MIYAKO YOSHINAGA

This is an open and honest story of dealing with losing not just one baby but two. This mother turns her grief into ways of helping others.

Extended through December 22 (Dec. 11 - 22 Open to the public)

As a babyloss mother myself this is a book I can relate to. I would recommend this book to not only babyloss mothers but to those who know someone who has lost a baby. Turn your luck around by creating a unique and powerful vision board "with a spin!

There is something about being in a room with women engaged in one another, sharing knowledge, learning new words and ideas, energizing one another; it is a beautiful thing. I cannot express enough how light it feels to be sitting on a cool floor cutting and using markers and glue and creating again.

Something so simple, such an elementary act, really lights me up. I enjoyed looking for words, expressions, images and colors that resonated with me and that represented me. Coloring and cutting and watching my beautiful friends create the same symbol for themselves was very moving.

I carried my pinwheel with me all afternoon. The wishes on its wings and the meaning it has to me is bigger than anyone can understand.
