Some training and activities will be at other locations around the city. Team members who live locally are encouraged to commute from their normal accommodation each day. In addition, lunch and dinner is provided throughout the programme. You are required to arrange your own transport to and from Manchester. The programme will be within easy access of the city centre.
Living Jesus in all of life: Helping others do the same
Where possible, we will endeavour to assist you in getting to and from a main train or bus station or Manchester airport. Once in Manchester you will get around by car, minibus, foot or bus. We can reimburse you the cost of any bus travel you make as part of the programme. An orientation programme will run during the first weekend where you will be able to meet the rest of the team and receive initial information and training on the programme.
The final Saturday of the programme will consist of a time of debriefing and reflection on key lessons learnt. Attendance at these are required for all team members and permission to skip them will only be given in exceptional circumstances. From a legal standpoint it is organised by Friends International.

Two Discipleship conference weeks one at the end of June and one at the end of July which aim to help us grow in our faith, love and hope to enable us to better serve Jesus Christ back in our home contexts. These weeks will give you opportunities to grow as disciples. The programme offers a blend of input teaching, sung worship, sharing together and discussion groups with a whole load of time together e.
This high relational week will help you to get the space you need to recharge, rethink and refocus your lives. Please note that each week will begin with an evening meal and end with breakfast. The programme is based at 'Elvheim' which was formerly a Youth Hostel and is now a privately run guesthouse www. You should expect to be staying in dormitories of between people. All bedding is provided. This trip is aimed at those aged between and is suitable for all students, Connect Workers.
If you are applying to join the team responsible for running the week please use the Norway Option. Please note that additional days at Elvheim can also be booked subject to availability for NOK per night inclusive of food and accommodation. In particular there is an opportunity to visit Elvheim in the week following Discipleship Week. As this is a one week conference, orientation and debrief are not requirements.
There will however be an onsite orientation once you arrive to help familiarise you with Elvheim and expectations for the week. We recommend personal follow up from Discipleship Week with your local Navigator Rep to discuss what you learned and keep you accountable to any goals or disciplines you may have set yourself at the end of the week. Students from Nav groups across Europe come together in Belgium to live and work together, meeting God personally and discovering His call to live as labourers next door to everywhere. Jesus went through all the towns and villages, teaching in their synagogues, proclaiming the good news of the kingdom and healing every disease and sickness.
When he saw the crowds, he had compassion on them, because they were harassed and helpless, like sheep without a shepherd. Ask the Lord of the harvest, therefore, to send out workers into his harvest field. Welcome to the official invite to ESTP ! The harvest is plentiful, full of people in desperate need, physically and spiritually.
Every day as we walk around our campuses and city streets we are surrounded by those who seek to follow but are without a leader. During ESTP, we be asking God to grow in us a heart for those in our lives and will be thinking of practical ways in which we can engage well with people. Throughout the week we will be hearing from various speakers, corporately worshipping God together, learning in seminars and contributing to reflective discussions in small groups there will also be some fun games and community times built in.
Previous ESTP attendees speak highly of how impactful this week is for their faith and increases in them a hope for their communities. Come be a part of it. Leaders on the programme will also need the ability to lead small group discussions and work well as part of the leadership team. I liked the Opportunity to have a lot of conversations with different people and get to know them more.
I really enjoyed the people, the food, the worship. Altogether, it was a very encouraging week for me.

There were so many different people, but it was great to learn and process with them. Feel so blessed to have been there: Being together on a mission is great. To hear and learn from the stories of others is an enrichment of my vision in general and my Navs experience in particular.
This trip is a unique summer training program run by the Navigators Worldwide Partnership. Students, recent graduates and Navigator staff involved in Navigator ministries across the world come to Glen Eyrie Conference Centre in Colorado Springs, Colorado the international home of The Navigators for a summer of intense growth. An international training programme bringing together approx 40 student aged Navigators from across the globe including those from Africa, Asia and Latin America. Inspirational content and excellent community.
It combines training and group sessions with work in small teams at the Glen Eyrie centre. This trip is open and suitable for all students, recent graduates and Connect Workers. Some financial assistance is available based upon need. Before the trip there will be an orientation ideally face to face but failing that online. Attendance at Orientation is compulsory. At the end of the trip there will be a team debrief we on site where we will ensure that there is space for personal and group reflection to process all that God has been teaching you during the trip.
After the trip it is also expected that you will attend a post-trip debrief session. This will be 2 to 3 weeks after you return from the trip, and is an essential component of the overseas experience. UK citizens with a valid UK passport with at least 6 months remaining on it will require a visa in order to enter USA. I look back on my two and a half months in Colorado Springs with much affection — it was like a turbo charge for my faith amongst great new friends from across the world that helped me meet with God significantly on more than one occasion. I recommend this programme to anyone.

