Gratefully, I do not suffer from chronic physical pain, however I have been dealing with some very intense and painful relationship and emotional issues recently. This book has been a God-send.
Over the years I've read more 'self-help' and 'spiritual healing' and 'positive affirmations' books than I can count, and most of them have been very helpful in one way or another. Unfortunately, when I am depressed or angry or hurt or stressed or in the midst of a 'panic attack' I cannot seem to remember any of the sage advice I gleaned from all those helpful books over the years. Written in plain English, this book addresses five areas that can cause pain or suffering that every human faces during their life Physical, Mental, Emotional, Spiritual and Relationships.
Listed by date, each key area physical, mental, emotional, spiritual, and relationship is also written in bold letters at the top of the page, allowing for quick look-up of various meditations whenever I need them.
11 Meditation For Chronic Pain Programs
I highly recommend this book to anyone that has ever felt sad, angry, uncomfortable, depressed, obsessed, stressed or anxious! Whether dealing with an addiction, a loss, a challenge, or just life-on-life's-terms, these short daily spiritual tidbits are an excellent way to start the day.
There is also a beautiful affirmation each day for body, mind, and spirit healing that help me stay mindful of 'being in the solution' throughout the day when any type of pain, or less-than-positive feelings or emotions rear their nasty little heads. For anyone that does not have chronic physical pain, or is not in a step recovery program, simply substitute the 'feeling' or 'emotion' for the word 'pain'; and the word 'spirituality' for 'recovery'.
This book has seriously changed my life.
