This name was adopted into the Chinese vernacular as the name of the sandbar.
The modern word Taiwan is derived from this usage, which is seen in forms in Chinese historical records. Use of the current Chinese name was formalized as early as with the establishment of Taiwan Prefecture, through its rapid development, the entire Formosan mainland eventually became known as Taiwan. The official name of the state is the Republic of China and it was a member of the United Nations representing China until , when it lost its seat to the Peoples Republic of China.
Over subsequent decades, the Republic of China has become known as Taiwan. In some contexts, especially ones from the ROC government. It has two parts, Penang Island, where the city, George Town, is located. Penang is bordered by Kedah to the north and the east, known as the Silicon Valley of the East for its industries, Penang is also one of the most urbanised and economically-important states in the country. Its heterogeneous population is diverse in ethnicity, culture, language.
A resident of Penang is colloquially known as a Penangite, Penang Lang or Penangkaran, the name of Penang comes from the modern Malay name Pulau Pinang, which means the island of the areca nut palm. The 16th-century Portuguese historian Emanuel Godinho de Eredias map of the Malay Peninsula in his Description of Malacca in referred to the island as Pulo Pinaom, archaeological evidence shows that Penang was inhabited by the Semang-Pangan of the Juru and Yen lineage.
Both of these are now considered extinct cultures and they were hunter-gatherers of the Negrito stock having short stature and dark complexion, and were dispersed by the Malays as far back as years ago. The last recorded aboriginal settlement in Penang was in the s in Kubang Semang, the first evidence of prehistoric human settlement in what is now Penang were found in Guar Kepah, a cave in Seberang Perai in Based on mounds of sea shells with human skeletons, stone implements, broken ceramics, and food leftovers inside, other stone tools found in various places on Penang Island pointed to the existence of Neolithic settlements dating to 5, years ago.
One of the first Englishmen to reach Penang was the navigator, sailing from Plymouth for the East Indies, James reached Batu Ferringhi in June , remaining on Penang Island until September of the same year and pillaging every vessel he encountered. In the early 18th century, ethnic Minangkabaus from Sumatra opened up a settlement on Penang Island, Haji Muhammad Salleh, known as Nakhoda Intan, anchored at Batu Uban and built a seaside settlement in Later, the Arabs arrived and settled mainly at Jelutong, the Arabs then intermarried with the Minangkabau, this gave rise to the Arab-Minangkabau admixture now described as Malay, as they have assimilated into the local Malay community.
However, the history of Penang only began in Disc jockey — A disc jockey is a person who mixes different sources of pre-existing recorded music as it is playing, usually for a live audience in a nightclub or dance club or via broadcasting. DJs typically perform for an audience in a nightclub or dance club or a TV, radio broadcast audience, or in the s. DJs also create mixes, remixes and tracks that are recorded for later sale, in hip hop music, DJs may create beats, using percussion breaks, basslines and other musical content sampled from pre-existing records.
In hip hop, rappers and MCs use these beats to rap over, DJs use equipment that can play at least two sources of recorded music simultaneously and mix them together. This allows the DJ to create seamless transitions between recordings and develop unique mixes of songs, DJ equipment, notably the specialized DJ mixer, a small audio mixer with a crossfader and cue functions. The crossfader enables the DJ to blend or transition from one song to another, the cue knobs or switches allow the DJ to preview a source of recorded music in headphones before playing it for the live club or broadcast audience.
Previewing the music in headphones helps the DJ pick the track they want to play. DJs may also use a microphone to speak to the audience, effects such as reverb to create sound effects, drum machines. The title DJ is also used by DJs in front of their real names or adopted pseudonyms or stage names as a title to denote their profession. Some DJs focus on creating a mix of songs for the club dancers or radio audience.
