I was hitting balls at the now defunked Brookpark Range in early April of when a tall stranger took the spot next to me. I watched as he banged out one perfect shot after another, seemingly with little effort. He watched me struggle for a while, and we started chatting. His name was Jerry and he was just passing through Cleveland to visit his daughter. To do that, you will have to learn precisely the correct way to perform each part of the swing and you will need to start from the ground up" With that he wrote down "Maxine Van Evera Lupo" on a greens fee ticket.
He then proceded to call his shots, "High Fade", "Low Draw" and hit each one. This book has not gotten me to that level yet, but if it worked for him I find it a little hard to read at times because of the detail; it is the most detailed book I have ever read on the golf swing.
She will tell you what to do and why to do it. For me it still all boils down to having a "feel" for the swing. But this is a great reference.

Fifteen Fundamentals to Build a Great Swing, Second Edition
I find I realy enjoy ready about how to play better golf; many great books to choose from. I have read about golf books and this one is at the top. It extensively covers the cause and effect, this does that or don't do that type coverage of the golf swing details. I can think of one other book that so brilliantly covers the golf swing in this way. The language is clear, concise, complete and valuable. That is not very common these days.

Best golf book I have come across and I would recommend to anyone trying to improve their game. I am sorry that i must say i found this book dull and boring, and the key points have been covered elsewhere in other forms. If you never read any book or saw any golf channel then buy this book, otherwise you really do not need it.
How to Master a Great Golf Swing by Maxine Van Evera Lupo on Apple Books
Of course I buy from Amazon becuase they have it and at the best price. I was a Physiology Teaching Fellow in a university and an avid golfer since the time I was about 12 years old. Since that time, I have read many books on golf and the mechanics of the golf swing.
In general, I've been frustrated by poor and incomplete descriptions in the past. This is because I think most great golfers don't have the ability to articulate what the actually are doing when they are making a swing. Their knowledge is embodies and underneath awareness.
This book is unique in that it provides that missing information and presents it in a logical, clear and comprehensive manner including all the important details. In addition, this book is not so technical that it is unreadable by the average person. All of the concepts, even the more suble or complex are presented in a straightforward and concise manner.
I believe this is a monumental achievement and a valuable contribution to the golf literature.
Golf books.
This text will help you to understand EVERY aspect of a good golf swing, why it's important, what can go wrong and how to make corrections. There is not a single aspect of the swing or any element to it that is left out from feet placement, movement around various joints, etc. It also teaches you how to feel these things in your body and raised your awareness of how different things going wrong feels. In my opinion, this book should be on every golfer's shelf
