I never get tired of it. I'm still, if not more, enjoying the Sacketts. These books are just plain fun to read. There hasn't been a single time I read for less than an hour and actually more then an hour. Louis L'Amour continues to place in my mind exactly where he wants it. You find yourself even hearing the leaves rustling. I'm not going to spoil any of this review telling about the story.

I'm just going to say "Enjoy". I love this author. He opened my imagination of adventures and cowboys and stuff. I gave this as a gift to my nephew hoping he too will have that spirit of adventure I got from this author. Being from Tennessee myself, family clans are still there. An enemy or friend of one is of all. Just a simple story that is profoundly well done. I've read it several time over the last few years. It's plot focus on the rights and responsibilities we have.

Logan takes a strong stand that the rights and freedoms of all of us are important to all of us. One greedy fool tries to take away those freedoms. We all must stand up and be counted or other fools will try to do the same thing. Logan tells it like it is, he's a Clinch Mountain Sackett and they are a handful for their enemies and they always seem to have someone to fight. This is the first Sackett book I ever read and when Louis Lamour was describing the ride down that dark trail at night in the storm he was at his best, never better, made me feel like I was on that mountain trail in that storm with the girl clinging on behind the saddle!

What a great start to a story! It's a L'Amour book how can you go wrong.
