If you repeat something long enough, eventually people will come to believe it. This pretty much sums up today's unquestioned endorsement of evolutionary theory. Stop and think for a moment. To the masses, the idea of something from nothing and that we all evolved slowly, starting as nearly invisibly small organisms, then building ourselves up through one species at a time towards what we are today, would have seemed ridiculous. But today, you're crazy if you dare say otherwise. Well Darwin's ideas never have been novel to me. I was exposed to this line of thought since my earliest science classes.

These ideas have continued to be presented without contest to repeated generations. Amazingly, we've come to believe them. I find it amazing in our world of questioning everything and finding your own way, this subject is off limits, there can be no debate. What is everyone afraid of? We would rather find comfort in the delusion of evolution, than face the reality of an all-powerful God, to whom we must give account. Thankfully, there are those who will stand against the tide of popular opinion and seek the truth. John Ashton is one of these who have dared to question and test the credibility of evolutionary theory.

His book Evolution Impossible, is a direct attack on the core beliefs of evolution. He questions the unquestionable, leaving us to question how the world could be so utterly fooled. Can evolution be true? One thing I like about Dr. Ashton's approach, is that rather than just focusing on finding proofs for creationism, he sets out to examine the claims of evolution itself, by meticulously explaining its core issues and beliefs, and then revealing the error of its ways using its same science against them.

As he unfolds the truth, you will begin to see through the hype and assumptions on which the entire theory rests. Obviously, much of the material is rather technical in nature, but thankfully it is written in such way as to be accessible to most. I recommend this book to everyone. We need to be willing to confront the unsubstantiated claims of evolution, leading people to examine the truth, while proclaiming the God and Savior of all creation.

Here are the twelve reasons why evolution cannot explain the origin of life on Earth that Dr. John Ashton covers in his book. Not being all that scientific myself, these may not seem all that impressive at first, but if you read the book you will easily see just how much they are. Mutations do not produce new purposeful genetic information. Evolution of a new species as a result of new genetic code arising has never been observed.

There is no proven mechanism that can explain how new purposeful genetic information could arise, and statistically it is impossible. There is no known proven mechanism that can explain all the steps for a living cell to form from nonliving molecules abiogenesis , and statistically it is impossible.

theranchhands.com: Evolution Impossible (): Dr John Ashton: Books

Abiogenesis has never been observed and all experiments to initiate it have failed. The fossil record is a record of extinction of fully formed animals and plants- not a record of the evolution of life forms. There are no fossils of proven mutant evolutionary intermediate organisms, yet there should be millions and millions of fossils of such mutations. That is, we have no evidence of actual evolution in the fossil record. Some of the oldest fossil-bearing rocks contain fully developed advanced animals such as trilobites, with no evidence of evolutionary ancestors.

Erosion rates for the continents are too fast for the continents and their fossil content to be old enough for supposed evolution to occur. There are not enough ocean sediments or volcanic deposits for the continents to be old enough to allow for supposed evolution. Radiometric dating results give old ages for recent rock, so we cannot accurately "know" the age of rocks.

Also, the finding of carbon in coal and diamonds means that these deposits must be less than , years old, indicating insufficient time for supposed evolution. The rate of mutation of DNA currently observed suggest that DNA must be less than , years old, which is not enough time for supposed evolution. Aug 01, Robert rated it it was amazing. The theory of evolution has been around for less than years.

Belief in divine creation has existed since the creation of man. Current secular scientists would have us believe that there is not, nor has there ever been, any serious doubt concerning the veracity of their claims. The new book, Evolution Impossible, tackles the theory of evolution head on and delivers some very helpful, and encouraging, insight into the truth about what the science really tells us about our origins. Ashton rea The theory of evolution has been around for less than years. Ashton presents clear and compelling evidence that the idea of creation fits the actual scientific facts much better than the theory of evolution.

He gives easily understandable responses to the issues, such as: Ashton shows that the probability of even the simplest cell forming by chance is so small as to be impossible. Even evolutionists would consider the probabilities to amount o an impossibility concerning any other theory. Nevertheless, they still cling to the belief that life formed by chance random processes.

