Tessa would get over it stop trying to take care of ppl and take care of herself she should get with Toby.

Each page will make you want to read what will be happening next. One person found this helpful. I am very flabbergasted by this book. There are many inconsistencies with this book. First she is 18 and a legal adult but her parents treat her like a child. Her mother makes decisions for her which wouldn't occur because again she is I'm confused on her forgiveness of the intrusions and the relationship between them is not healthy at all. They are making immature decisions twitch not all of the information.

Also where are the adults thata re supposed to be supporting these teenagers. This is just a lot to take in. See all reviews. I also felt the plot created new obstacles and resolved them at a rushed pace.

I also found the grammatical errors frustrating, although not overtaking. A re-edit would resolve the issues easily. I would have appreciated a more fleshed-out handling of how these two fit into the story, rather than something that felt rushed to pull or push them out of the storyline. It is very clear that in order to understand the complex relationships and references in Unexpected Love, you need to know the back-story of the other couples, namely Sean and Beth and Darren and Courtney. I found myself getting frustrated because I wanted to understand the nuances of character behaviors, responses and descriptions of previous events.

Ryan Millen, a NICU nurse, is enjoying his life as a bachelor and doting uncle to his nieces-to-be when an unexpected surprise is dropped in his lap. A firm believer in always wrapping it up, Ryan's unprepared for a woman he can't remember to claim he fathered her child - the one she is trying to put up for adoption. When Sean and Beth talk Ryan into bringing the baby home, Ryan is thrust into the world of single daddy duty with no clue what to do when it's his own child who needs him. Lynn, Russ' Courtney's manny sister, is a nurse who is drowning in debt thanks to her ex and is unable to find a job.

When an unexpected opportunity comes her way, she snatches it up in order to help pay her bills. When the two find themselves no longer unable to deny what lies between them, a wrench is thrown into their way. Will they be able to survive it or will they walk away broken hearted? Once again Casey Clipper has delivered a captivating book that holds your attention from the very beginning. If you love alpha males or ex-military men, this series is for you! Every male character in Clipper's series comes off as very alpha male and the strong protector types.

Coach Love

Ryan who is thrust into the single daddy role has problems adjusting, but undergoes a tremendous amount of growth from the beginning to the end of the book. Lynn also undergoes some personal growth of her own. My only complaint is how suddenly Ryan's one night stand reappears and the way the situation is resolved. The same goes with Lynn's ex. It seems that these characters were kind of just thrown in and the story lines were a bit rushed.

Other than that, I loved the book and the bits where Sean, Beth, and Courtney were thrown in. Jul 30, Kim rated it liked it Shelves: This one was okay but nowhere near as good as the first one. I was bored to death for about the first 17 chapters honestly. I mean I don't care about reading how many times a baby eats, how long it sleeps, or how much it shits in my romance novels. It was just way too much and it drug out way too long for me. Then he and Lynn hook up suddenly, bam everything is great.

I understood Ryan's struggle, well other than his whoring around, but it just made him seem like a wimp. I can understand how he This one was okay but nowhere near as good as the first one. I can understand how he felt being forced into a situation he never wanted but man up about it.

I still liked him but he was nowhere near the man his brother was in his book. One thing I did feel was like jumping in my Kindle and stabbing Courtney repeatedly. For the love you selfish twat can you not do the one simple thing Sean asks and stay away! I mean call, send cards, send letters but stop being an obnoxious meddling twat. I hated Derk in this one until he somewhat redeemed himself at the end.

But with what is sure to be enough Courtney to make me want to gauge my eyes out as well as some mentions of his story having a "not traditional HEA", after this one I think I will hold off and maybe come back to it. I have had all that is the character of Courtney I can stand after these two and the only way I think I will ever like Derk is if he ends up with the wife, picket fence, and at the very least a dog I am fine with no kids but short of that I don't think I will care about his story at all.

I was really excited about this series but I am thinking the first book is the only one that will be a read I truly enjoy. Nov 09, Imani rated it did not like it. It's just a pet peeve of mine when characters from a former book are too involved in the story line. Saw way too much of sean and his wife and their opinions and everybody else's damn opinion on Ryan's situation and I was only at the beginning of the story. So yeah I didn't finish it cause I was tired of seeing all these other people and I didn't find them likable.

Mar 16, DemetraP rated it it was ok. It was just ok. I give the author credit for writing a book about a baby and having most of the book take place with bottles and diaper changes and screaming fits. The heroine is the baby's nanny. Overall, I didn't like the plotline. Nov 12, Joanne Swinney rated it it was amazing. I knew from book one in this series that I was going to be hooked. I would say that you could read each book as a standalone because each story is based around one of the main characters, but to enjoy the full experience of this fantastic storytelling series, I would advise starting at the beginning.

This book is about I knew from book one in this series that I was going to be hooked. This book is about Ryan Millen, the twin brother of Sean who I read about in book one. God, I just knew his story was going to be swoon worthy. No ties, just simple fun going from one partner to another. Everyone deals with situations, and events in their lives differently. Lynn is on the right place at the right time some might say. Entering the Murphy family can be dangerous. Lynn and Ryan both seek something neither can really admit to needing.

Relationships are never without certain complications, and Ryan most definitely has complications in his life. Danger, love, amazing sex. This story has it all. I would definitely recommend you read this series. Dec 15, ByoBook Club rated it really liked it Shelves: Another Millen brother meets his match! The author provides another well-written and heat-laced story with real characters that are struggling with issues we can all relate to. Financial obligations and family responsibilities are no strangers to most of us. While I may not have learned everything I wanted to about the main characters in this installment the story was interesting and had me hooked to the end. Embarrassed by her situation, she vows never to become dependent on a man again. This is the first thing I have ever read by Casey and I have to say she is an awesome author. I loved all the characters. It seems all the secondary characters were just as important to the story as the main characters.

I really liked watching him "grow up" and become the father he should have started out to be.

I absolutely fell in love with Lynn. She is not afraid to put any man in his place and she is smart and very witty. What a perfect female character to the playboy manwhore that Ryan is. Seriously who the hell is Derrick??? And what happened between Sean and Courtney??? I feel like he needed to try a bit harder than just jumping her. What happened to Robert??? I enjoyed this book but I think I would have loved it if I was privy to more info about the other characters. Yes this book was about Ryan and Lynn but Sean, Beth, Derrick and Courtney featured heavily and not having any idea what happened between these couple left me feeling a bit disconnected.
