The price and the long distance for the cruise Paxos Antipaxos Blue Caves are the reasons that can not be often operated with small cruising boats or private yachts. From 15 of July till 15 of September is high season and the most popular destinations of Greece are crowded. The staff of the boats are spending more than 3 hours every day cleaning and preparing the boat for every cruise, and they are also cleaning during the trip, to offer the best quality services for our guests. From the second I got on the overcrowded, poorly structured deck of the boat, I did not have a good feeling.

Greek Islands Guide: The Best Things to Do in Santorini

I'm only 5ft tal and found myself uncomfortably squashing my legs against myself as there was such little space on deck. The trip itself was also not as advertised: The brochure claimed that we would go down the east coast of Corfu and then the west coast of Paxos to see the Blue Caves and then to Antipaxos 'Paradise Beach' for 2 hours of swimming before then heading up the east coast of Paxos to Gaios to stop for 2hours and then home.

Firstly, there was NO guide telling us what we were sailing past or any information of any kind; we did not sail past the blue caves first, we went down the east coast of paxos straight to antipaxos.. As we were drawing closer to this 'paradise' beach, one of the staff started a BBQ of some dodgy looking meat whilst smoking several cigarettes Even then, it is only 5minutes spent here before we then double back on ourselves DOWN west coast to then go back up east coast, so all this time is not even being spent seeing something new.

Gaios itself is also not was expected.. There is an optional excursion around Paxos for an extra 10Euros but this would not allow for ANY time to eat or look around Gaios so I don't think many people bothered. The journey back was better than the journey there - actually had some room to stretch my wee legs as lots of people retreated indoors. I definitely would NOT recommend this boat trip, or probably even the tour company - lots of annoying fibs about the itinerary and poor organisation and poor customer service.

Such potential for a great day out and most people on the bus back to resort were complaining. Our company has two Daily Cruisers. The first open deck is wooden, same construction with yachts. The second open deck is lined with carpet. On both decks Peripheral are mounted stainless steel rails and tinted glass. The program of the cruise Paxos Antipaxos Blue Caves is as follows: Mooring near the beach Paradise Beach - Vutumi for swimming Although the destination is the same, the excursion program and the boats are different depends of the company.

It is easy to be confused if you are not local. If you still have any doubts please do not hesitate to contact us for further clarification on info ionian-cruises.

Fun facts about Santorini

So really you don't get the chance to get off the boat onto land until around 3pm in the afternoon, baring in mind this tour starts at 9 am in the morning. If you book this tour take plenty of sickness tablets and snacks to keep you going. I would not personally book children on this tour as it gets very rocky and it is a long day to be out at sea without food. Dear friend, We first visit the island of Antipaxos for swimming and after we stop to Paxos for lunch because it is not recommended to swim after eating for safety reasons. From the island of Antipaxos to the capital of Paxos Gaios the journey lasts only 30 minutes.

The boat arrives to Gaios always around Our visit to the capital of Paxos Gaios lasts from 2 to 2 hours and 30 minutes, depends of the season low-high. There is also a bar on board, with soft drinks, coffees, beers, spirits, fresh orange juice, toast, sandwich, pizza, kebabs, croissants, chocolates, and several snacks.

Also the windy days during the summer are quite a few and thousand of children travel with us every summer and enjoy the cruise with their parents since Thank you very much for your comments and we hope to see you in another trip. My brother and I took the Paxos - Antipaxos - Blue Caves day trip earlier today and are thoroughly disappointed. Our biggest complaint is that while the online schedule claims that we would spend three hours on the island Paxos, we in fact spent only two.

Considering that A Paxos is the main attraction on the trip and that B you'll be spending many hours on a crowded, seasickness -inducing boat to get there, this is quite significant.

The port in Paxos, Gaios, is lovely, and I recommend visiting it, but not through this dishonest company. We are sorry to hear about it and I will try to give an answer as follow. In these descriptions are not mentioned the time of departure or arrival to the destinations, because is more like a cruise and not itinerary.

For example in May when the temperature is 18 degrees Celsius we stay to the beach of Antipaxos only 20 minutes for swimming whilst in August when the temperature is 35 degrees Celsius we stay 45 minutes to an hour. We cooperate with more than hotels, travel agencies and tour operators and all these details are given to them and they are different for low season and different for high season. The last 8 years our visit to the capital of Paxos Gaios lasts from 2 to 2 hours and 30 minutes, depends of the season low-high. Both of them have the capacity of passengers according to the laws and seats in total outside and inside.

We understand that is difficult to seat all of the guests only outside or all of them only inside. There are some companies in Corfu who rent private yachts for 10 to 20 passengers who have enough space for all passengers to stay inside or outside. Some people are feeling seasick with a level 4 wind, others with level 7 wind and some people are feeling seasick even when the sea is calm. In this case it is better to take a seasick pill 30 minutes before the departure to be able to enjoy the cruise with positive mood. However, the days with rough sea during summer are quite a few.

Thank you very much for your comments. Spent a delightful week in Corfu and did the day cruise to Parga and Paxos. Staff there not too sure which day it departed but it was early in the season. We were picked up at 7. No workable seat belts and barely enough leg room for 4 adults. Good job we were not fatties!
