When Boston psychic Lucy Valentine finds herself involved with a group of eccentric mediums trying to fine tune their abilities, she is convinced a rare spring heat wave has flushed all the local crazies out of hiding. Adding to her theory is her newest client in the Lost Loves division of Valentine, Inc. Finding his purrfect match, however, isn't as easy as it seems. With the help of her kooky psychic group, Lucy must tap into hidden abilities to catch the firebug before the fires turn deadly.
She never expected to discover that the motive behind the flames hits a little too close to home May 15, Words: Learn more about Heather Webber. Also by This Author. Readers of This Book Also Read. Enjoy reviewed 71 days after purchase. I really like all the characters, main and secondary, in this series.
And I enjoy witnessing them finding happiness. Lucy is a bit weirded out by her parents new relationship though, and Dottie sure is a grandmother to reckon with. She is spunky and fashionable and meddling and totally loveable. Lucy is a good person, and she does her best to solve the cases she is working on for the police, even though they sometimes break her heart.
It feels good to be able to give closure to a grieving family. Still, she is human and I enjoyed the little revenge she took on Annie Hendrix. I love how she takes in injured animals because her best friend, and vet, asks her.

Like Grendel, her three legged cat who has abandonment issues, and the one eyed hamster. And now she just takes in Ebbie. I do hope Heather Webber will write many more books in this series. The mystery parts are just so very well written, they keep me glued to the pages, but it are the characters who make me love the books.
Feb 24, Samantha rated it really liked it. Sep 14, Jeannie and Louis Rigod rated it it was amazing. We were given the 'George Washington' room and I feel he and Martha would have approved of my reading material. So while my husband read about the life and battles of George, I settled in watching the sunset on the lake and sharing the lives of Lucy Valentine and her beloved, Sean Donohue. Lucy and Sean were also seeing skies of reds and orange. Only their view was of arson set fires not giant blue herons.
Someone was targeting Sam Sean's adopted brother, by burning down the foster homes and buildings of his past. Later on we learn that the target was Sean, himself. In order to try and keep Lucy etc. Everyone was scattered in hopes to confuse the villian. Being a novel by the wonderful author, Heather Webber, means this wasn't the only scenario going on.
No, there even was a missing child case, and a missing love for Lucy to solve. To me this book is a Romantic Suspense novel. And, I love it. I understand the appeal of the ebooks, but, I love having a print copy that I can donate to the library, where some person, unaware of Ms. Webber's talents can come across it and find a jewel. I look forward to more adventures and love tales in this series. Aug 17, Jan rated it really liked it Shelves: Yay, Lucy Valentine is back. In the best entry in the series so far and that is saying a lot!
Lucy is trying to develop her psychic abilities by working with a group of fellow psychics. They are working to solve an old missing person's case and Lucy really wants to find the child alive and well. At the same time there is a serial arsonist in Boston who seems to be targeting Lucy's boyfriend,'s Sean, brother Sam. Well it gets better. Lucy has been hired to find the soul mate of a mysterious man who has come to her because his cat told him to.
All this is happening during one of the hottest summers that Boston has ever seen. I love this series. Lucy and her crazy friends and family are always getting into some sort of mess. The romances in the story are sweet. The mystery in this one is very good though I did have a bit of trouble with motive on this one. The book is so much fun, I was able to roll with it. Run, do not walk, to get your copy. Apr 30, Tanya rated it liked it.
These books are a lot of fun but I was a little frustrated with this one. The motive for the mystery was pretty lame and I realize this is a book about a matchmaking family but I have to admit that I was getting a little annoyed that every single side character in this book had to be matched up. I guess the Title should have been a tip off, duh.