The scientific facts and information reveal that the theory of evolution is impossible no matter how much time evolutionists says it took. The book has some excellent information on how fossils form. Ashton states that the fossil record is actually a record of extinction, not evolution. It preserves a record of death, not of improvement. A very interesting section of the book centers around names of cities and their connection with the people in the Bible who existed right after the flood.

This book helped me solidify concepts that were forming in my biblical worldview. I already had a reasonably good grasp on the problems inherent in the theory of evolution, but this book, not only helped me get better grasp of the facts, it presented material and concepts that were new to me. Overall, this book is a solid defense of the six literal day creation of the universe by the Creator, God.

Scientists, who claim to deal in facts, should take this book very seriously. Aug 25, Rachel rated it it was amazing.

Evolution Impossible: 12 Reasons Why Evolution Cannot Explain Life on Earth

When examining the testimony of an expert, juries are often informed by the courts to consider the testimony of the expert and give it the weight they think it should have, the value of the testimony being for them to determine. Juries are not required to surrender their own judgment to that of any person testifying as an expert or otherwise.

As young impressionable children we of When examining the testimony of an expert, juries are often informed by the courts to consider the testimony of the expert and give it the weight they think it should have, the value of the testimony being for them to determine. Thus, so many of us are indoctrinated with the idea that human origins by and through evolution has been so established and so proven that we may as well question the existence of gravity as question the process of evolution. In Evolution Impossible, he explains how the Theory of Evolution developed and identifies the many assumptions upon which it is based.

Gathering data from many different scientific fields, Dr. Ashton elaborates upon the difference of what should be seen in nature based upon the Theory of Evolution, and what is actually observed. If you have subscribed to the Theory of Evolution as a valid explanation of our origins, this book will shake the foundations upon which you formed that belief. You be the judge.

You be the jury. You CAN decide for yourself. John Ashton does not even understand the subject he is attempting to refute. Evolution does not occur through new organs or species being assembled by chance and random mutations. He makes the same mistakes regarding irreducible complexity as Michael Behe made in his academically panned book 'Darwin's Black Box'. He then proceeds to ignore all of the many thousands of transitional fossils that have been found over the years, such as Archaeopteryx, Tiktaalik, Australopithecus afarensis and more.

Why John Ashton does not even understand the subject he is attempting to refute. Why Evolution Is True by Jerry Coyne is a much better book and is written by somebody who knows what they are talking about. I highly recommend it. Aug 12, Tony Breeden rated it it was amazing. The subtitle of the book states that the book promises to give us 12 reasons why evolution is impossible. Rather than dedicating a chapter to each reason, he covers them over the course of the book with a few extras thrown in.

Rather the fossil record is evidence for catastrophic burial. Some surprises in the book include a scientific theory to explain pre-Flood lifespans as being due to deuterium water levels [chapter 8] and the whole of Chapter 13, where Ashton gives evidence of supernatural intervention in recorded history by an examination of fulfilled prophecy and accounts of premonitions, foreknowledge and angelic intervention.

I had to read Chapter 13 twice. I give Ashton credit for making a case for supernatural intervention in Earth history in a book dedicated to refuting evolution, for preachers like myself full well realize that positive evidence for supernatural agency undermines any account of the world that assumes pure naturalism as its premise.

There is also an appendix on approximate calculations of the dates of Creation and the Flood.

I was surprised when I learned about how many scientists know that the flood did happen and the earth is not millions of years old.

I enjoyed chapter 14 and the list of twelve reasons for rejecting evolution. It really helped to bring the whole book together. Often times when we are given two options to choose from we are mislead into thinking those are the only two options and that one of them contains the totality of known truth on that particular subject.

Though often this is not the case, sometimes it is. One of the few areas in which I believe this is the case is the debate between macroevolution and microevolution as the explanation for the similarity and diversity we find within all of life. In short, this is an option between either Dawrinian evolution DE by random chance purposeless natural selection or the creation of all living things by God through the initial creation of kind and the subsequent creation of the diversity within kind through microevolution.