Other DJs use turntablism techniques such as scratching, in which the DJ or turntablist manipulates the record player turntable to create new sounds. Mobile DJs travel with portable sound systems and play recorded music at a variety of events. Some mobile DJs also serve as the master of ceremonies at weddings or other events, directing the attention of attendees, there are also many competitions for DJs that specialize in different turntablism techniques, such as mixing, hip hop music-style scratching or other kinds of techniques.
Other types of DJ use musical performance techniques that allow them to be categorized as performing musicians, hip hop DJs and are also often songwriters or music producers who use turntablism and sampling to create backing instrumentals for new tracks. In reggae, the DJ is a vocalist who raps, toasts, chants or chats over pre-recorded rhythm tracks, the individual who helps the DJ by selecting tracks or records to be played is called the selector.
Many electronica artists and producers who work as DJs often perform music by combining turntablism with keyboards, digital musical instruments. Malaysian Chinese — The Malaysian Chinese or Chinese Malaysians consist of people of full or partial Chinese—particularly Han Chinese ancestry who were born in or immigrated to Malaysia. Most of these people are the descendants of those who arrived between the early 19th century and the midth century, Malaysian Chinese form the second largest community of Overseas Chinese in the world, after Thailand.
Within Malaysia, they represent the second largest ethnic group in Malaysia after the ethnic Malay majority and they are usually simply referred to as Chinese in Malaysia, Orang Cina in Malay, and Huaren or Huaqiao by Chinese themselves. The Chinese population in Malaysia has been consistently declining percentage-wise since Malayan independence, the reason for the decline may be due to a lower birthrate, as well as a high level of emigration in recent decades. The large number of emigrants, many of whom are young, the first wave of Han Chinese settlers came during the Malacca Empire in the early 15th century.
The friendly diplomatic relations between China and Malacca culminated during the reign of Sultan Mansur Syah, who married the Chinese princess Hang Li Po, a senior minister of state and five hundred youths and maids of noble birth accompanied the princess to Malacca. Admiral Zheng He had also brought along bachelors to Malacca, the descendants of this wave, many of whom are of Hokkien ancestry, adapted to the customs of local Malays while retaining parts of their ancestral culture.
They are called Peranakan, or Baba for their menfolk and Nyonya for the females, Chinese immigration to British Malaya and Straits Settlements was encouraged by the British and the Malay sultans to work in the mines and plantations. This group was responsible for establishing the many Chinese-medium schools in Malaya and are mostly Chinese-educated, Some such as Koh Lay Huan escaped from China due to rebellious activities against the Qing dynasty.
A much smaller wave came after the s and they were mostly Mandarin speaking Chinese from northern China and these were mostly foreign spouses married to Malaysian Chinese. Some national sports coaches such as badminton coach Han Jiang could only obtain permanent residency after repeated rejections of their citizenship applications, however, diving coach Huang Qiang managed to obtain his Malaysian citizenship.
China is the largest participant in Malaysias foreign residency scheme called Malaysia My Second Home, according to department of statistics Malaysia July , the composition of each dialect are as follows. The largest dialect group are the Min people with a total of about 2. The southern Hokkien from Quanzhou, Amoy, and Zhangzhou is the largest Chinese language group in Malaysia, the first wave of Hokkien settled primarily in Malacca where they constitute a mere 3 percent of Malaccas Chinese population and are called Peranakan. The Quanzhou Hokkien also migrated to towns in Sarawak.
Teochew immigrants from the Chaoshan region began to settle in Malaya in large numbers from the 18th century onwards, mainly in Province Wellesley and these immigrants were chiefly responsible for setting up gambier and pepper plantations in Malaya. More Teochew immigrated to Johor at the encouragement of Temenggong Ibrahim in the 19th century, many of them are the descendants of plantation workers who came to set up gambier and pepper plantations, following the administrative pattern of their countrymen in Johor.
