Unsure with her new place in the worlds, Willa must follow the Abcurses to their new post: Champions Peak, a secluded mountain far from civilization, where the most powerful sols have been summoned to hone their abilities through direct contact with the gods. There is a chance that she might survive her time on the mountain, but it seems like staying alive amidst the powerful occupants of the Peak is the least of her concerns.

These books are like crack???
XD Some sort of insane, ridiculous crack that makes you roll your eyes and love it at the same time? Shhh the reason I love this series so much and why I'm able to forgive all of its faults: I'm so happy it happened but hell did it have to be so short??? View all 12 comments. Mar 30, Sh3lly grumpybookgrrrl rated it really liked it Shelves: We do get more answers and there are some really funny moments. I like the developments with the Neutral God, Emmy, and finally finding out kinda sorta what Willa is.
The Abcurses are still as hot as ever. The gods and sols are still as big of a-holes as ever. The plot with the betas supposedly teaching the strongest sols of their energies didn't seem to go anywhere. Except to further show the Abcurses seriously don't give a batootie about literally anyone else except Willa and maybe their parents, Mom more than Dad, and Emmy only because Willa cares. I would suggest more sex in the next one, although this one did not disappoint.
These are not smutty books, but the steam is kicking up. Still a favorite series, but not quite five stars for me. Waiting for this book is going to kill me. View all 10 comments. Curse you all for being so protective and caring towards Willa! If not early next year! View all 4 comments. Jan 29, Maria Dimitrova rated it liked it Shelves: I read the previous 3 books in one sitting and by the end of Seduction I was feeling the burnout but at the same time I was elated. So while the bigger part of me wanted Strength to come out asap, there was a tiny part that felt relieved that I'll have some time away from Willa.
She can be extremely annoying but also charming in her flightiness. One of the things I foun Actual rating: One of the things I found most charming about her was that Willa reminded me of Charley Davidson and to an extend that likeness defined what I expected of Willa. I never expected Willa to become a serious character or for her incessant inner chatter to disappear. However, I expected a marked character development in any direction. Willa is precisely the same, personality wise, character she was in Trickery.
And after 4 books it's no longer endearing. The Abcurses are also starting to get on my nerves. Good looks and washboard abs can get you so far. After that you need to show some character and maybe a little bit of brains. Because muscles and superpowers are good but damn when all your enemies also have them you need that extra edge a couple of brain cells can provide. But what really pissed me off was that there was almost no development plot-wise.
I mean we only have one book left and we're practically nowhere. Sure most of it is because Willa's too scatterbrained to actually do something with the information in her possession but damn I expected a lot more development. At this point the next book will have to be pages long just to answer all the questions and that's without the added pages of Willa's ramblings. Talking about her ramblings I'll share one of my favourite moments of the book - it's at the very end so don't open the spoiler tag if you haven't finished the book.
Pica might be a tad crazier than Willa but she's just as random and chatty. I actually feel bad for the Abcurses knowing that they'll have to deal with both Willa and Pica's craziness for awhile. There were a lot of clues and I've started putting the pieces together. With the new info I'm pretty sure that some of my previous theories are correct but with such a random character one can never know.

So while I was disappointed by this book I'm looking forward to the last instalment. View all 6 comments. I have waited for what seems like eons for this book, I read the entire series over and over again like an addict wanting her fix. When this was released I immediately downloaded it, first mistake, I should have waited until September at least so I'd have just one month until Pain but I caved after three days which makes me pretty patient in the grand scheme of things. I am a champ.

Lol Emmy and Cyrus? It was worth the wait. It was entertaining and hilarious. I almost died laughing. Here are my favorite parts: You might get pregnant Waiting another ten days is driving me nuts. I never read a book twice, but this series broke my sanity. I feel like having withdrawal symptoms from addiction. I, so, totally need this. Crap, my patience is driving me cray-cray!

