We really tried to let each author tell her own tale. All in all, we worked together well and communicated often.
I was the last author to join this project so a lot of the pre-work and planning had already been fleshed out when I was invited in. That being said Lara, Alicia.

Melody, Jane and Zara were incredibly welcoming and were interested in any ideas I brought forward as well. I think what makes this series different is that each book is almost stand alone. Each story has its own conflict between the couples that has to be resolved as well as stepping closer to the resolution of the mystery behind the feud.
Which made overlapping stories a bit easier to figure out. For myself, I relied heavily on the calendar that had been made.

Each day had notes of what was going on in each story and I knew what my characters might see or gossip they might hear if they were in town. I hope this all made some sense and answered your question. For example I read a trilogy a couple of years ago by three different authors and it felt like the author who had book 1 had to set up the premise of the series and the author of book 3 had to wrap it up and that the author who was lucky enough to get book 2 was the one that had the most fully fleshed hero and heroine.
I felt like the other two authors kind of got the short end of the stick because they had to use page setting up and concluding the plot rather than on the characters.