Chinese immigrants from Hainan began to migrate to Malaya and North Borneo from the 19th century onwards, smaller communities of Hainanese are also found in Sarawak and Sabah, where they work as coffee shop owners and are mainly found in large towns and cities. Taiwanese people — Taiwanese people are people from Taiwan who share a common Taiwanese culture and speak Mandarin Chinese, Hokkien, Hakka, or Aboriginal languages as a mother tongue. At least three competing paradigms are used to someone as a Taiwanese person, nationalist criteria, self-identification criteria.
However, acculturation, intermarriage and assimilation have resulted in some degree of mixing of the Han, identities are not fixed, but fluid and change with time and memory or in response to a changing environment rather than stemming from a primordial or authentic source. The word Taiwanese people has multiple meanings and can refer to one of the following and this meaning is not accepted by the people of Kinmen and Matsu Islands.
Ancestors who before the Japanese rule of Taiwan had moved to the island of Taiwan, Penghu islands and this includes the ancient Yue people, Han-Chinese, Taiwanese aborigines as well as Dutch people. In addition, this later includes Japanese migrants from Japan to Taiwan during the Japanese rule of Taiwan and they may not necessarily be born or live in Taiwan. The earliest notion of a Taiwanese group identity emerged in the form of a national identity following the Qing Dynastys ceding of Taiwan to Japan in the Treaty of Shimonoseki in Prior to Japanese rule, residents of Taiwan developed relationships based on class solidarity, although Han often cheated Aborigines, they also married and supported one another against other residents of the same ethnic background.
This duality between one and other was evident in the seven years of violence between the Japanese and groups of united anti-Japanese Han and Aborigines, the concept of race was utilized as a tool to confirm and facilitate Japanese political policies. There is lots of space inside and also there is a huge garden attached which we were allowed to use.
The mattresses are all very good quality too. It's not very far by car from two great beaches. We can only recommend to stay here. We really enjoyed our stay on San Miguel. We were there the first week of June Helena is a wonderful hostess and the pictures do not do justice to her home in Agua d'Alto.
It was a perfect location to explore the island. We were a family group with 7 adults and there was more than enough room for all of us. Helena arranged for us to drop off our bags early and even worked around our 3 hour plane delay. She welcomed us with a selection of local treats, bread, wine, cheese The view is unbeatable and you can hear the waves from the bedroom at night. The space is cozy and comfortable. The host is very kind and gave us recommendations on where to eat. I very much enjoyed my stay in Vila Franca Do Campo.
I spent six nights here and it was a good location for trips around the island. The village also has a grocery store Solmar , walking distance from your place. Communication with Paulo was easy and he replied quickly. The place was easy to find with GPS, the street is narrow but there is a nearby parking lot. Paulo made me feel welcome and showed me around.
The little house with its own patio is equipped with what you need in the kitchen including oil and some spices and has fire extinguisher and wound disinfection. All spaces were very clean. At arrival the dining table was prepared with fruits, bread and bottled water. I could have used a little better lighting over the bathroom mirror. It feels safe with the hosting family staying next door but still your house is completely private.
This place is small though so actually ideal for one person but two not minding living close to each other would also be fine. The best thing with this place is the roaring ocean just outside your window with amazing views anywhere you look. The neighborhood is quiet, and boasts nearby shops within a short walk or drive for the travel-weary. As a host, Paulo is friendly, quick to respond, and very accommodating. He has a wealth of information for anyone looking for advice about the island. This Place is the best value of any place we have stayed on Sao Miguel.
The view is spectacular and we slept incredibly well to the sound of the ocean every night. If you hear a strange, almost frog like noise at night, they are Corys Shearwaters a large shorebird , we had a good time watching them fly around at night. The house is small but perfect for two and had everything we needed. Paulo even left is some fresh bread and fruit.
We had a small issue checking in only because I didn't have service and couldn't see the perfect directions Paulo had sent but other than that absolutely no issues. He even let us stay a additional night when our travel plans changed. Paulo was very friendly, and helpful. Even we got some local bread and fruits. It was very pleasant suprise. The view is awesome. Much better than the pictures.