I highly recommend this book. This book will be published on November 6, Nov 11, Fiction Aficionado rated it it was amazing Shelves: What a roller-coaster ride! The emotions, the tension, the action—it was up, down, around, and loop-the-loop all the way through this story.
And Pete and Jess—ahhh! Heart in a tangle! Given the author is Susan May Warren, I should have known better than to doubt. This was absolutely riveting from the first page to the last. It had the harrowing man vs nature suspen What a roller-coaster ride! It had the harrowing man vs nature suspense that I have loved so much about this series, with the added thrill of knowing that someone was out there after them. And remember those loop-the-loops I mentioned? Yeah, there were a few times I really did get thrown for a loop and had everything I thought I knew turned on its head. And concern for Jess is a pretty big spark!
Underpinning it all is a message about reckless, undeserved love: I received a copy of this novel from the publisher. This has not influenced the content of my review, which is my honest and unbiased opinion.
Oct 21, Mara rated it it was amazing. Thank you Susan May Warren for the blessing of this book. But when Jess's old life came back to haunt her she decided it was time to go home and try to fix what she felt she destroyed When Jess left, Pete felt the air leave his lungs and life permanently. He followed her NYC and tried to convince her to return to Montana and asked her to marry him.
She said yes but not yet. She needed to try and help her family heal. While there he met Felipe'. Soon after he read in the paper that they were engaged. But Pete was not willing to give up on their love yet. He decided to follow Jess and Felipe' to Paris for the new year. When he arrived he tracked them down and was able to persuade Jess to spend some time with him and again he proposed.
Again Jess said not yet. Once again Pete went back to Montana alone. But hopeful that she would come back to him. But there is always hope. When I began the story I thought I would be drawn to them equally but I realized by the end of the story that although both had gone through much growth in all ways my heart fell for Pete. He loved her so completely that he knew he had to reach that point of letting go and letting God take care of her in the hopes that God would give him the desire of his heart.
Nov 22, Denise Hershberger rated it liked it. This was kind of a bittersweet ending to a wonderful series. I'm sad to say goodbye to these characters. I was happy to get closure on many things from this series. Both in love and also in some of the suspense. But to be honest, this wasn't my favorite in the series.
The action wasn't as heart stopping for me this time. But I did love the love story. Pete has always been wonderful and I'm glad he found closure in this book. But it was also hard to know that I was reading the final book in the Montana Rescue series, as I have enjoyed these novels so much. I guess I will just need to go back and enjoy re-reading them in the future! And this is definitely a series that readers should read in its entirety. The individual novels have some continuing situations that are What a wonderful feeling to finish this series, have the answers, and see all of the happily-ever-afters that have built throughout each and every book.
The individual novels have some continuing situations that are not all fully resolved until Wait for Me. I enjoyed this story so much! I liked the way that the author allowed the reader to peek back into the past year and see glimpses of what went right and what went wrong for Jess and Pete. These two went through so much, both physically and emotionally in this story, and both of them had a lot of growing to do! Jess and Pete both learned so much and grew in their walks with God, as well as in their understanding of the love that they had for each other.
