I had never heard of the Battle of Raymond before, which I guess really happened. I think I would like to read more about the battle sometime. I loved how protective Alexander was of Sam Susanna eventually most of the men traveling with them, grew protective of her. To make a long story short, I recommend this book to everyone. One person found this helpful. The punctuation, the miss spelled words, and words that were put backwards in sentence made it difficult at best to read Doesn't anyone proof read these books?????
I was appalled and wish I had my money back!!!! I don't think I have ever stopped reading a book - still thinking about whether I should finish. Started out good, but then it just seemed like things kept getting repeated and then everytime you turned around they were telling the girl what to do, seemed like she couldn't accomplish anything without someone telling her what to do.
I gave this book five stars because it was a wonderful story and so well written.
ENCYCLOPEDIA
However there were many spelling and grammar errors. The whole book was also written as one paragraph and made reading a little difficult at times. The use of an editor would be helpful. Anyone that likes history during the Civil War will love this book. I have always liked reading about that period of our time. This really gives the a great rendition of what the people had to endure. I enjoyed the story however the spelling errors and grammatical errors were terribly distracting.
Someone needs to make these corrections. Not a book you just can't put down. I haven't really gotten into it. Should have been proofread and edited better.
AEOLUS (Aiolos) - Greek God King of the Winds
There were a lot of grammatical and spelling errors. That being said, I loved the book and couldn't put it down.

Read this memorable series probably in the 's finding it the series and all of its books so wonderful that all these year later I recalled the authors name and the titles! The characters were well developed through the series as they matured and aged from young girls left on their own, to young women faced with some horrors of being without male protection, to young marrieds, young mothers, grandmothers, and matriarchs with extended families of their own.
