Even though they are fictional characters, they are life-like enough to see how a couple can meet, marry, and go through disappointments and serious hurts. They may get discouraged, but they manage to keep their faith in God, and grow stronger, in the process.

The author does a great job of weaving scriptures into the books, showing the practicality of their beliefs, as well as showing how they grow as a couple and reach out to help others around them, too. They are a great set of books, and I highly recommend them. The Author Has Outdone Herself. Reading author Juliette Duncan's novels is always a blessing. Within her books readers see people overcoming life issues while growing toward or depending upon Christ.
A creator of wonderful character who have real life issues, within this series, I believe the author has outdone herself and that's a feat not to be taken lightly. One person found this helpful. These 4 books are mainly about Tessa and different chapters in her life but also includes a lot about the man she marries and her stepson. These books show why you need to seek God in everything and what can happen when you do not. It also shows that you should never give up on praying for someone to know Jesus Christ. And that we should always forgive - no matter what the other person may have done to hurt you.
This is a fantastic story over a few years but I do feel that there were far more scriptures and long prayers than the books needed. But, at the same time, these books may help someone find Him.

Finished all of her books. I was looking for more type of Karen Kingsbury writing! Juliette Duncan is totally amazing! I can't wait for a new one. Such amazing Christian reading and story lines will make you NOT want to lay her books down. Wish I could find another one like them. May God Bless you such amazing writing. This was a new author for me, and I was not disappointed! There were relatable characters who faced and overcame difficult obstacles and challenges. I enjoyed following each character's spiritual journey and rejoiced when they found their answers in Christ! Christian romance with believable plots and characters makes for great reading, and Juliette Duncan delivers in this series!!
However it covers a long stretch of time. The characters deal with a LOT of big issues: This was such an excellent series! I really enjoyed the three stories in this collection. I had read the first one before, but it was good to reread.