We had a wonderful week in Paolo's Flat. The ocean was directly in front of our flat, so we could sleep with the waves in our ears. We also could cook nearly every day in the small kitchen. Simply but perfect Flat for a visit at Sao Miguel.

We had a very nice stay. Nice hosts, very helpful and amiable.
Simple, clean, priceworthy room with basic facilities. Great fish restaurant nearby. Walk to the village about half an hour. Cheap bakery with excellent gelao milk coffee , pastries and snacks there Nossa Senhora do Pao. The thing we loved most about this place is not really a thing at all. They make you feel like you're part of their family right from the start. I'm not sure I'd ever come to a place before and felt so comfortable and welcome the moment I'd arrived there.
We had a lot of fun with them, they helped us with some interesting tips and explained a lot about their culture and their family. They also have a lot of funny stories to share and they are genuinely interested in what you have to say. We really enjoyed the long talks we had with them. Sandra told us at the very beginning that we would be sorry for leaving their place and boy, was she right.
We also loved their pets - Zucca, Max, Duquesa and Cinderella are three adorable and friendly dogs and one beautiful cat. They have an interesting group dynamic and were so funny sometimes. They adore Sandra though, so be careful if you bring your own pets - they might just want to stay with her. It's a really short stroll to the beach and one of the best fish restaurants on the island Bar Caloura. Overall, in Sandra's words, you'll regret leaving this place.
The house is in a quiet neighborhood, just perfect if you want to relax: We arrived super late and Joao still took his time to explain us some parts of the island Thank you for having us!! We enjoyed our stay! You have your own back patio perfect for bird watching and the neighborhood is very quiet.
There is a great restaurant just steps away though this is the only place nearby so I definitely recommend a car! There aren't a lot of amenities but for the price this is definitely a good option. Joao had tons of information about the island to share and was easily accessible via text. My favorite Air BnB thus far! An amazing quiet location next to the ocean with a great view of a cliff.
The host, family, and dogs are extremely nice! Nice location, awesome view and it is close to a swimming spot. The hosts were very kind. If you want to wash your laundry than you have to do it with your hands in the garden at a sink. They have no washing machine. We had a good time there. His place is centrally located which made accessing every destination an easy drive as I had a rental car.
The accommodation itself was spotless and had a beautiful yard with banana trees and a lovely hammock. The beach was a two minute walk with great restaurants in town. Also a lovely fruit stand! Thank you for a great stay! S the kitchen is equipped with three great bowls for ramen noodles. Really confortable and with a good access to every part of the island.
In a quiet village, a lovely traditionnal house. The host was really nice and helpfull. Everything we needed was provided, and Paulina answered all our questions! We spent four days in Paulina's house and it was amazing! The view from the terrace is beautiful and the house very charming. Paulina is a very good and nice host with good advices: We highly recommend this place. Paulina's apartment lays in a very charming and quiet environment, almost next to the ocean. Probably good to have a car to reach around, but also buses are stopping nearby.
Paulina and her husband are very nice people, easygoing and still precise. I can highly recommend this place to have a good holiday in Sao Miguel! Paulina's place is a traditional stone cottage with a lot of character. I would recommend it for only two adventurous people rather than four as the loft may be a bit uncomfortable for sleeping. You need a good sense of direction and a small car to make it down the narrow street and into the gate of the house which is located on a hill. It has a nice patio overlooking the ocean where we had some of our meals.
The bathroom and linens need to be upgraded. A wonderful little house! Looks just like pictures. Tucked away in the hillside, you can see the ocean from the terrace. Easy to get to and a good location to explore the island from. Paulina is a gracious and very responsive host! Would certainly recommend to all: Paulina knows how to welcome you, our plane was late but she prepared all well, including a nice breakfast!! There was a baby bed for our little girl, thank you again! The place is very quiet, there's all you need in the kitchen, and the view is nice!