Following a long line of books seeking to refute the claims of DE is a new books by Dr. Ashton is a proponent of creation science and written several books on the subject with Master Books. Ashton is an adjunct professor of biomedical and applied sciences in Melbourne, Australia. Evolution Impossible is a book defending creationism and the belief in creation in 6 literal 24 hr. It does this primarily by refuting the claims of DE that 1 life began through the process known as abiogenesis life coming from non-life and 2 that, once started, all of the diversity of life we see came about by macroevolution over the course of millions and billions of years.

The basic assumption of macroevolution is that everything originated from a single celled organism and evolved over vast amounts of time to the present. So, Ashton seeks to defend his position primarily by showing how DE is not a valid theory to explain the existence and diversity of life. In a way, Ashton is making the case that the burden of proof is on the side of DE proponents because their theory is indefensible and not as assuredly assumed as they would like to think. Ashton accomplishes this task by addressing twelve lines of support DE proponents give in defense of their theory, only a few of which I will touch on.

Abiogenesis and Natural Selection One of the most audacious claim of DE supporters is that an original living cell, from which all of life evolved from, originated by chance. This is behind the teem aboigenesis which is the belief that life comes from non-life. What is perhaps worse is that, though there is no substantial or defensible proof for this, this theory is purported to be a scientific fact that is propagated in all science text books.

Ashton states "If it can be shown that it is absolutely impossible for a living organism to arise by natural processes from nonliving matter, then the theory of evolution would be without foundation and unable to provide the complete mechanical-naturalistic explanation of how we came to be here.: After a short discussion on how cells form and how many would have to form in the right pattern among other things Ashton concludes that "For the first life to start from nonliving matter, thousands of specialized large complex molecules must somehow be synthesized in very large numbers from simple small inorganic molecules.

These molecules then have to come together randomly over and over again until somehow the structure of the cell is formed. This remarkable and complex structure would still, however, not be alive. To become alive, hundreds of metabolic reactions wold have to be initiated, with the metabolic intermediaries already in place at just the right concentrations so that the reactions went the right way. There is so much required, that is not present, in order for DE to be possible that it is highly statistically impossible.

Here we run into the belief that all of the diversity of life that we see came about by the process of natural selection. In this discussion Ashton overviews the three types of evolution: That is, additional new genetic information enters the DNA of an organism via, for example, virus-like proteins or by plasmids that can carry specific genes.

Ashton rightly points out that the examples used in text books to to prove type 3 evolution are actually examples of type 1 evolution. This fits with the fact that we do observe type 1 evolution and have never observed type 3. Further, type 3 evolution has never been observed by anyone neither is it probable for it to occur and develop all of life within the 4 billion years of supposed evolutionary time p.

Fossil Record Within the DE theory of millions of years is a connection between macroevolution and the fossil record. Over the course of several chapters Ashton discusses various theories and assumptions held by DE proponents such as uniformitarianism and the geological time scale see also pgs. With this in mind, there are four basic lines of evidence concerning the fossil record: Virtually all of the fossils used by DE supporters to support macroevolution are found in sedimentary rocks. These sedimentary rocks are found all over the world.

The fossil record clearly shows that there were a large number of plants and animals that existed in the past which no longer exist today. I have read much on the arguments for and against evolution but this contained an amount of detail I had not read before. Ashton for taking the time to write this book and for being willing to expose yourself to the ridicule that surely followed. I did not read this as an attack on evolution, but rather a laying out of the argument. One person found this helpful. This is an outstanding introduction to the evolution vs. Morris, and a few others, so I have a background in the discussion. I like how Ashton's 12 Reasons summarize the best of the available research to date. I'd recommend this book to seekers and those who have without challenge accepted the speculative theory of Darwinian macro-evolution.

This book was very informative! A lot of information and detail! I have never believed in evolution but this book gave me some good answers!. Makes a clear case why evolution has been so distorted and the motivation for scientist to shoe-horn a materialistic explanation for life. This book explains why evolutionists are still trying to come up with new ways to make evolution fit, even though it's clear that it can't be the answer and science can prove it. This is a great book. He backs up his arguments with mathematical analysis and his logic seems to be good. Excellent explanation of Intelligent Design and the difficulty of the darwinist theory in explaining life and evolution.
