When someone asks about it I can mention the plight of the monarchs. Tough choice between the earrings and the wood carvings. I picked the carvings because the were the most unique gift idea and would work for males as well as females. My choice would be the earrings, because they are educational and a great teaching tool, even though way out of my price range. I am conflicted with the other items because even though very artistic, might encourage less ethical collectors to collect and pin up the real thing! Animals bring laughter, but I bet the pets would rather be playing ball than posing with coats and props for a photo.

I have learned a great deal from this website, and share it. I encourage many folks to grow special milkweed for monarchs in Western Oregon. I love the wood carving — the very first one. I love all of these things and have a hard time choosing just one. Thank you for sharing these beautiful pieces of art! I want to say first that I absolutely love the butterfly gift ideas. My second choice would be the 3-D Butterfly Wall Art. This would go great in a kitchen, living room or study. Butterflies always bring a sense of peace and calm to any area.

Last, but definitely not least. The Monarch Chrysalis earrings by Jude Rose are definitely a conversation piece. You could wearing them with a nice evening dress and be the talk of the room. What great gift ideas! I think my favorite is the shirt because my 3 year old would want to wear it every day.

Thank you for all the helpful information about butterflies. Such talent to create such works of art! This summer was my first time raising butterflies. I had 14 catapillars but only 9 survived. It was amazing to watch them turn into butterflies. I would chose the chrysalis earnings as my favorite.

I like earrings no one else has. These are really beautiful. I love the beautiful butterfly t-shirt by Kathy Morton Stanion. I live in Florida, where it is warm almost all year, and I can wear my t-shirt all year round and tell people that I raise these beautiful Monarch butterflies. I have succefully released 11 so far this year and keep finding more eggs in my garden. I think I will need to order more plants as I am running out of plants to feed them. I have taken tons of pictures of my Monarchs in my garden and every stage of their development from eggs to releasing them. They are really awesome!

I love my Monarch Butterflies. Day three butterflies 3D is absolutely gorgeous. They are beautiful, life-like and wonderful full-time reminders. I vote for the butterfly carvings. I vote for the wood carvings.

They look so real, and both men and women would love them. Most of the other gifts would appeal only to women. I so love the chrysalis earings. Everyone would ask what it is and i could tell them all about the Monarchs. Think of the wonderful decorating possibilities with the 3D Butterfly wall art! My favorite is 3 monarch wall art. I liked them because I give tours of our local historic home Casa Romantica butterfly garden and tell people they look like jade jewels trimmed in gold. I now have a place to recommend. We milkweeds seeds have sprouted in record time 6 days — remember I am in sunny Tampa Florida.

I soaked them in water for 24 hours before planting and covered my trays with plastic wrap until the little guys start sprouting. They are still in my greenhouse and growing slowly but happily. It is a difficult choice so I decided to purchase the beautiful handmade shirt by Kathy Morton Stanion, truly one of a kind gift to myself now and forwarded the information for the earrings and pendants to my husband for him to give me for Christmas. They are so true to life and represent the Monarch with such beauty, grace and perfection. I always look forward to your e-letters but I must say, this is by far the most fun.

In fact, I had actually ordered and am anxiously awaiting these beauties from Heidi just days before you first shared them with us. These monarchs can fly freely throughout my house without any danger from my feline cats. I love the wood carvings, especially of the Monarch. But since I am a sucker for tee shirts, that is a close second!

I have not been successful in raising Monarchs yet, but am still trying. I did see two or three at my milkweed this year, so am hopeful and love receiving your emails for guidance. My favorite gift idea is the chrysalis pendant with earrings, if price was no object. So I keep a Wish List…. Day 4, the chrysalis earrings, is my first vote because this is my first year to be an eyewitness to the process of a Monarch chrysalis and saw 6 chrysalis in my own yard reach maturity after planting butterfly milkweed.

It was a very enlightening experience and something that I will continue to pursue. I sat one day for a couple of hours waiting for one to evolve. I even want to get a greenhouse especially for raising Monarchs. I have been in many discussions, since discovering this amazing process, on the importance of planting milkweed. I became interested when watching the Flight of the Butterflies at the St. My second vote is Day 6, the chrysalis cookies. A great holiday conversation piece that looks and probably is delicious. I really like the vibrant colors for the holidays.

They are so realistic looking and is a subject that is very close to my heart,. They could be used for many occasions. Anything that makes me laugh is a gift itself! The cookie artwork is my favorite. The art work on the cookies is vibrant and beautiful. Paint that on a Christmas ornament and it will last year after year. The shirt is pretty cool. The wood carving of the Monarch is going on my wish list this year. It is absolutely beautiful and would bring to life all year one of my passions — rearing Monarchs!

But then, the t-shirt is a perfect gift for my sister who also raises these beauties. I like the wood carvings from day 1 the best. They are very realistic looking and would look great as a decoration in the house. I have been captivated by butterflies since I was a tiny girl. This year I began raising Monarch caterpillars in order to help increase their population. It has been an awesome experience of the miracles of God creations. Day 5 gift is my favorite of the first six gift ideas. I ordered one for me as well as a Frog pendant from the same seller for my BFF of over 40 years.

I am truly honored and excited! There are so many great gifts here for the butterfly lover to choose from! I agree with many of the others that the earrings are a wonderful way to start an educational conversation. And their uniqueness is something sought after by many. Beautiful and inspiring — perfect!