Because of the weather, the house is a bit cold, but the beds have lot of blankets and there's a small radiator. A nice place to stay, very convenient to visit Sao Miguel Island! You should come here without hesitations ;-. She made us a chocolate cake!! She is a wonderful host by nature, very helpful and a great conversationalist.
Her tips helped our the island experience go from good to great. If we plan another trip here I will definitely come back here. Very cosy and well equiped appartment with extremely nice service from Eleni. She has been very attentive, yet very discreet. To say this place is above and beyond is an understatement, in every possible way. Eleni's hospitality is unmatched. She waited up for us when we arrived after midnight and greeted us with a hug. She stocked the fridge with all kinds of goodies from homemade chocolate cake deliscious!!!
And the space itself is absolutely incredible. The views are out of this world, and the loft is a little slice of heaven. Stylishy decorated and absolutely pristine, we felt like we were staying in the best possible spot on the whole island. We felt so lucky to have found this place. Eleni and her husband were the best hosts! Our stay was amazing in this gorgoues house! Eleni and Gorge are so kind and full of good advices.
If we come back one day, we know where we will stay. I can't rave enough about Eleini and her beautiful guest loft. My wife and I stayed four nights and we didn't want to leave. Beautiful space and a great location on the island. Eleni's welcome basket and hospitality was first rate. CK seaside loft was perfect. Breathtaking views, great hospitality, and such a clean welcoming space.
We loved the property so much we plan on having our wedding here next summer! We enjoyed our stay thoroughly. The home was clean and tastefully furnished. A portable heater was provided as there was no central heating system. The bed was comfortable with a good amount of pillows and blankets. The shower was equipped with a rainfall showerhead that was a pleasure to use. After check-in, Maria surprised us with homemade squash soup that was delicious!
She also provided an assortment of snacks salted peanuts, cake, biscuits, cookies as well as jams, honey, ham, cheese, eggs, bread and fruit. Beer, juice and water were found in the fridge. You could be tempted to have most of your meals at Maria's home, but go out and explore the beautiful island of Sao Miguel! We spent 1 night in Casa da Quinta and had a very nice stay! Thank you very much Maria for all the goodies chocolate cake, cookies, bread, home made jam, etc. And special thanks to the house maid Ana who has been so nice with us! We would definitely recommend this place!
We had a wonderful experience at Maria's place. We arrived late and had a soup, a cake, and plenty of other nice things waiting for us. The house is very well equipped and really cosy. Maria makes everything to make you feel at home. Never felt so welcomed. This is a fantastic place to stay!
We booked it as home base for our driving trips a around the island, and just like the other reviews, it did not disappoint. Not only is it a cute and comfortable place to rest and clean up, it has a full kitchen with everything you need to prep meals and boasts terrific views of the ocean. Maria is so generous: There's a supermarket within walking distance and restaurants close by.
She recommended some other restaurants around the island that were perfect as well. Honestly, we will recommend Casa Da Quinta to everyone we know. We enjoyed every monent in Maria's lovely apartment.

It was not just the warm welcome including a delicious cake, soup and a well filled fridge. Maria also gave us helpful advices for activities on this beautiful island. Thank a lot for everything, Maria! Such lovely hospitality and a beautiful location, we enjoyed our stay so much. Highly highly recommended for couples staying on Sao Miguel!
We spend 10 days at Marias wonderful house. The house was better than expected! Very comfortable, clean and new renovated. The Bathroom is tidy and also very well equipped washer, towels, soap, hair dryer Upstairs you can find a nice bedroom with large TV an enough space Arround the house you can find a great garden and a private terrace also with view onto the atlantic. Maria has been always lovely and helpful sightseeing tips, new towel, fresh vegetable, etc.