In all of the Montana Rescue novels, there have been two love stories going on in each book. Wait for Me was no exception, and I so enjoyed the romance and devotion that developed between Shae and Ned. Their love story was a wonderful addition to the plot. I highly recommend Wait for Me, along with the entire Montana Rescue series. I received a complimentary copy of this book. All opinions are my own. I've been waiting on pins and needles for this book, and am so excited to get my hands on it. The book starts with a bang, slows down with Jess's point of view, then gets exciting again when she ditches Felipe and goes to Montana for a wedding reception. Then things get exciting, scary, and can't put the book down action. Someone is after Jess Ned is certainly not a target but since he is with the two women who are--or might be--he is.
Lost in the wilderness. Multiple life or death injuries. And no clue for the PEAK team to even begin looking for them. This is a page-turner, and I'm sad to see this team go. However I am now excitedly waiting for the beginning of Ms Warren's new series starting next year. You will want to read this series in order, as I said. An awesome series by one of my favorite authors. The Faith message was awesome. For the more conservative readers, there is some smoking, some drinking, and some mentions of one-night-stands and pre-marital sex. I was given a copy free. It actually encouraged me to look up the previous five and add them to my to-be-read mountain of books. Wait For Me had me turning page after page to find out how Pete and Jess will finally end up together and how the new romance between Shae and Ned develops, especially with Shae on the verge of death and with a killer still after her. I love that all the characters are capable, be they men or women.
I love that Felipe is an upstanding guy, that he makes it hard for Jess to choose between him and Pete. Lastly, I love the family and community coming together to help each other out. I highly recommend it. Oct 21, Marylin rated it it was amazing Shelves: Have you ever found yourself lost, struggling, physically or mentally? So many characters in this story have these feelings. There are so many twists and turns it just keeps up until the very end. Pete and Jess are the main characters, yet in this story, we find some many more. They tell different things about rescuers and first defense people and the jobs they do. This book doe This is the last book in the Montana Rescue Series. This book does the same but has a little more suspense than some of the others. What I did not like so much about this book is that there seemed to be a lot of things repeated not just from other books but things in this book itself seemed to be repeated.
I skipped several paragraphs at a time and do not feel like I missed out on anything. The book I received was not final copy so it's hard to comment on the editing, but I can tell you I that this version still needs some work, though not much at all. I am writing this review is my own personal opinion. I was given an advanced readers copy, free of charge with no expectations. I rate the book 4 stars out of 5. Sep 23, Linda Wilson rated it it was amazing. And just when she thinks things couldn't get any worse, she and Esme are taken captive and into the untamed Montana wilderness--with murderous intent.
Pete will have to use everything he's learned to find Jess and Esme--and pray that his past mistakes don't cost him the life of the woman he can't stop loving. What a great ending to the Montana Rescue series. Pete and Jess finally find their happy ending. Of course we knew they would. But the journey was great. This book started with a bang with Pete in a rescue that about cost him his life.
From there the story just keeps getting better. At first I wasn't sure about Jess. She came off as kind of whinny. A lot was explained along the way that helped me understand her situation. Pete was just trying to get over his love for Jess when he hears she's engaged to her former fiancee. There's a lot of action to get Jess and Pete together to show them God's love.
A great book and I highly recommend it. I can't wait for the next series. I wouldn't mind reading books about Ned's family. I received this book as a complimentary copy from the author for an honest review. I was not compensated in any way. Oct 05, Bethel Burton rated it it was amazing.

