Obviously I would never do any of these things. I have a friend who does.

She's also writing this review. I am not a weird person at all. Nobody can prove anything. It is not particularly And yes, this includes BBC! Aramis I should clarify: There is no actual red line in the book.

Editorial Reviews

With the exception of Mazarin there are almost no recurring characters, people appear for a few pages if they're female d'Artagnan sleeps with them, if they're male they get angry at him for sleeping with their wives and are never seen or even mentioned again. For a Musketeer-geek it's still interesting to see where Dumas got his inspiration from.

Though if you expect this book to be a less polished version of The Three Musketeers you will also be disappointed. In the first quarter there is some stuff that will be familiar: Not much swashbuckling adventures, no secret letters that have to be delivered But if you're enough of a nerd this is just the book for you at least my friend says so.

This historical novel is largely based on true stories and tells the tale of the adventures of the three musketeers Aramis, Athos and Porthos, together with a fourth musketeer called d'Artagnan Their motto in the battle for King Louis XIII against Cardinal Richelieu and the Count of Rochefort is certainly familiar to anyone: Feel the spirit of d'Artagnan Here in the Gers Gascony is d'Artagnan still one of the most important and heroic historical personalities. D'Artagnan museum in Lupiac And in Lupiac where d'Artagnan was born, there is a small museum entirely dedicated to d'Artagnan as well as an annual local festival celebrating the musketeers.