I love the cast of side characters but ALL of them finding their HEA is kind of ridiculous and felt it was taking away from the magic of the main couple These books are a lot of fun but I was a little frustrated with this one. I love the cast of side characters but ALL of them finding their HEA is kind of ridiculous and felt it was taking away from the magic of the main couple which is the only HEA I care about. It probably wouldn't be quite so irritating if all the other couples weren't moving at warp speed idiots while the only couple I care about are moving at snails pace frustratingly smart.
I fully expect Marisol to be married and with child by the next book. Who needs to date first when you have an aura match? I love everything about this series; the characters, the story lines, the mysteries, the psychic abilities, etc. Heather Webber does a wonderful job with descriptions, background, building the story and humor.
Even though it was several years before I could read this book, I dove right in and it all came back to me. I felt completely immersed in the story as it wrapped around me in comfort and intrigue. I truly hope Heather continues to write this series. I will be very disappointed if she stops! Sep 15, Leslie rated it really liked it. Lucy Valentine's fourth adventure, mystery, romance has her taking care of a cat who is attempting to be a matchmaker. Meanwhile an arsonist is targeting the places Sam and Sean lived when they were in foster care.
Despite Lucy's attempts to improve her psychic abilities, the group she is learning from is rife with jealousy and spite. Danger and the unexpected make this book a real page turner. Jul 23, Courtney Johnson rated it it was amazing. I loved this book! It was a great edition to the Lucy Valentine series. There was lots of action and drama. I enjoyed the new psychics in this book and what they brought to the table. Lucy figures out she has a new power because of them. The ending kind of came out of nowhere but I'm interested to see where it leads. Jan 29, EmmaMay rated it really liked it.
Lucy and Sean, continue to charm. The mysteries are well done, plenty of suspects abound. And the secondary characters are fully developed, adding depth and making this world very inviting.

May 14, Lynn rated it it was amazing. I was so happy to get to read more Lucy! Especially since Heather Webber has a talent for leaving stuff up in the air at the end of her books- this one being a prime example. A lot is happening in this book- Sam appears to have a stalker or is it Sean? I enjoy the fast pace and the mix of emotions present in these books. You go from lauging to sighing in seco I was so happy to get to read more Lucy!
You go from lauging to sighing in seconds, but the transitions are always completely smooth and natural. She is finding it tough to focus on that, however, when it appears that an arsonist is running around Boston targeting either Sam or Sean. To add to her frustration a mysterious stranger shows up in her office and leaves his cat with her so the cat can help Lucy bring mystery man and his soul mate together- hilarious! Lucy is also trying to help best friend Em figure out why her new fiance, Aidan, is being secretive and withdrawn make note of the previously mentioned cliff hanger endings.
And on top of all of that, Lucy new friend, Preston, is obviously very ill and not wanting to deal with it. Lucy and her grandmother are working to harass Preston into getting checked out by her doctor. It takes a member of Lucy's psychic group, Dr. Paul, to convince Preston she is in danger and needs to seek care. With so much on her plate, Lucy doesn't have time to breathe. But she manages to find the right clues to help with the missing girl case, she finds the arsonist and, with some surprise help, saves those around her in danger.

Working with other psychics on a cold case looking for an abduct The Valentines are back and stirring up more trouble in Heather Webber's latest instalment in the Lucy Valentine mysteries. Working with other psychics on a cold case looking for an abducted little girl , Lucy is working hard trying to solve this case, while at the same trying to figure out the arsonist who is targeting her close friends and family. This series is the first I read by Heather Webber, and it is one of my firm favorites.
I like how it takes the traditional cozy mystery and spins it around a bit, with the unique addition of the psychic powers that Lucy has. Lucy and her family always keep me amused, and in Perfectly Matched there is a lot going on with Lucy and her friends and family. I've loved following these characters from the first book Truly, Madly. It was great to see some happy endings, and some development with the characters I've grown to love. I can't recommend the Lucy Valentine mysteries enough. They have a little of everything for everyone with romance, intrigue, mystery and paranormal elements.
I definitely recommend starting with Truly, Madly, because you are going to want to read all of them!! There are no discussion topics on this book yet.