Susan May Warren designs a spectacular ending to the Montana Rescue series. Not only is the saga of Jess and Pete wrapped, but we learn more about Ned and Shae and previous characters.

I received a complimentary copy of the book without obligation. This review is my opinion. Nov 07, Bhriv rated it it was amazing. Wait for Me, written by Susan May Warren, is a great end to an awesome series!
I've been waiting for Pete's story so was thrilled to be able to read it finally! I thought this writing style was a bit different than previous ones in the series because it had a lot of reminiscing. A lot of filling us in on things that happened between stories to keep us up to date on where their Pete and Jess heads were To say it was an edge of your seat kind of read is staying it mildly!
Warren always has her exciting action scenes top of the line and this one isn't lacking to say the least! How can there not be with Jess and Pete involved? But they grow through it. I admit that I was just a little disappointed in the faith aspect of this one. More like adult-content without being fully sexual. I enjoyed th plotline, and it was definitely suspenseful and we waited to see how it would all unfold. Seeing more of Ned and Shae aka Esme was very nice too; I liked their sidestory a lot! Oct 29, Madison rated it it was amazing Shelves: Wait For Me is the sixth and final book in a series that has given readers so many tense life-and-death situations, challenges, and stories of resilience, survival, faith, second chances and, of course, love.

Bringing the series full circle, Wait For Me finally gives readers the long-awaited story of Pete and Jess - characters whose complicated relationship has been spread throughout the series - as well as a conclusion to the mystery surrounding the disappearance and recent return of Esme Shaw.
It is thrilling, romantic, deeply layered and everything I have come to expect from Warren. But after a year of silence, broken promises to return and news that she is engaged to someone else, Pete knows that it might be time to move on. When Jess makes a surprise return to Montana neither she nor Pete know how to deal with their complicated emotions and tangled story.
Their story, ups and downs, possibilities and near-misses, has been scattered throughout the events of the first five books in the Montana Rescue series. Jess, on the other hand, is a runner. Wait For Me gives Pete and Jess a chance to finally bring everything out into the open, clear up misunderstandings and finally, truly fight for what they both want.
After her disappearance five years ago and staying silent about the crimes she witnessed, Esme has only recently returned to Montana with the intent to bring justice to those who deserve it. But when she, Jess and Ned are kidnapped and find themselves lost in the Montana wilderness, knows she might finally be paying for what she saw. Together, she, Jess and Ned must fight for survival - both from the elements and from the person hunting them. Incredibly strong characters with amazing strength and resilience has always been the thing I have loved most about the Montana Rescue series.
And while Jess longs for rescue throughout the story, she never once gives up or stays down. Bringing the series to a close, Wait For Me has all the romantic tension, tests of survival, and strong camaraderie of all of the books in the Montana Rescue series. I suggest reading the other books in the series before starting Wait For Me, and I can highly recommend each and every one of them. While it is sad to see this series concluded, I have highly enjoyed journeying with these characters.

Find more reviews, reading age guides, content advisory, and recommendations on my blog Madison's Library Nov 12, MJSH rated it it was amazing. Not perfect, but raw and jagged and terrifying and wounding Because love gave all. As always, Susan May Warren packs in action, suspense, harrowing brushes with death and disaster, and quite a few twists and turns in the story to make you stay up way past your bedtime reading And "But perhaps that was what love looked like too.
And the raw emotional intensity of the main characters is completely heart-wrenching and real. If you've read the previous books in the series, you've been impatiently waiting for Pete and Jess to have their story. Even if you haven't read any of the previous books, this particular book can be read as a stand alone because there are many flashbacks that make up the bulk of Pete and Jess' story that even the die-hard followers of the series have not be privy to in the other books. Pete is a changed man and gone are his wild ways.
He's still heroic, protective to a fault, and passionate but he's completely undone and broken and wounded by Jess who has returned to her glamorous lifestyle in NYC. Jess doesn't know who she is or what she wants and feels trapped. Felipe, Jess' previous fiance, actually plays a bigger role in the story than I thought he would and became quite likable even though he's competing against Pete for Jess.
And then there are Ned and Shae. Ned is the younger version of Pete and so incredibly heroic. Shae has finally returned home to Mercy Falls, Montana not just to attend Ben and Kacey's wedding reception but also to find closure in her run from the man who killed her previous boyfriend. Each of these characters must learn to fight their fears to conquer them but also learn to ask for help from their friends, family, and God in conquering these fears.
What a satisfying finale to an adrenaline-packed series full of rescue, grace, hope, love, joy, and faith. I received a copy of the book from Baker Publishing Group via LibraryThing and was under no obligation to post a review. All comments and opinions are solely my own. Both Pete and Jess struggle to overcome circumstances that have kept them apart for more than a year, things well beyond their control and plenty of misunderstandings to keep their feelings at bay.
That is until Jess, Esme, and Ned are run off the road, fight to survive, and are held hostage in a remote cabin in the Montana wilderness where they are forced to meet their problems head-on I've longed for a happily-ever-after for all the characters Warren has introduced to us to from the beginning. I just didn't know what I was in for and what a ride it has been! Not only are there great characters, but more importantly there are deep spiritual truths that God has whispered in my own heart.
It's like finding precious gems the author has hidden for the reader to discover. For example these lines stood out to me: That's what love does right? Shows up and sticks around, even for the hard stuff. The kind of love that forgave and showed up and chased and forgave again and kept showing up, loving her when she didn't have the courage to love back.