There will also be a full-day comprehensive induction to Central European context and the C. Lewis project once you arrive in Slovakia. Please note that you are applying to join the UK team attending camps organised by the C. Lewis Bilingual High School link. My time in Slovakia the past two summers have honestly been highlights of my year. It has been a real pleasure being able to be a small part of the amazing vision that is being realised at C. Lewis High School and has so obviously impacted the lives of some of my closest friends.
My Slovak friends clearly just love hosting people and my visits there have been so personal in being welcomed into the community there and having great friendships with many of the other helpers. I recommend it wholeheartedly to anyone, particularly if you just enjoy meeting new people and are up for having fun! A stretching 6-week programme serving in a Thai University, running a practical and fun programme to help the Thai students practice their spoken English.
Discipleship Transforms Lives
The trip is a great opportunity to experience and learn about the beautiful country of Thailand and the Buddhist worldview of Thai people. This will give the opportunity to build friendships and to see the gospel flow through these relationships. A significant part of the trip will also be praying — for the students, for the University, for the nation of Thailand — praying for Thai Buddhists to follow Jesus. The trip will give you the opportunity to experience and learn about the beautiful country of Thailand and the Buddhist worldview of Thai people.
The programme will give you the opportunity to serve alongside, and see the life of, a long-term Conventional Income Missionary. We will also be partnering with and serving alongside a Navigators team from the US in all the parts of the program. Approximately 6 weeks, from Sunday 23 June to Friday 2 August Mostly based at a university in central Thailand. The debrief at the end of the program will be in a countryside or coastal location.
Throughout the trip, team members may be sleeping on mats on the floor, sharing large double beds, or in a single bed.
City Church
During the English conversation program the team members will live in student dorms, sharing rooms with one or more other team members. Please note that payment for flights and travel insurance c. Training will be given to help team members raise financial and prayer support from friends, family and churches. We will hold an orientation weekend in St Andrews, Scotland on April Attendance at this is required for all team members.

There will be a team debrief we on site where we will ensure that there is space for personal and group reflection to process all that God has been teaching you during the trip. If accepted on the trip you must also attend a post-trip debrief session. In Thailand it will be impossible to guarantee, and even difficult to try to ensure, that individual food allergies, intolerances and preferences are catered for. This is because of the ingredients used in Thai food, the rarity of such allergies, intolerances and preferences in Thailand, and the language barrier for the team.
If you have any food allergies, intolerances and preferences, please clearly identify these on your application form to help us make a fully-informed decision about the possibility of you joining the team. Without a valid DBS or PVG Check either provided by the applicant or obtained on the applicants behalf by the Navigators applicants will be unable to participate in the programme. A valid passport with at least 6 months remaining on it. You will also need to apply for a 60 day visa. You must consult with your General Practitioner or Practice Nurse at least 8 weeks in advance of travel.
They will assess your particular health risks before recommending vaccines. We tried to learn as much as we could about the culture and find appropriate ways to share the Gospel. We observed that they asked few questions which meant it was hard to begin conversations about the God.
Equally, we learnt that they deeply valued relationships built around common experience. Over time this helped us to begin sharing about God in culturally relevant and appropriate ways.
At the end of our time, I felt we had barely scratched the surface in understanding the culture. Team members will join a larger team of Native English Speakers teaching English to, and sharing life with, Polish youth. Each week has a different age group in focus. Initiative and flexibility are two key requirements for those interested in this programme. Camp Arka have been running English camps in Poland for nearly 20 years.
This programme will give you the opportunity to be part of an International team teaching English to Polish youth. Activities will vary from day to day but will include conversation groups and recreational activities. Participants must be available for the Friday before the camp begins to allow for mandatory camp prep, meeting the team and training.

This is a safe place where guys can be real, share, pray, and encourage each other, as we grow together in our relationship with the Father. It is our delight to gather and study, pray, and be part of one another's lives. As we do, our love for God deepens and our understanding of His love for us grows.