We enjoyed our trip from the first second!!! The four of us enjoyed staying here. It accommodated us well. Beatriz's son, Miguel was easy to contact for directions to help us find our way. The ocean pool was beautiful and at low tide you can see little creatures. It was a little cold to swim in so we've already said that next time we'll have to go back in July but then we would miss the Festival of Sao Miguel which was really fun to see. This place exceeds all expectations and surpasses the pictures. The sea water pool is priceless and the sunsets over the ocean are amazing.
We will be back to QVA and would highly recommend to anyone looking for a wonderful stay in the Azores. Fantastic house with a stunning view on a perfect location. The swimming pool, the ocean pool, the peace of the surrounding banana plants, just perfect. A car is more of less required to reach the house. The place is amazing, it's better than how it looks in the photo. Everything was clean and tidy. Wish it was warm enough to use the pool while enjoying the stunning view: These units are awesome.
From the clean, modern spaces right through the incredible pool and deck space down past the shared BBQ and sitting area an on to the sea-water pool on the edge of the ocean this spot is incredible. At the price we paid, it was a very good value for an outstanding vacation spot! The place was fabulous. Both pools are beautiful. The place was fully stocked with everything you need and extra towels. Definitely want to come back. What a charming place! Convenient especially for the east side.
Only about 15 or so minutes to Furnas areas. If you going to visit Azores - don't hesitate any more minutes - this place is simple the best!!! Mariana is very kindess and hospitality person with amazing attention to details, she made our hollidays like a fairy tale! And the appartment is large, stylish, full equipment with all that you may need.
The balcon is awesome and we were happy every morning to see outstanding spectacular view to the ocean and surroundings. Apparently it's our best airbnb experience! Perfect place to spend your holidays. The apartment was clean, sunny, calm and modern. And that perfect view from the balcony!!! Also the owner-Mariana is very kind and helpful. The place is great!! Beautiful views from the balcony! We travelled with a 6-month baby and Mariana was able to provide a crib, changing table, high chair and a bath tub - all of which was a great help!
We loved our time there, the apt is very clean and everything you need is there! Huge for two of us with an amazing balcony with fantastic views plus hammock, outdoor table etc. The apartment was spotless. The location was also perfect. Really quiet but v near everywhere by car. Marianna was so warm and welcoming and always extremely helpful. Couldnt praise her enough. Mariana was easy to communicate with as we shared our phone numbers and always got back to me instantly.

If you are visiting Sao Miguel, Mariana's place makes it a much better experience!!! En bref je recommande! Nice spacious layout with backyard terrace and very large shared backyard! Antonio was more then helpful with extra towels and linen provided, even brought us fresh hot bread on one morning! Lovely spot to stay in the middle of the island, easy to travel to the main attractions. Would recommend to friends! Antonio's place is close to both Ponta Delgada and Vila Franco do Campo if you like the city and several great beaches -- Caloura Praia bring your mask and snorkel , Agua d'Alto, and Baixa d'Areia Praia walkable from the apartment.
We appreciated the beach towels Antonio provided, and it was convenient to have the use of a washing machine. Also, it was lovely to have outdoor seating. You will only want to be outdoors when you visit the Azores. The apartment is very cosy, has 3 levels and is nicely decorated. The location is great to explore the island and to visit a beautiful beach nearby.
We enjoyed our stay a lot! Antonio is a very nice host. This home is a very quite place and an ideal situation to visit San Miguel. A great studio townhouse apartment with a loft, good for people two couples. The whole apartment is one space, with full visibility and audibility.
Very nice patio outside the front door for breakfasts. The local blues festival was a nice experience, too. The location was perfect, central to everything we wanted to do. The space was huge, beautiful and had everything we could have wanted as well as a space to park our rental car. Very nice place to stay. Supermarket 20m away from the entrance.
The building is located close to the highway which makes travelling in Sao Miguel very fast and easy. Flat is very big and sunny with two great terraces! Welcome pack with the basket filled with local food was amazing! We really enjoyed our stay in this apartment. The location was perfect, since there was a grocery store right next to us and the drive to Ponta Delgada was short.
