I had to know what was going on at all times, I was scared for Victoria and all the others ,all were in danger those jags freaked me out on how much power they had.
Teen Wolf's Curse
I'm heartbroken for Dillon. Poor guy didn't make it but good things did come after the nightmare was over, but worried it not over?! I was given this with the request for an honest review. This is an excellent second book to the series. The suspense in this is awesome.
And there are many unanswered questions so that has to mean a third book. If you haven't gotten the book yet, get it. You won't regret it. If you can't tell, I loved the book. Stacy Claflin, keep up the good work.

Your a awesome author. Is there such a thing as too much dialogue? Absolutely, when that dialogue us boring and there's zero action to go along with it. I've read three quarters of this book and not one thing has actually happened. How in the world could people give this five stars? A continuation of Book 1 in the saga of Toby and Victoria. Lots of unrequited love that is shrouded in paranormal angst and secrets. I'm really enjoying Victoria and Toby. The jaguar concept mixed in gives the book another layer to the plot. The characters are starting to develop and I am really enjoying the addition of the Valkyrie!
Can't wait to read the next book! I immediately HAD too buy book 2!

Has everything you want in a paranormal story. I think it is an excellent read!!!
On book 6 now. A mini on society of a different kind of 'people' learning to get along together. Werewolves, vampires, Valkyries, trolls and witches to name a few. Another good one from Stacy Claflin. There seems to be no end to her imagination and story telling. She doesn't write bad books. See all 70 reviews. There's a problem loading this menu right now. Kindle Edition Verified Purchase. I didn't hate this book but the idea for the book is fantastic and the whole time I was intrigued but it fell so short. The story starts out with Victoria starting college.
Immediately she makes a connection with a rich hottie who has never dated anyone else but for some reason singled out her and all the girls are jealous. Next she realizes that she doesn't remember anything before a few weeks ago when she came to college. Oh, I don't remember my parents or family or anything and I don't know who is paying for all the things in my life or how I am even here but no big deal! My credit card has money on it so I'm just gonna keep pretending nothing is wrong and go to my classes. Then her professor in one of her classes is extra hot and she feels like she knows him.
Here is something I did like. When Victoria first meets Toby or I guess the second time The way he looks, the way he smells, it's like she has already known him. At this point in the story I was like ok, here is where it is going to start getting good. Victoria keeps brushing things off until Toby sends a Valkyrie after her. Because she can see memories and is a "angel of death". Not entirely true to Norse mythology but I digress. She lets her rich boyfriend pamper her and doesn't do anything productive to the story or her "life" until she stumbles upon Toby being held captive in the rich boys daddies restaurant.
The last fourth of the book she remembers somethings from a "true loves kiss spell" and then Toby proposes. Leaves you wanting to know why the heck she only remembers a few hours from her life before but not wanting to actually buy the next book. I first saw this book in an email recommended by someone the cover was beautiful. So I bought it. There were a few issues with the story though and I believe that part of that may have been world issues that weren't clarified When the book begins, it's with Victoria realizing she has no memories of her life before this moment.
And this is where I had the biggest issue with this story. The girl doesn't freak out She's really rather chill and laidback about it all, and that just didn't feel right. Now, like I mentioned before, this could be an unclarified world detail. This is a paranormal world and as the story develops, it's obvious that something supernatural has happened to Victoria. Is it possible that whatever happened to her maybe a spell of some sort that it could have also calmed her so she wouldn't react to her bizarre circumstances I'm thinking a calming spell, maybe?
But I don't know But that was just a little niggle. There were a lot of unanswered questions that flow throughout the story. And it's going to be hard to discuss any of them without revealing spoilers, because there are definitely a TON of unknowns throughout this story. Some answers are revealed in the story and some that are not. This is one of three books and there are a few other things that bothered me, but again, just like my initial niggle, I'm just not sure. At the end of this book, the story is nowhere close to being done At times, the characters read as a little shallow.

They are all going through some big emotional hits and that didn't always translate into their actions. Overall, I did enjoy listening to the audiobook.
I thought the narrators did a good job. The world was interesting enough to keep me captivated. I'm just now sure about the story line between Toby and Victoria. I think I needed them to be more emotionally vested in one another to get me more emotionally invested. So kind of a wishy-washy review, but the book kind of gave me that feeling, too.

Victoria is your average 18 year old, off to college on her own with nothing but normal issues, until she realizes she has no memories before arriving on campus. Carter is the super hot and mysterious guy, whom everyone wants to know but who only has eyes for Victoria, and whom she's been clutching to for sanity while battling her inner demons over not knowing who she is. Toby is the hot new professor, and the key to Victoria learning her past.
I loved this book as a whole, with only a few small complaints. The story itself is great and I loved the twists and turns of it, along with the good character development and the shrouds of mystery around each. That being said, there were several moments that felt rushed, where I would have loved to have seen more details, especially towards the end of the book.
I was left puzzling a few things, and I won't lie that at the end I flipped forward and backwards looking for something I missed. My biggest question though was "what happens to Alex? I guess I'll have to read book 2 to find out ;. One person found this helpful. See all reviews. What other items do customers buy after viewing this item? Customers who viewed this item also viewed.