Also, there was everything we needed during our stay. Only negative thing in the apartment was a funny smell, but if the host fixes that, this apartment would be just great. A very nice apartment, full of comforts, perfect clean and with a kind hospitality. Near the oceans and the shops. Very professional but friendly host. The apartment was in really good conditions. The terraces are quite nice. We had a wonderful stay at the sky appartment.
Well located to start from to travel the island. The appartment itself was very clean and neat. Welcome basket at our arrival. Two nice terraces where you can see the sea or the mountains behind. Not the most charming area but calm and safe. Parking lot for our rented car. Big SolMar supermarket just around the corner. Really spacious, nice and clean. Has a very nice balcony on both sides and a good location. Would recommend it to every one.

The host is very nice and replies quickly. We forgot a tshirt and he was able to send it back for us! Relatively new and well furnished apartment with a nice balcony located in a residential area of Villa Franco. We found it a great spot to explore the Island from via car. Wifi worked great and all amenities as well. This was a great apartment with an amazing view. Plenty of space for 4 adults and 2 kids. Everything was clean and modern. Management was very nice and helpful. Loved staying at Marin Mar II! Great views, huge apartment, perfect location! It is right next to the beach with ocean views from the master bedroom and living room.
Vila Franca do Campo was quieter than Ponta Delgada and they have tours to the tiny island just off the coast. The town is central to everything and with the rental car we could travel to almost anywhere on the island within an hour. This was a lovely, clean home that looked just as it does in the pictures.
The hosts were very responsive and quickly tried to address our needs. Just something to keep in mind when selecting your lodging. Although not included in the listing, the master bedroom of this house does have air conditioning. We requested a fan for a second bedroom and the hosts quickly provided it. It is in a great location for exploring all ends of the island.
The terrace and views down to the sea make it an amazing place to relax. Maria was a brilliant host and provided us with everything we needed for our stay and more. She takes great pride in her beautiful property and she made our stay very comfortable. I cannot recommend her place enough. Thank you for everything Maria! What an amazing place! Maria was a great host, very easy to communicate with and put some thoughtful touches into our stay.
I would highly recommend! Maria has created a beautiful, warm, cosy home. Incredibly designed and built with stunning views of the surrounding countryside and ocean, set in an idyllic rural yet easily accessible location. Maria was delightfully friendly and helpful, I highly recommend this property. My first visit to the Azores was marked by this house and its location.
Has a fantastic view of sea and countryside. And the house is amazing. All my family love it. Maria 's place is great. Great location, quiet, with an amazing view, 2 lovely cats, good accommodation, very clean. We were very well welcome by Maria with some local gifts. Thanks a lot for these dream days. What a great place and hospitality. Maria made sure we enjoy the place and made every effort to make this unforgettable experience. She even made a gift for our little one and dropped it before we left. Our only regret was we didn't stay longer. The house is just too cute.
A real dream house. And Maria is one kind of a host. Not only she waited for us to show us the house but also, she had such grateful attentions to make sure that we will feel welcome at her place: During your stay, you can be sure to count on her whenever needed with a big respect for your personal life. Said otherwise, Maria is there whenever needed, without showing you that she's around. Regarding the place, the mattresses are great: We slept like never in those mattresses. Along with the silence, the experience was great.
Both of us are small sleepers and thanks to the environment and the bed, we slept more than Thank you for that Maria. Also, the view is just beautiful: One last thing regarding the pets: The cats and the dog are the real owners of the house but they are so adorable that they add to the pleasure staying at that place. We definitely recommend it as our stay at that place was just a pure moment of joy. Angelina is a very nice host, we had a warm welcome! She was there, when we needed her and during the time she gave us some presents like food or fruits from the garden.
The house is great and the location awesome. Caloura is a special place to be! The house is located in a privileged area, very close to the sea in a very calm neighbourhood. Nearest supermarkets at 5min driving distance. The house was nicely decorated and the view from the terrasse was unique.
